The best BBQ on EARTH!! Everything on the menu is excellent. Cool staff, clean tables. Food portions are great. The food is so good, my wife and I come here during the summer all the way from Los Angeles just to eat this food, so you know it’s good! We can’t wait to come back again. Love this place! The food is simply amazing. Had a talk with the owner the other day and I must say he is such a down to earth individual. If you haven't had their baked potato ....oh my goodness it's just too good!!!

Driving through Mt. Prospect and happened past Outlaws. Great service, great food. Brisket was tender and the ribs were tender and were perfect. Great sauce - highly recommend- will come back in the future.

First off the staff was fantastic! The Beef and Ribs are great. I am a big fan of craft beers, The Porter that Mark served us was fantastic. We are going to be back.

Great food and the customer service was impeccable. I'm from out of town and asked a buddy from here where I could get BBQ, and he said there is only ONE place and that was Outlaws. He was right. I will make the three hour drive just to eat here again!

Fantastic food and super friendly people!! I personally suggest getting the dinner plate because it has a little of everything so that you can sample it all!! Everything is freshky made, smoked, cooked, etc. and the carved up right in front of you. There are different sauces you can use as well... although one of them is out of this world spicy, so use just a drop, lol. All in all....amazing!

Outlaws serves BBQ beef, pork, chicken, turkey & ribs plus great sides. My friends from Tyler stated this is the best BBQ they have ever had.

We were recommended here and as someone that hasn't always cared for BBQ I was blown away!! We went back and bought the 2 sides we liked the most to take back to camp for the other boys. The pulled pork sandwiches, beans and O.M.G. those potatoes were such a hit!! I had the turkey and WOW! Hats off to you guys for turning me on to some good BBQ and making my husband happy!! When we come back for another hunt we will definitely be back!

Amazing smoked turkey! I ordered a three meat plate and got turkey, pulled pork and brisket. The baked beans are some of the tastiest I've had the pleasure to eat. The service was attentive, friendly and smiles on their faces. High quality food is what draws you in but it's the spirit of the place which continue to bring you back. Definitely a keeper!

Edit: as long as you go inside and ask them for the fat on the brisket, you will get it 🤤 Sliced brisket is good, but a little too lean. I wish they would leave the fat on when I ask them to. Ribs had sauce on them which I’m not a fan of.. dry rub for me! The greens are to die for and the Turkey is really moist.

My three fiends and I were driving through on our way home to Louisiana, saw this place and stopped. Extremely friendly staff and phenomenally great BBQ. I had the ribs, brisket and chicken, it was all well flavored. Add a little bit of there sauce and you have some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. All four of us will definitely becoming back.

I ordered the Outlaw Platter to get a sampling of meats and they were all fantastic. The brisket had a nice bark, beautiful smoke ring and great flavor. Customer service was on point. Check this place out!

Best brisket I've had at a bbq joint - tender, juicy, fatty, flavorful. Not over-salted/brined or excessively seasoned. The pork ribs hit the spot. The rub was a little sweet for my liking, more savory than sweet is a personal preference, but the quality of the smoke more than made up for it. The meat fell off the bone and was juicy and tender, not dry, which is the standard. The bones were at the perfect level of softness so the marrow just melted out, which in my view exceeds standards. That's what I'm looking for in a rib. The pulled pork is just fatty enough to not be greasy, which is what you want. Tender, juicy, goes really well with their sauce and sides. The bbq sauce is sweet and tangy but not overwhelming and not too salty, it pairs perfectly with the meat as they prepare it. The beer is exceptional. Hands down the best watering hole in Mt Pleasant.

I usually judge a bbq restaurant by their brisket. I think you ought to be able to sense 3 different levels of smoke. I could smell the smoke, I could see the smoke ring, & I could taste the smoke in a perfectly flavored, slab of moist red meat. They smashed my first test! Next stop, potato salad & coleslaw. Sides are important & I think those 2 are bbq staples. And once again, so good, it should be illegal. Neither of the fellas working would take full credit, rather remarked that was a team effort. Friendly, efficient, & oh so tasty!! Y’all go treat yo self!!

My husband and I stopped there today on our way home to S.D. This place is fantastic for BBQ lovers! Who complained about the ribs? Ours was the best we've ever had! Plus the beef brisket is beyond excellent. We will be back!

This was phenomenal! Came all the way from Michigan, first time in Texas and I was going to get Texas bbq. This did not disappoint! Brisket and chicken was great. But the barbecue was amazingly good. I should have got some to take home it was so good!

This is a definite go to place when in the area. Food is delicious here! Atmosphere is nice, well kept and clean, customer service is good. Try the baked potato with chopped beef topped with their BBQ sauce. Kids enjoy the sloppy joes.

What really made the experience was challenging the cooks to light me up. They shared with us a sauce that was diabolical and checked ever box on my list for great sauces. Hot, delicious, and paired perfectly with their meat. 5/5 would recommend again!

You'll miss this place if you're not careful. But don't miss it, because it's dang good BBQ. I stopped in while I was in town for business, and I'm glad I did. I got the turkey sandwich, and I almost didn't finish it, along with the beans and potato salad. And I always finish my BBQ. The smell that greets you when you walk through the door is worth the visit. They have craft beer brewed in-house, and wine from local sources. The owner is a cool guy who is definitely a gem in the community. Seriously, just get you some.

It's going to be hard to find better BBQ in East Texas. A definite place to visit for BBQ lovers if in Mt Pleasant. I have yet to find a better BBQ. The chop beef is great. Friendly staff with a variety of fixings. This is down right good food.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The amount of meat was generous and was off the charts tender. It's rare that I find meat that practically melts in your mouth. The only reason I gave it 5 stars is because they don't have a 10 star option.

Stopped by here for the first time! The pulled pork was amazing the flavor was outstanding and was so juicy! Service was amazing. The H.A.F. hot sauce is made in house and it WILL open the sinuses right up. The regular hot sauce has a zing to it. The mild has no heat to it. All 3 of the hot sauces have amazing flavor too. I will definitely go back for some more.

Ohhhhh my goodness! Food is out of this world great! Brisket passes the pull test, taste is awesome, and the sides are yummy! Stay away from the mild BBQ sauce though - that stuff will take the hairs off your tongue! It's good, but a small amount will do!

OUTSTANDING brisket. Everything else looked great but we came for the brisket and stayed for the peach cobbler. Sweet tea tasted great, potato salad was very good, and the Cole slaw was fresh. In town for business and was looking for a good balanced dinner (meat and sides). So glad that I found this place. I ordered the brisket, potato salad and baked beans. Everything was prepared perfectly. And it was a hefty serving size. This will definitely be my go to spot while I’m here. And Nathan helped me out. This barbecue restaurant was recommended on the Orange Bloods Texas sports fan forum. The decor was a fun blend of Western, and Texan memorabilia. The beef brisket was tender and infused with a robust Smoky flavor. The sausage popped with flavor, and the Smoked Turkey was delicately flavored. The cole slaw was cold and crunchy, and the potato sides were smooth and filling. For desert we split a piece of Pecan Pie that had a flaky crust and delicious filling that was not too sweet like many pecan pies are. All of the employees were Texas friendly. Next time we are passing through the area, we will make it a point to stop again.

It was our first visit. It will not be our last!! Brisket was melt in your mouth tender. The ribs were just the right chew and finger pull off the bone. Our sides were baked beans, macaroni salad, creamy broccoli/cauliflower salad, pickled cucumber/onion red pepper. All were delicious.

Been here twice now and have had the chopped beef, sausage and pulled pork. All the meats have been delicious and tasty. Tried the baked beans, potato salad and potato casserole and have not been let down yet. Good service, nice people and bomb food. Would recommend if you are in the area!

Outlaws BBQ is a 10/10 I spent two weeks vacationing in the US and tried many restaurants, but none compared to Outlaws BBQ. I found myself going back almost every day. The food is incredibly delicious, no matter what you choose. And it’s not just the meat that’s exceptional – the side dishes are also top-notch! As a tourist, the world of BBQ on this scale was somewhat new to me, and initially, I felt quite overwhelmed. However, the extremely friendly staff were very helpful and open to conversation, making me feel very welcome. The ambiance is just perfect and fits the concept. To leave my mark, I even brought a license plate to contribute. I’m still raving about the food to this day, and a return visit is a must!

Everything we ate was delicious. The brisket was almost fat free, moist and tender. The chicken was out of this world with flavor and moistness. Didn’t try all the meats but we will be back to try the rest. Oh yea, the beans and corn were amazing.

The brisket was incredibly flavorful and tender, the ribs truly fell off the bone, and the jalapeño sausage had the perfect level of spice. The sides were all delicious, with plenty of great options to choose from. On top of the amazing food, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. It was also a pleasure meeting Mark, the owner—what a great guy! A fantastic experience from start to finish and hands down one of the best places for authentic Texas BBQ. Highly recommend!

A "chopped beef" sandwich at Outlaw's is a culinary delight. Skip the ribs. It's not their strength. The BBQ is the star.

O M G.....My son and I walked in and were greeted with big smiles and then the ordering was explained and the options to go with your meat...we both ordered the turkey dinner..probably 2 pounds of the most moist, delicious turkey breast EVER....I'm 63 and never tasted anything so good...we both chose the beans and Mac salad..the beans were so yummy and the Mac salad was not sweet at all and just perfectly cooked, my son said he has never tasted turkey so moist...Mark and the staff were great, he came our to our table and answered questions from us, he even gave out his secret for his delicious meats but I'm not telling you on here, lololololol..you will have to stop in grab a bite and ask him yourself..

The first thing that struck me and my partner about this place is how kind everyone was behind the counter, the owner/manager/staff were simply wonderful - each of them. The menu is simple and straightforward and it is easy to be bewildered by how amazing the food smells. We asked them to cut the fat off our brisket - they did so - and we happened to see a couple of slabs of brisket...it looked delicious. Their food was wonderfully delicious, my partner said it was the best she has had. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful their food is...we are from out of town and we would like them to set up shop in our town but at least we have a reason to visit. Their food is a bit pricey but there was nothing hidden about the prices. We knew how much we were paying and we happily paid. They sell the Coke-Cola bottled in Mexico, my girlfriend couldn't resist. We ate at lunch, next time I might have to try their beer.

I had been to a competitor in town and it was small portions a d ok at best and very expensive. So I decided to try Outlaws BBQ. Their 2 meat plate had twice the meat as the other place. I had pulled pork and brisket, backed beans and potato salad. The meat was so soft and meat portions plenty large! I highly recommend this place!

Ok a road trip to Fort Worth I wanted to try some authentic bbq. I was going to stop in Memphis but I decided to keep driving . Then I found a place outside of little Rock to try, but unfortunately they closed at 2 pm & I didn't pass through there in time . Luckily, my wife wanted Starbucks & we missed both stores in Texarkana, So i found one a few minutes off the interstate & saw there was this bbq place there . Of course I took the time to stop in & try it because the reviews looked decent I got a half pound brisket meal . My 2 sides were the bbq baked beans & collard greens w/ mustard sauce.. I have had collard greens once or twice in my life & I could eat theres all day. The bbq baked beans were probably the best I have had in my life . My wife got coleslaw & corn, both excellent . I liked that they let you serve yourself the sides so you can pile on as much as you want Brisket was decent , I added the mild/sweet sauce with mine. Apparently they brew beer there too, but I was driving so I didn't partake, but just an fyi Only complaint was when I asked for a plastic cup to go ( I was going to fill it with sauce ) the owner/manager got upset &;asked why I needed it..I said I had brisket & I was willing to pay for it., But he gave me a full plastic cup of it to go . But the sauce is so good I figure people might try and come in & just get sauce without ordering anything . Who's knows . It's worth going off the main highway to experience the place in my opinion ..

Stopped for lunch and got the 2 meat dinner plate. It’s a little pricey, but the food is good. Brisket is perfectly smoky and juicy. Delicious ribs are perfectly smoked. Potato salad is more like loaded mashed potatoes, but is very tasty. Great food and good service!

Really great restaurant. Barbecue was really good and brisket was awesome. Jalapeno cheddar sausage also awesome. Ranch style beans, black eyed peas and baked beans were very good. I thought the only negative would be very minor in the ribs there was a very little bit of char that was way too charred. Even though the meat did fall off the bone. Great food and service. I would definitely return here in the future.

These guys know meat, the service was great, super friendly, and good to chat with. Don't know what to order? No problem, you can't go wrong here. Just order a 2 meat (or more!) Dinner of whatever sounds best and sit back and soak up the goodness. Careful with the hot AF sauce, it's the real deal and real good.

The staff were good at taking care of us and friendly. I have never been here before. The food was very good and it was fairly fast. I ate the prime rib cooked medium and it was very good along with the vegetables and baked potato.

Stopped here on our way to San Antonio from Little Rock. The brisket and smoked sausage were good. The staff was friendly. Nice start to our trip.

I love the BBQ here it's very good. Their loaded baked potatoes are amazing. The reason I gave it 4 starts and not a solid 5 is that their water and all their sodas taste like a lake. They need to seriously consider RO water filtration or something. I can't drink anything there and have brought my own drinks on more than one occasion.

Return visit to a very good BBQ in Mt Pleasant. Cafeteria style serving with very good meat and sides . Had pulled pork and slaw. Other sides looked good too. Would return but bring cash next time as they are a part of the third party scam on upcharges. Blame it on credit card company fees when it is a third party doing the extra charging. Can't even go anywhere without a credit card anymore. Who carries cash. Yikes. What's next. Charge for a fork.

So tried this BBQ joint today and have to say the food was pretty darn good. The brisket was just a little dry but enjoyable. Sausage was on point, chicken was good and the pork was delicious. The greens were outstanding and the green beans cooked right with pork meat as the seasoning. Tried the very hot sauce and after eating about half of the little cup they gave me it kicked in a little, cleared the sinuses a little. Good Q we'll be back.

Service was very good, the bbq meat did not live up to my expectation at least in comparison to the bbq places in the DFW metro area. Their really hot sauce was very hot 🔥, they get 10/10 for it. The brisket gets 8/10, the ribs were not as good as expected 5/10, the cheddar jalapeno sausage gets 10/10. Their medium and mild sauce did live up to my expectation, their were good as well. Peach cobbler was also good 8/10. Overall it is a 4 star, the sides were good especially the potato and mac salad. They seem to be popular in the town as it was filling up by the time we were leaving around 4pm.

The gentleman that I think owns the place was nice. The workers were ok. The brisket was a little dry. Had to use a lot of bbq sauce on it to make it a little moist. The tea was not good. Very weak.

I would try the veggies if they were not so dried up theres a crust on them. Makes me wonder about the brisket. Does it just sit on that table all day too and that saice looked like it was put in that container a week ago and was tuning into jelly so i tossed it out. The sandwich meat was real fatty and room temperature even after I asked for lean meat. Thats the 3rd strike.

Sorry, but the last time I get food from this restaurant. My wife and I got 2 meat plates, with one shared baked potato, because they only had one size. Wife wanted a small potato, so I split one with her. They charged me $10.99 +tax, nothing but butter and sour cream for it. $32 +tax for 2 - 2meat plates. I got 4 half slices of brisket, a bunch of sausage. Wife's was the same, we would have liked more brisket and less sausage. On the up side it all tasted good. I looked at their menu, potato should have only cost 7.99, so we were overcharged. 😕

Worst place to get ribs they were old and tough and still had the membrane on them I don't recommend this place for BBQ they don't make good on their food payed 44 dollars on terrible ribs spoke to Brandon and the owner they would not make things right worst BBQ place ever!

This place is outrageous with their prices. I went to have lunch one day and all I got was a baked potato with chopped beef a side of beans and a drink and it was $25. The flavor was nothing to smack your momma over, I can honestly say I won’t be back to this place.

ordered ribs and they were dry/ OVERCOOKED with burnt end could not even chew them. Took back with receipt and was told by Owner to never come back! How's that for service?! Obviously doesn't care about consumers. I told him don't worry with your attitude and quality of food that will not be a problem.
