Alright, pizza lovers and pasta fiends, listen up! I just had an absolute feast at Filippi's Pizza Grotto that's left me in a state of pure, unadulterated food bliss. We went for the combination plates and let me tell you, it was the best decision we made all week. Getting to dig into generous portions of lasagna and meat ravioli, and my wife getting lasagna and spaghetti all on one plate was like hitting the Italian food jackpot. Each one was perfectly cooked and bursting with that classic, comforting flavor you crave. But the real showstopper? The meatball. Oh my goodness, the meatball! Forget everything you thought you knew about meatballs. This wasn't just big; it was bigger than a softball! I'm talking about a glorious, perfectly seasoned sphere of meaty perfection that could probably have its own zip code. It was a true masterpiece and the highlight of an already incredible meal. We absolutely loved every single bite and left with happy hearts and very full bellies. We'll definitely be returning to Filippi's. If you're looking for fantastic Italian comfort food, generous portions, and a meatball that will blow your mind, this is the place!

Fantastic Italian place at a great price. Lots of cheese on the pizzas, plenty of sauce on the lasagna. The focaccia bread is soft with tons of flavor, you don't really need to add the provided butter. Give them a shot if you're curious at all, the service was also very friendly!

GREAT tasting pizza! Definitely tastes unique compared to your typical dominos , Pizza Hut, little Cesars etc. Doesn’t compare honestly. The chicken Alfredo (dinner) comes with garlic bread and soup or salad for choice. The pasta comes with mushrooms and artichokes and it is super creamy, really great flavor. The wings are pretty good, average. The antipasto salad is really yummy and fresh tasting I highly recommend it! The soup minestrone I believe it is called is also good as well.

Pasta portions are massive and the meatball is like 1 pound. The sausage is an extra large link. So you will have leftovers. Had an 11-inch sausage pizza. Not crazy about it. Crust was too crispy for my liking. Toppings were OK. Service was good. It's a casual Italian food joint. Come starving and have breakfast set fir tomorrow.

We went for lunch & the service was great. Very attentive. Our waitress gave us recommendations- saying they are best known for their pizza. 3 of shared 2 of the 8" pizzas and it was plenty. We thought about ordering thin crust- but didnt need to- because their original is very crispy! The red sauce is a bit a sweet. We were also served with warm bread and butter before the meal.

This place serves decent wings and pizza, with some good specials. This place isn’t overly fancy, but it gets the job done. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but I hope that’s not always the case.

We visited on a Sunday for lunch. They didn't have a parking lot, but only street parking. Like most places in Napa, you just find somewhere nearby to park and you walk to your destination. They have a few dining areas inside and a few tables outside in front of the restaurant. The day we were there, they only had 2 servers for the whole restaurant, so they really weren't seating outside. The servers were really hustling trying to get to all the customers as quickly as possible. We were not in a hurry, so it was fine. They were really busy. We ordered the Italian Feast for 2. It was $30.95 plus tax for an 11 inch cheese pizza, 2 salads, Italian bread, lasagna, and spaghetti. If you are feeding kids or people with smaller appetites, you could probably feed 3-4 people with this meal. The salads were fresh and the pizza and pastas were cooked nicely. I was expecting a crusty bread for the Italian bread, but it had more of a roll texture. The decor included wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and red-checkered table cloths.

First off, let me start by saying the food was excellent, authentic Italian American cuisine with lots of bold flavors. The menu has a wide selection and for the most part is reasonably priced. Service however was a little slow, our server only checked on us once or twice and never refilled our drinks, if it was a packed day I'd understand but it was relatively calm inside. The food also took a while to come out, around 30 minutes, but once I tasted it I didn't care how long it had taken any more. Overall I'd say this is a great place to eat if you like Italian food, I just hope the service is better most days.

It’s been awhile since coming here. We happened to be in Napa around 7:45 pm and thought it would be cool to have dinner there. Kind of bummed that the service is sub-par. Received our bread and you would think a bread plate for each of us would have been brought out, but no. We had to ask. Food was good and then we were asked if my husband wanted a refill of his Sprite and my son a hard cider. Said yes. Waited, waited, waited….nothing. We asked for a box for our pizza and she brought it out and then she said oh I forgot your cider, do you want it? We said no since we were leaving. Disappointed.

Thought it was Italian food spot, but in fact it’s American food. The garlic knots are really tasty. Pizza has a nice dough as well. However the spaghetti is terrible lmao. Noodles are not dried enough, the watery noodles ruin the sauce for sure. Sausages are also plain.

Service was good. Portions were AMAZING. Price was extremely cheap! However, food was decent at best. The Lasagna was multiple pasta on top of each other with a pile of tomato on top, the pizza was also a pile of ingredients on the pizza, which felt lacklustre. Sandwich was something I could make at Walmart’s! Overall, the service from the staff made the experience better and I was paying really cheap prices so not too bad!

Really disappointed with the service. Pizza itself was good. Came in around 7 and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Ordered 1 large pizza to go. Sat at the table RIGHT in front of the register. Waited just over an hour and finally decided to go up the register again and ask how much longer it will be. Employee called over to kitchen and they said that it still wasnt ready. I was wondering if something broke because there were only 3 or 4 other parties in the restaurant. A few minutes later i see them talking and then an employee in the kitchen grabs a pizza box from on top of the oven. Apparently my pizza had been ready for awhile they just didnt tell me. I asked if i could get a couple extra ranch since i had to wait so long. They said yes as long as i paid for it 😂 Employees at register were too busy vaping in the bathroom (not even their own it was from a friend who came into the restaurant) to even look up and see me right in front of them and think hmm they’ve been here for a while now. There was no apology or anything just oh here it is. Couldn’t even throw in extra ranch 😂

Terrible experience. This place was awful from start to finish. The waitress didn’t listen at all — I had to remind her three times about my drink, and if I hadn’t kept reminding her, I’m pretty sure she never would’ve brought it. On top of that, she was standing right next to our table sniffling over our food, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. The food was just as bad. The white sauce tasted like spoiled goat milk, absolutely disgusting. The pizza was served cold, with no care or effort whatsoever. Overall, horrible service and horrible food. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to waste your time! We walked in on a Saturday at 6:25pm and was told there was a 30-40 minute wait. We said that was fine and they took our phone number. We returned an hour later, only to be notified that they "tried to call us" but their phone system was down. They directed us to a bar table, which we said we were fine with when we first arrived. After not a single waiter walking by the table for 5 minutes, we attempted to order at the bar. The bartender dismissed us, saying they'd come to the table. 10 minutes later and still no service. We wound up going across the street to a place that actually likes to do business with paying customers. If you have nothing better to do than waste your time and don't actually want to eat anything, this is the place for you!
