Overall the place has a great atmosphere and staff are friendly. The bathrooms and cleanliness is well maintained. I ordered the coconut bowl which was pretty good but not worth the price in my opinion. They do have many dairy free options though which is great! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

I was excited about grabbing an after-workout protein bowl, but since the prices online were higher than in-store, I decided to head in. And, you should just not do that. The service is the opposite of warm and inviting. Gen Z stare on full display. Luckily, the food tasted great. But, it's the sole reason behind the 3⭐⭐⭐. Pretty sugary, yet the ingredients appeared fresh. But this string thing that appeared toward the end of my meal and it does not appear organic.

The mangos were slimy and disgusting. If the fruit isn’t fresh just leave it out. Don’t put in spoiled fruit just because the customer asked for that specific fruit but you knew it was no good

One employee was rude when I asked for a rag so I could clean a dirty table that I wanted to sit at. She said "you have to wait, we're busy" When also asked what a sign said because we couldn't read the handwriting, she said," well I'm not in front, how would I know?" Then I made the mistake of going to the restroom. The pictures I posted do not even do justice to the filth I experienced. It appeared not to have been cleaned in weeks. Bodily fluids stained the floor amongst other atrocities. They should be reported to the health dept.

I visited this location for the first time yesterday and was unfortunately very disappointed with my experience. The customer service provided by the three employees working at the time was unprofessional and discourteous. When I entered the store, none of the employees acknowledged me. I stood at the register for approximately five minutes before having to say hello myself to receive assistance. Even then, the interaction felt dismissive, and I was met with an attitude that made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them. Additionally, I waited about 30 minutes for my order while the employees appeared to be socializing and joking with one another rather than focusing on customer service. This significantly impacted the overall experience. As someone who has previously worked in the food service industry, I understand the importance of professionalism and treating customers respectfully. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect those standards. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so improvements can be made.

I notice if you don’t give a tip they let you sit and wait until they make your order after they do everyone else’s order! Which is completely bad service. This is the second time this happened. Makes me not even want to go to the Nanuet location. Hire better servers, or talk about customer service skills. The service is very poor if you don’t give a tip. We are already paying, why do we have to leave a tip?

Absolutely disgusting I came for my lunch break eating peacefully alone, noticed halfway that roaches were also having a nice time eating besides me. This isn’t the first time I’ve delt with roaches crawling around me while eating here, it’s every time I come in here and I finally decided to speak up because I’m actually disturbed. An health inspector needs to come in here asap! This is a disgusting and disappointing. workers should prioritize cleaning instead of being on their phones.

The service has gone down hill, my bowls are barely filled now, i waited 30 minutes for a bowl while there barely anyone in the establishment and i see the workers like very laid back , ive been coming constantly and these new workers i see are not it , then they ask me if i was waiting on something like what!?! Waited to be asked if i was waiting on something. No longer coming in after my recent visits.

Açaí bowl is not filled, and barely any banana. Order wasn’t taken properly, but the girls fixed it for me. For the price of these bowls they should at least be filled and made properly. Update: Tried a second time, never again. Save your money and go to another location. $1 for cacao nibs and they’re stingy as hell

This is without a doubt the worst Playa Bowls I have ever been to, and quite possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. The staff here are rude, careless, and act like they couldn’t care less if you’re a paying customer. It’s slow, it’s unprofessional, and it’s downright disrespectful. This place can go to hell for all I care. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration — don’t come here. They clearly don’t value their customers or their own reputation.

I’ve been a customer here for a long time, both in person and through many delivery orders, and I’ve usually been very happy. Unfortunately, I’ve had two really disappointing experiences recently. The first time, my order arrived with a piece of hair in it. I had to throw the whole thing away. When I called to let them know, they didn’t believe it without a picture — which I didn’t have, since I didn’t think I needed to photograph such things and try to prove something that they should be more interested to be on top of. The second time, I placed an order through their own app with a promised delivery time. It arrived almost two hours late, completely melted, spilled, and not edible. I had called before it arrived to ask about the delay, but was told they didn’t know where my order was. When it finally came, I called again and explained what happened and was told the only person I can talk to is the manager and she would call me back the next day to discuss it since she was not in that day. I gave my number and followed up every day for a week, only to be told each time that the manager “would be in tomorrow.” A week later, I was told they couldn’t do anything about it. No refund, no discount, NOTHING was offered. It’s disappointing because I’ve enjoyed this place for a long time, but the lack of accountability and customer service in these situations really changed my experience.

As a playa bowls fan I was so excited to try the new Rockland location but this was very disappointing. Looks like someone's left overs, not fully blended, paid extra for Nutella and its BARELY on there. :-( just a bad bowl overall. A bad representation of a great chain.
