As a local to the area I’m ashamed I haven’t ate here sooner. Decent sized ribeye steak that wasn’t overly priced. Will definitely comeback in the future.

What a lovely gem of a restaurant!! My husband loved his hamburger and fries. We had gold nugget bread with corn, cilantro, jalapeno and parmesan and then I had a delicious curry bowl! Great chef and the waitress had a great personality. I wish I lived closer.

The white mac & cheese was very good, The peanut butter chocolate cake is definitely share size. Its good and very rich. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed our visit. Prices were reasonable and parking was very easy to find.

Two of us had dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by this venue. The ambiance is nice with a fireplace and candles. Our server was very cheerful. The menu had enough diversity to stand out from other restaurants in Murphys. The quality of the food was excellent and the food came out in a timely manner. We had the gold nugget bread which is about as good a cheese bread appetizer as we have ever had the chicken curry soup was superb with excellent seasonal ingredients highly recommended. The capris salad was delicious fresh and unusual. Really good. The fried chicken was also very good. The dessert menu looked ok but we were too full. Dinner for two was about $80.

2024 Alchemy restaurant is still my favorite place to go for dinner. I love the friendly atmosphere, and their dinner menu is the best. We order the Rib Eye, the Calamari, and the Beet Salad. It was enough food for me and my beastie to share. 2019 Alchemy restaurant is a really nice place to dine. It's location is very appealing, and they even have a kid's menu. Their service is prompt and courteous, plus the food is delicious. Surprisingly, my girls absolutely loved the calamari and the brussel sprouts.

Food was good as usual. Calamari is lighter than most places and they always have good beers on draft. We usually come in for lunch add dinner is a bit pricier. I ordered the beef short ribs but would order the chicken dish next time.

We came in close to when their lunch hours were closing but we were warmly greeted and welcomed. We were encouraged to try the meatloaf and I have zero regrets. Hands down the best meatloaf I have ever had and I don’t even like meatloaf. The apple walnut bread dessert was also yummy. 🐸💜

We stopped by to refuel between wine tastings and got light bite to eat. Both the bread and the minestrone soup were delicious. Our server was prompt, attentive, and had a great sense of humour. We will definitely stop here again whem we next visit Murphy's

My husband and I went on a Sunday evening, it was very busy; There were only two waitresses to handle all the tables, bar tending, busing tables, hosting, etc While one gal was clearly stressed out, our waitress Niana handled it in a calm, collected way. From our table I could hear one of the chefs yelling at the waitresses, not sure if he was the one who was getting orders wrong. We could tell it was an off night for a great place we’d like to go back to. We tried the polenta, ribeye, and beet salad. Thank You Niana for making our experience as good as possible amidst the chaos!

My family and I ate here while staying in Murphys. We were so impressed with the food and service. The fish tacos were delicious! My daughter’s steak was cooked perfectly with an herb butter that was out of this world. The short ribs were excellent too. Our waitress was friendly and thoughtful, without being overbearing. We had a wonderful evening here and will definitely return the next time we’re in town.

Perfect atmosphere and the service was great. I sat at the bar and Beverly was there for every customer. They have some great beers on tap too. I had the fried cauliflower and fish tacos and they were delicious! My hats off to the chefs. I recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing fresh food.

My wife and I shared their golden bread and fish and chips. It was delicious and more than enough for the both of us. Great, friendly service, and wonderful atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love the shirt ribs served with mash potatoes and veggies. I would definitely order it again. My friends order the curried Thai bowl over steamed rice. It was fragrant fresh and the gravy was absolutely delicious. One of them had it with the chicken and the other one with the tofu and they were both very pleased.

I had the lamb special, and you got 2 small lamb chops that were too rare. The Chocolat stout was delicious, and the bread pudding was yummy. My wife's steak was overcooked for medium. Our waiter was very good, he was super nice.

The food came too cold. We constantly had to look for the server and we had way too many empty plates on the table all the time. I wish tables were more cozy and private. For Murphy's not bad but overpriced.

Very cool, small, vintage spot serving modern American foods with indoor and outdoor seating and a kids menu. The service was also spot on and very friendly. The waitress we had was extremely nice and super patient with my kids, and even used simple code instead of saying the "D" word (that's dessert for you nonparents). She even was kind enough to bring us some ice in a bag for my son, who scrapped his face from a fall on the walk to the restaurant. We started with the nachos from the appraiser menu, which were rockin. The fire roasted salsa gave it an awesome smokey flavor. There are a couple of interesting menu items, like the seafood Pad Thai, which I had. It is not as spicy as I expected, which was not a bad thing. It was well balanced, as you would expect from authentic, classic Thai food. Honestly, if someone had brought me this dish without telling me where it came from, I would have expected it to come from a regular Thai restaurant, or a Thai family kitchen. My wife got the Chef's Burger, which was cooked perfectly and she said was seasoned well. For dessert, I had the cappuccino mousse and my wife had the coconut cream "pie". This is now my new favorite dessert spot in the area. I am not kidding. We stopped here because we went to Mercer Caverns. We live an hour away in Tuolumne County. I would make that drive just for the desserts any time. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Great food.. food alone would be 4 stars but the service and waiting while already seated was horrific. Be advised: the meatloaf was the worst dish. It was very very dry and crumbled into hard to eat crumbs and there was no demi glaze. The cappuccino mouse had no coffee or coffee flavor infused in the mouse. The whip cream was really watery. The bread pudding got great reviews from the table. I liked the burger and it was cooked perfectly. .. I wish the bread was a little harder and not the consistency of a diaper. It was impossible to hold the sandwich because of untoasted bread. I would recommend the Lucky Penny across the street but they weren't open on Tuesday.

There are few restaurant in Murphys so we thought that good reviews would lead to a good experience, we were wrong. $40 for a fish dish, $20 for a salad, $28 for a polenta… what is this place? The portions are ridiculous and the price prevents any appetizer on top of a main dish (or you’ll be at $100+ for 2) The food isn’t even very tasty, good but not extraordinary. Service was good and fast, but offering a salad without bread is still weird to me. Or having uncomfortable outdoor chairs? Why? Dessert was bigger portion than a main dish, but quite horrible, it looked like they shopped all the worst ingredients at Safeway and put it together, overly sweet, no taste.
