We were very surprise at how good and affordable this place is. Great value! Always hard in Napa but this place has a good selection of food, we had a couple of appetizers. The calamari were actually excellent, nice and freshly fried.

Very nice place! Special thanks to the restaurant administrator. She helped me choose a cozy table and was very polite. The wine is good and there is a large selection. The food is beyond praise. The meat is tender and very tasty. I will definitely come back again!

My first ChatGPT recommendation and I was not disappointed. It has an upscale vibe and service at very reasonable prices. Absolutely would be a consistent dinner spot for us if we lived closer. Our kids got a tiny bit obnoxious waiting for food, but the staff never said anything or gave us bad looks while picking up things they dropped. They did check in often and made sure the kids had what they needed. They also have "normal" well cooked and salted french fries, which for one of ours is the only thing that matters. I think the kids menu could use more rest time, as it came out hot, which I dont know how you ding a place for hot food. Just let it cool down at the table.

We had family lunch with my 1 year old son and it was such a pleasant experience! Food was delicious, very high quality and very fresh! All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and we got special attention since we were with a toddler! We enjoyed the atmosphere: lots of light (floor windows, corner restaurant), nice people watching, pleasant music, TVs with right channels for my husband and really good beer! We will definitely come back!

I’ve frequented Norman Rose for years as a local. I hadn’t been there in a while but we decided to get some food while we were downtown on St. Patrick’s Day. I’m super glad we did, because it was great! I always enjoy the food, but never felt compelled to write a review until now because the service was EXCELLENT! Bo was our server and he was attentive, made sure we were happy and made our experience fun! We will definitely be back more often thanks to him and our awesome meal! Thanks, Bo!

I am very rarely write a review, but this place is just incredible! If you are looking for a stylish restaurant with incredibly welcoming stuff and atmosphere, supper attentive service, and absolutely delicious food - this place is must have for your list! I have been there several times already and each and every time everything deserves top stars! Highly recommend!!! Norman Rose Tavern is one of our regular stomping grounds because the food is consistently good and the environment is comfortable. My husband and I went there for a late lunch and sat in a booth by the window to people watch the passersby on the street. We enjoyed our server’s mellow nature and smooth service. I was thirsty from being out in the sun and both server and busser kept my iced tea and water full. Seriously, I must have a hollow leg to store it all! Here’s what we enjoyed: The Wedge Salad is big enough to share. Crispy, fresh, and tasty! My husband was craving a BLT. It was not on the menu but they had all of the ingredients so the server made it possible. He thought it was perfect. The bread and bacon were proportioned evenly making each bite delicious. Their lamb burger is always good. I love how the cheese and greens dance with the flavors of the lamb. What blew us away this time though were the Sweet Potato Fries. Seriously? It is a mystery what made them stand out for us?? They were the best we have ever had. My husband does not like sweet potato fries and he thought they were great. They were cooked to perfection. Nice crusty outside and a tasty inside. We will be back Norman Rose!

Ahhhhh HEAVEN. My husband partook in the juicy and delicious House Roasted French dip. He's on a search for the BEST French dip ever. He kept saying. Omg...top 2 I've ever had. Emerson, the bartender was friendly and jovial. The staff was warm and happy and the patrons were chill and amiable. SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMEND Excellent experience, food and time. We had an excellent lunner today. My wife had the salmon off the menu and I had the pork tenderloin off the board. Both were very good. We split the bread pudding and took the carrot cake home for tomorrow .

Awesome food, and great service! We ordered the beer battered fish and chips, and the burger with bacon and grilled onions. Both were perfect. The burger was so hot, that the juice burned my hand when I bit into it. Dining inside is available with plenty of distance between tables. Or, you can choose patio or sidewalk if you prefer to be outside. Masks must be worn unless you're sitting at your table. If you go, ask for Nicole. She's awesome! 👌

Went here with a reservation for 8 people. We were in a back room and it was great. The staff was kind and accommodating to my mom’s celiac disease which I always appreciate!

My husband, daughter and I came here in October 2025. We also brought our daughter's little dog. The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit outdoors on their patio. It's very cozy as well as being a great people watching place. We were able to see one of the locals walking one of his baby cows down the street. The service was great! Our server even asked us if we would like to order some chopped chicken for the dog. So we did! The food was quite good. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. I would highly recommend dining here. We will definitely be coming back!

My husband, daughter and I came here in October 2025. We also brought our daughter's little dog. The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit outdoors on their patio. It's very cozy as well as being a great people watching place. We were able to see one of the locals walking one of his baby cows down the street. The service was great! Nice happy hour and good bartenders. Only gave 4 stars because the nachos were not great but everything else was excellent. Recommend the disco fries and anything on tap.

Like we waited for what seemed to be forever just to have our order taken. The employees were very nice and cheerful and even apologized for the long wait. The atmosphere was good. We sat outside and it was a little loud with a large party in the middle of the patio but it was fine. They do allow dogs, which was not a problem for me at all but some may not like that. The food was delicious. I can’t rave enough about it. After the wait I was hungry too! In all I would recommend going but maybe on a slow day or during non-peak hours.

The service was good. The food was kind of bland. Got the baja tacos which were very dry and bland.

Ordered a fish sandwich. And that's ALL you get. On a big white plate, a bun and a piece of fish. No coleslaw, no fries, no chips. Very unimpressed.

Pretty good meal overall for adults and kids.…. But if seeking something vegetarian, don’t order the black bean and barley veggie burger. I usually like creative veggie burgers, but this was literally just beans and barley smashed into a huge patty. No seasoning or additions to the patty itself that I could see or taste. Definitely don’t come here if you want good food or good service. The food was just so average and overpriced. The steak we ordered wasn’t even cooked in the middle. The service was just all over the place.

The restaurant is nice inside but the food was just bad. I got the short rib and risotto. Both the meat and the side were too salty to consume. Someone else ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, which also was unsatisfying.

Came for some After Wine Dinner and a Sweet Treat! NOPE! SO... My beautifuler better half ordered the Molten Cake and Ice Cream on Top, a side of fries (truffle) and I got Shrimp Alfredo to Pad the Wine. We asked to bring it all as it comes and eat whenever. The server brought us water. Then ice cream. Then fries with a dusting of cold parmesian, Then my fettuccine. Then a cold lava cake with an apology the kitchen was backed up. It was a Wednesday and we were one of 3 tables in the entire restaurant. The food runner handled our food and never saw our server. Never heard the wine or drink specials. They took the dessert off the tab and we left. I wish I was more unsober to maybe not notice how terrible the whole thing was. Sorry.

The food was mediocre at best. Dry and wet tasted like old chicken on the salad the salad was supposed to have grapes and apples. There were maybe six or eight chunks of apple and four grapes cut in half. The citrus vinaigrette on the salad have almost no flavor. Prices are high. The TV was on really loud and then while the Olympics were on random music would come on.

Slow service, paid 30 dollars for Guiness Stew and they gave me a very small portion. Most expensive meal of my trip and I will still be hungry. Update: Ate it and was indeed still hungry. 3 pieces of potato and 2 pieces of carrot with about 0.3~ lb of meat. 30 bucks for that.

The service wasn’t very good, the waiters were a bit rude. My salad came with a weird smell and cold bacon, was a joke- see the picture- two slices of lettuce and an egg, and when I gave it back I wasn’t asked if I wanted anything else instead. The burgers were small and unsatisfactory, and very expensive. A burger that was supposed to be medium came as a well, was returned and came back rare. The Mac and cheese didn’t have taste and was very small. They forgot our fries the first time, and then only brought one of the two the second time. Overall bad experience. The place is very overpriced, would recommend to skip.

We had a reservation and we showed up less than 5 minutes after the time and they gave up our table for someone else. It’s gross how they will willingly give up tables in under 5 minutes without any warning or giving us a call or text. Despite the good food and good vibes I dont recommend based off their blatant disregard to reservation.
