Wienerschnitzel Modesto Reviews
Besides it being very pricey.. it was delicious.
Came from out of town for a weekend convention and ate here twice. Clean, good food, fresh, and good service. Haven't been to a nice, clean WS in years.
Chicago dogs are good, polish sandwiches are really good but I will pass on the backyard veggie dogs next time. The Chili cheese fries are a must cravable!
I absolutely love this place! They have the best chili (also available in a can for take-home), plus this place has been the same since I was a kid. It's nice that they have not changed the look of the building, bright and bold it's unique and memorable!👍🌭🫘
We love coming here for some good chili cheese fries. We recently went and had Bonnie helping us and she has the best customer service. She was so nice and pleasant! People don't realize how much that makes a difference but it made our night. Thank you Bonnie
I love that they have 6 chili cheese dogs and 3 fries for like $20 ! And they had these totally hilarious hats for $10 that read I love weiners, lol! It was pouring rain and it only took maybe 10 minutes after I ordered in the drive thru to get my too hot to eat food , thanks . Kept me from trying to eat them while I was driving in the crazy rain ! My fav fast food experience in a long time !
Great hot dogs and friendly staff. Only thing I would say is that the prices are so high even for just plain hot dogs They charge a lot. I guess that's inflation for ya...
I really like the corn dogs and my mom is crazy about their all beef chili dogs. I'm ready to try their new bird dogs!! 😁
If you aren't looking to sit down and eat this WS is pretty decent, they get there food out fast and hot.
I mean it's expensive in my opinion for what it offers , it's hard to make hot dogs taste different but the burger is alright just not worth cost in my opinion but ice cream can't be beat.
They definitely can use some outside seating and have a restroom for those that are purchasing items. Food was all right funny sign at the door. Food was pretty good corn dogs were amazing. One thing I didn’t like was the fries. They were too thin. Our baby boy Genesis approved of everything he liked all the food.
My recent foray into the drive-thru of Wienerschnitzel at the Five Points enclave on McHenry Ave beckons a nuanced evaluation, culminating in a restrained rating of 3 stars. The tempo of the culinary ballet orchestrated within the hallowed hallway kitchen of Wienerschnitzel was, regrettably, a discordant note in an otherwise promising symphony. The languid pace of food production, akin to the measured tempo of a nostalgic waltz, left a discerning patron yearning for a more expeditious and harmonious ballet of flavors. Amidst this culinary sonnet, a singular ray of brilliance emerged – the chili dogs. An ode to gastronomic delight, transcending the mundane, offering a soliloquy that momentarily elevate the whole sloppy glizzy experience. The chili is always good. From the mothership, surely. Yet, in the red roofed swiss-house's refinement, the maestros behind Wienerschnitzel must not lose sight of the broader operatic landscape. The specter of recently shuttered A&W and the erstwhile Wienerschnitzel on Carpenter Road casts a looming shadow, a requiem for establishments that failed to dance to the tempo of progress. The artistry of roasting a glizzy, like a delicate soufflé, demands precision and alacrity. In this regard, this Wienerschnitzel finds itself at a crossroads, where the measured cadence of my local microwave's prowess threatens to outshine the languorous grace of the drive-thru experience. In parting, as I thumb out this critique, I implore the artisans and the management at Wienerschnitzel to heed the whispering winds of change. May this discourse be a symphony of opportune improvements, ensuring that the next dance staged at Five Points is a resplendent ode to the art of epicurean finesse.
Within the year this place has declined. The outside is an embarrassment to Modesto. This location is iconic and looks like a dump now. Needs painted amongst much more. The cooler water on the roof is leaking green/black slime. They removed all the outdoor seating and the place is falling apart. The food....well... They put maybe 1 tablespoon of chili on the burgers and about the same for the chili dogs. The fries are cold and old. The lady cooking was too busy talking to what looked like the manager/owner so it took a long time to get the food. The only thing good about this place is the lady named Bonnie. She is so kind and helpful and has great public relations. Give her a raise!!!!!
There needs to be a lot of training at this location they must have new people. Customer service not very good. Tried to hand me a soda that was dripping everywhere from where they filled it and wanted me to put it in my car. I don't understand why common Sense isn't so common. The road is so tore up where they drive through is but you don't want to even drive a nice vehicle in their parking lot.. loss of business.
Went there to order the man was so rude from the start it was like I was inconviencing him he had nothing but attitude no wonder it's slow there.
Watched the lady in the back put her bare hands all over my food. When confronted about it she lied and said she had used a tool to move the food over not her hands. Then her son told me to shut up, that this was his mother. And not to speak. They did give me a refund. But what a disgusting way to serve people food and to speak to your customers. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Ordered a regular chili cheese fries which are $5.99 without tax. I was down the street and looked at my food, and was given a joke amount of fries, beans and cheese. I went back (within 4min) and I’m assuming the guy is the manager, tells me they now WEIGH their fries. I asked when was that put in place because I was just at this location last week. He said it started this week. I asked for a refund and he tells me that I did purchase the small and they now weigh their chili fries. I told him he’s a liar and he’s making that up. I never heard that and visit other weinersnitzel’s in town and never received chili fries like this.
DECEMBER 2, 2023 THEY DELETED MY PREVIOUS POST!! Beyond disappointing and disgusted with the fact they are trying to hide that they served this to a pregnant woman! They are taking 0 accountability and No apologies were given to me in person for a refund! Shame on the employee Ana and the Bold guy with glasses! They both seemed to find this funny that I consumed food that had a fly in it!
