Seven Suns Coffee Mount Shasta Reviews
Great little coffee shop with bunch of coffee, tea and food options. It can get crowded in the morning hours. There’s street parking so that can be challenging sometimes. Service is good and food is delicious! The granola cookie they have is out of this world!
Local Lemurian legend has it that a pilgrim must do three sacred things when visiting Mt. Shasta: 1. Take in the mountain and pay your respects 2. Warm your soul with a Seven Suns Breakfast Veggie Wrap™ 3. Fill your vessel at the headwaters spring Honestly, #3 is kinda optional... personally, I'd skip it and just go back for seconds at Seven Suns. True story: Recreational hiker John Muir once visited Mount Shasta and famously proclaimed, "It's a'ight. Could really use a good breakfast burrito joint tho." The Vortex heard his prayer, and that's how the town ended up with the Seven Suns Breakfast Veggie Wrap.
Extremely welcoming staff. You can feel it as you walk in. They serve with respect and greet you from their hearts. I had the veggie wrap (lunch) and it was amazingly delicious. Their chai latte is one of the best, I ever had! Absolutely coming back to this place!
I am from Mount Shasta and I always make a point to come back here multiple times when I am in town. The breakfast burrito is special and they have excellent coffee. They kept the tradition of the old Has Beans and made it much better. I know the family, as I grew up with their kids, and they are some of the hardest working people I have ever met in my life. Their effort shines through in the quality of service, attention to detail, and friendly smiles behind the counter. Stop by and get an authentic Mount Shasta experience! Highly highly recommended!
Everything was amazing about this place. I had just finished hiking Mt. Shasta and was starving. I saw that they served breakfast and coffee and had to go. I ended up getting a breakfast burrito with bacon and to drink I ordered a vanilla Italian cream soda. Both were amazing. Oh! And try the chocolate cake!! I saw that they have vegan desserts like cookies and bars. I didn't try them, maybe next time. There is seating inside and outside you just have to walk around and look while you wait for your food.
After visiting the grandkids and friends, we set out at the crack of dawn, or rather, 4:30 am, to head home. At such an ungodly hour, we were on a mission to find a coffee shop that could serve up more than just caffeine but also a decent breakfast. Our search was bleak until we stumbled upon this charming espresso and coffee haven near Mount Shasta. This place, Seven Suns Coffee, is not just a coffee shop; it's a beacon of hope for early risers and caffeine addicts alike! Here, we met Bernice, the barista with a heart of gold and a patience to match. She greeted us with such warmth that you'd think she was running for mayor of Good Vibes Town, reggae tunes serenading our morning. I opted for a hearty meat lovers breakfast burrito, my wife chose an organic bagel with cream cheese, and we shared a still-warm-from-the-oven blueberry scone. The scone, in particular, was a hit; my wife, despite her petite frame, showed the appetite of a burrito-eating champion, leaving me to admire the empty plate with a mix of pride and hunger. In summary, Seven Sons is a must-visit. We're not just giving them a 10; we're adding a few extra stars for Bernice's service, the delicious food, and the ambiance. Two Thumbs Up, Five Shooting Stars, and if we could, we'd give them a galaxy! We'll definitely return, assuming my wife leaves enough burrito for me next time. Remember, if you're ever near Mount Shasta at an unholy hour, Seven Sons is where you want to be.
Coffee on point. Breakfast burritos tasted has you would expect from any breakfast local. Local cafe with a seemingly fan base as our visit was a bit crowded. Several breakfast items available for purchase. The burritos are large enough to share for two. If you are looking for drinks other than coffee, they have tea and smoothies. Inside and outside seating available although it could be a bit tight depending on the crowd. Music added a unique ambience yet it inside could be a bit noisy if you are looking for a relaxing setting. They also sell homemade mugs made from local craftsman. Service is good. They bring out the food orders to you. This cafe has one bathroom and was clean during our visit. Worth a visit for the coffee au lait.
Seven Suns is a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch, coffee and bakery items. The place is so very cute, not large, but homey. It is so very clean, well stocked and the service can't be beat. You will love everything about it. It is vegetarian friendly. It has this pretty brick front and inside has the most wonderful smell of baked goods and coffee. We went for breakfast. We had their breakfast burrito, their breakfast sandwich and their veggie wrap. All of it was perfect. The breakfast burrito was filled with various cheese, hash browns and bacon. All made to order as was the breakfast sandwich which has cheese, scrambled eggs, sausage on a wonderful croissant. You can also have it on bread or a bagel if you want. The veggie wrap has avocado, eggs, cheese, onions and hash browns. There are variations you can get on all of these items as they are made to order. They are delicious. They also have great coffee and a large selection of tea. Their bakery items are fresh and ever so good. They also have a few cute tables outside. Go there.
Don't pass this place by if you are in this area! I wish I have an extra stomach and calorie budget to try all the food there. In any event, I got Lavender latte along with breakfast sandwich. My sister got the Burrito bowl. The latte is smooth and the food are fresh. I wish the breakfast sandwich could be more melty like I have seen other's reviews. Still it was simply delicious. This place is also warmly welcome by locals and friendly visitors. You can sip your coffee and enjoy conversations with others. Come and enjoy! Oh their ranger cookie is solid and my nephew loves the banana bread :)
Great little coffee and breakfast stop. We went on labor day and luckily they were open. But it was crowded, of course. I had a egg, cheese, hashbrown and sausage bagel sandwich and it was delicious!!! They had indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. They have teas, pastries and vegan options too. Really pretty and delicious place. Happy we found this little gem.
Good place to grab coffee and a quick breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised the drip coffee had proper flavor, however the breakfast burrito was crying out for salt and pepper to be mixed in with the eggs and hash browns. The burrito was plenty big given the price.
Got breakfast here a couple times, good breakfast burritos but nothing to write home about. Coffee is good, would drink again. They also have an available water dispenser to guests, which is nice because I hate having to ask for water. Check it out and support local Mount Shasta business instead of going to Starbucks.
This place was recommended by a local for quick savory breakfast when the Theory coffee down the street was sold out of all savory items. The food here was abysmal. None of us would recommend it. I got the servers go-to recommendation, which was a breakfast sandwich (hash brown, eggs, cheese, bacon, croissant). It was super bland, and greasy. Looked like a heart attack on a plate. Eggs were terrible, cheese is the fake super processed orangey cheddar that that isn’t even real cheese. The hash browns were those frozen matchstick hash browns, that were mostly burned to a crisp and bland. The salsa that came with it was also bland, and didn’t help much. My husband got the version with avocado which made his slightly more palatable. Especially at 13$ each that was a considerable waste of money. I forced myself to eat half because I was hungry. But the rest went in the trash. My sister in law ordered a side of scrambled eggs with side of rye, ( that’s all they had, since apparently it comes from a carton) which we didn’t know til after we had ordered, or we would’ve gone to elsewhere. My brother in law got the sesame seed bagel with cream cheese, and a lemon bar. The bagel was the best thing any of us got, since you can’t really mess that up. The lemon bar was decent, but he would’ve wanted it to be more lemony and less sweet. My coffee - a plain unflavored latte, was drinkable but bitter. It was better than diner drip, but nothing I would recommend. The layout was crowded, our table was next to the bathroom, and every time someone opened the door we got a whiff of that smell. And the tables were sticky, they need to clean a more frequently. I will say the breakfast burritos that we saw others order, looked better, and they did seem to have a decent selection of loose leaf teas. But I wouldn’t want to take the chance to come back. I honestly don’t understand how this place was so crowded.
