Helpful and friendly staff, excellent pizzoccheri at a fair price. When you arrive, look for the sign; it's accessed via a paved, drive-through path.
I'll be back! My family and I chose this place for lunch on August 15th. The place is clean and tidy, with a panoramic view. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is exceptional, everything is really good! There's not much parking.
There were 17 of us for lunch on Sunday and we ate wonderfully. All the dishes were excellent, from appetizers to dessert. The Taroz, sciatt, and pizzoccheri were sublime. Very beautiful restaurant. The service was attentive and available to meet every request. What can I say... Excellent!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We had an appetizer for two, a charcuterie board, and a scampi. Then we had two portions of pizzoccheri, both excellent, and a tagliata with potatoes, 1/4 cup of wine, a bottle of water, dessert, and coffee. It all came to just over €50 for two. Homemade cooking, delicious ingredients, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back.
Was the best night of our trip! We were a group of 6 and we called in advance to ensure a table. The waitress welcomed us warmly and she offered a great meal! Their menu is short but everything is too good. We ordered the Antipasto della casa, including delicious fried balls out of wheat and local cheese, and then cured meats and cheese. For the first dish we tried both options, pasta ai fungi, amazing sauce, and tagliolini al ragu, either a savoury sauce. Then we shared the grilled meat, served in a warm stone, perfectly cooked and tender. We took desserts and coffee and wine, and we only payed 32€ per person! Definitely recommended 🫶🫶
Amazing night. Every dish was perfectly made. The waitress was super sweet. I would recommend it for everyone. We had antipasti, primeri, secondo, dolce, coffee, wine and water for 32€ Vegetarian options too :)
We stayed here for two nights and also had dinner. The atmosphere was very refined and familiar. The owner was very helpful. The rooms were basic and clean. A truly excellent stay in Rasura. The evening dinner, based on Valtellina dishes, was really good, and breakfast was also good. So, a very positive review and thanks to Tamara for her hospitality and service. A place to return to enjoy more peace and quiet and excellent cuisine!
Amazing food and ladies host.
A charming lodge with a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff was young and very welcoming. The portions were generous and excellent. We ordered mixed cold cuts with sciatt (a type of pasta) accompanied by salad, pizzoccheri (a type of pasta), tagliatelle with venison ragù, and polenta with sausage and braised beef. For dessert, the chocolate salami was delicious. Everything was delicious.
I'm updating my review after a quick break during these hot August days, stopping by the Baita, this time on half-board. I can confirm our complete satisfaction with the accommodations: a room with a private bathroom, airy, sunny, furnished with care, simplicity, and taste, and very clean. A pleasant surprise was the small but delightful outdoor area (like a balcony, but much more) with a view of the surrounding mountains and the valley; a small table, armchair, and chairs, all surrounded by greenery and with a gate that allows for a peaceful exit from the back of the building. Breakfast was more than adequate. Everything was always very well taken care of. Thanks to Tamara and her staff. First experience at Ronco di Rasura this year in July, for dinner. The Baita is on a splendid natural balcony overlooking the Gerola Valley: a splendid panorama of the surrounding peaks. The stone structure of the restaurant and accommodation is striking, especially since it is surrounded by a garden full of flowers and colors. Attention to detail both inside and out. A very welcoming place. Mrs. Tamara welcomed us warmly and with friendliness. The dishes were excellent (both in quality and quantity, but I'd like to emphasize the quality and excellent service): tasty and generous sciatt with a side of sliced white chicory—a huge portion—with baked potatoes, Braulio sorbet, and good local wine. All served with care and friendliness. We later learned that the Baita also offers rooms: we hope to return in the near future and spend at least a long, peaceful weekend here, away from the usual tourist traps. Recommended for those who love quiet, trekking, walking (the trails here are well-marked but not suitable for "Sunday tourists" in sneakers or flip-flops...) to discover these places and the excellent cuisine! Last but not least: excellent value. One of the few places with fair prices without compromising on the undoubted quality.
We hosted my 70th birthday lunch there. The dishes were high-quality and delicious; the service was very efficient and attentive; the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and familiar inside, and the outside was beautiful and scenic, with a valley and mountains that...enjoyed your eyes and soul.
This isn't my first time here. The Valgerola mountains have been very dear to me since I was little, when I used to vacation there with my grandparents and uncles. The Ronco hut was a pleasant discovery (I'd stayed there for a night in 2009) and even just for lunch several times. Good-quality food, attentive and friendly service, and the warmth of the stove give a feeling of great inner peace and happiness (which is what I take home with me every time). I hope the amaretti and ricotta cake and the chocolate salami are handmade (they were delicious!), just as the tagliata was delicious.
Great regional cuisine. Friendly service.
Superb Valtellina food in a typical atmosphere. This place is a must.

Capitati per caso in questo grazioso posticino. Accoglienza e cibi buonissimi.
Panorama stupendo. A presto...
Ambiente caldo e familiare, semplice. Ottima cucina tipica, personale davvero gentile e molto flessibile per quanto riguarda le richieste del cliente. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
Excellent lunch with a wonderful view. All the dishes we were served were excellent. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the view is truly enchanting. The service was also excellent; the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It's not difficult to get to. The only downside is the parking, which isn't the most convenient. A must-try.
