Had a great meal at Go Chin Kao Mun Kai. The fried chicken skin was super crispy and tasty. The khao man gai Thai chicken rice was flavorful and comforting, and the spicy pork bone soup (Tom Saap) was very delicious with a nice sour and spicy kick. Simple food but very satisfying. Will come back again!

Food is great and service is super nice. I will say it’s more tailored for single serving rather than big sharing size for Asian families (we came for dinner). But yummy nonetheless

Tried both the classic khao man gai and the grilled chicken over rice, I loved them! The rice was super fragrant, the chicken was tender and tasty, and the dipping sauce was really good. The place has a nice, friendly vibe and the service was great. Definitely recommend this spot.

This is my favorite chicken rice spot! I’m impressed every time I come here. The food is delicious, the quality is top-notch, and the staff are so friendly. Sorry I didn’t take any photos — I was too busy enjoying the food. I can’t wait to come back again! :)

I ate at Go Chin Khao Man Gai and really enjoyed the experience. The food felt very authentic, simple, honest, and full of flavor. There isn’t a large menu, which actually adds to the charm and makes it feel focused and true to what they do best. 🫠 I ordered the fried chicken, and it was delicious: well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and very satisfying. Everything felt straightforward and comforting, without unnecessary extras. It’s also worth noting that there is seating inside, it’s not just the small space you see from the street, which makes it a nice option whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or sitting down to eat. Overall, a great spot for tasty, authentic food done simply and well.🤩

The classic khao man gai is delicious. I’d eat this everyday if I could. I especially love the dipping sauce that comes with it. My husband got the grilled chicken version and his sauce was even better. Highly recommend 10/10

I came here for one reason and one reason only, the Khao Soi Gai. It was a $19 but a price I am willing to pay for my favorite dish of all time. I first tried it at a restaurant called Thai Samurai but, they since removed the dish. I saw that this restaurant serves it and was gleefully making my way there. Once there, I ordered the dish with an "unfiltered ginger ale," which was delightful. When the dish arrived, it was a happy surprise that they made it traditional, meaning for the meat, I received a full chicken wing. Normally restaurants just gives you white chicken. There are times when I order this dish it is sour and not sweet and spicy, this dish was made with love and perfection. I left the restaurant in sadness of not knowing when I will have that dish again. So thank you all who work there.

this is my fav spot! The chicken rice here is absolutely delicious tender, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their signature sauce. The fried chicken is super crispy yet juicy inside, and the portions are generous for the price.

This has to be the first food review where I literally couldn’t take a photo—because, well… I ate it all before I even thought about my phone. Sorry fam, no food pics here. Go stalk someone else’s review for that. The chicken rice? Straight-up legendary. Steamed chicken so soft and juicy it melts, fried chicken that’s crunchy perfection, and the soup hits different—pure comfort in a bowl. And the sauce? Bro, it slaps. No long essay needed. Just know it’s that good. Try it yourself before I clean out the place again.🤣🫣😱

Best place for authentic Khao Man Gai in NYC. The food was amazing but service was even better! They treated us like family and we’ve never had a better experience at a Thai restaurant! This should be one of your stops, highly recommended!!

This place is amazing!! Do not miss it!! My wife and I had the Khao Man Gai Tod and Crispy Shrimp Dumplings. Both were simple and flavorful! The staff was helpful and friendly. Again, if you’re thinking of going here - do it!! You won’t be disappointed.

I’m so happy I stumbled into this thai restaurant! It’s so simple and unique. The grilled chicken and fried pork belly with ginger rice was 10/10 for me. The flavors were there and paired with the tamarind sauce, I truly enjoyed every bite. The soup that comes with the meal is subtle and pairs well with the strong tamarind sauce taste. It is a small and authentic hole in the wall restaurant in Kips Bay. The servers are very caring and make sure you are comfortable. Will definitely be coming here again ☺️

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants, and while Hainanese Chicken Rice is often associated with Thailand, it’s truly a beloved staple across the entire Southeast Asian region. In my opinion, a great plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice relies on the perfect harmony of three key elements: the rice, the chicken, and the sauce. The chicken-fat-infused rice is the soul—fragrant, rich, and perfectly textured. The poached chicken is the backbone—tender, juicy, and cooked just right. And the sauce? That’s where the personality comes in—bold, flavorful, and absolutely essential. This restaurant nails all three. Not only does it capture the authentic flavors, but it also shows great attention to detail, making me feel like I’ve been transported back to Southeast Asia, right here in New York City. Their Thai-style pork rib soup is also a standout—sour, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. The broth is rich and aromatic, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up from the inside out. What’s even more impressive is how reasonably priced everything is. In a city like New York, where good food often comes at a premium, this spot offers exceptional Southeast Asian cuisine at a great value. Whether you’re craving a taste of home or exploring these flavors for the first time, this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit!

🇹🇭 AUTHENTIC THAI STYLE CHICKEN RICE 🍗 Accidentally found this restaurant and glad I stopped in. I used to live in Thailand and this dish is truly authentic. The rice is absolutely delicious on its own and fragrant. The chicken and spicy sauce is amazing. I had it with a side of crispy chicken skin. This place is a gem! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Omg! So happy to find a place that has good chicken rice and to make it better…they have fried chicken skin and tofu! The flavors are there and reminded me of my trip in Thailand. I have ordered from them numerous times and the quality is consistent and the service is amazing! Try

I walked around East village area and found a restaurant that my friend recommended. As a Khao man gai lover, I highly recommend to eat at Go Chin I ordered Khao Man Gai PI-set (combo/Poached chicken & Fried Chicken (Gai Tod) and Grilled Chicken (Gai Yang) & Fried Pork Belly (Moo Tod) they come with ginger rice, sliced cucumbers, cilantro on the top, home made soup and sauce I also ordered Fried Chicken Skin, Shrimp Dumplings and Tom Zabb Pork ribs All the food was flavorful and mouthwatering. The potion was big and good to share with others on the table as I ordered a lot The staffs were very attentive and friendly welcoming Definitely come back next time

I recently checked out this place for their famous khao man gai, and it was amazing! The restaurant is clean and has a great vibe. We tried all the chicken dishes - steamed, fried, grilled, and even pork belly. Each one was super tasty and cooked to perfection. For appetizers, the chicken skin and steamed pork and shrimp wonton were awesome. My personal faves were the wonton and Michigan fried chicken over ginger rice. The best part? The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food is premium . Oh, and the service was great, especially from our server Ariya! Definitely recommend this spot for a casual, delicious meal with friends or family. Can't wait to go back!

We randomly passed by Go Chin Khao Man Gai and was appealed by its high rating on Google review and cozy decor. It’s also not far from where I work so I had it as a quick fix lunch for the past couple days. They serve various drinks with reasonable price and I love their refreshing Roselle. It was overall delicious and we could tell they are homemade with love & passion. Our favorites were the crispy chicken skin and the poached chicken which was super tender. There are 3 styles of Khao Man Gai: poached, grilled and fried. They are all decent with huge portion and one of the best things is you can do a single order of meat with $15 only.

Might be the best Thai chicken rice I've had in the US, and I've been looking for a long time. The sauce is wonderfully complex, very balanced between salt, sweet, spicy, and umami. Chicken (classic) is tender, meaty, and juicy. Portions are generous, service was very kind. Will definitely be back!

The Menu is awesome!! Great selections tasted amazing! Service and the chefs are on point, just A+++! I super enjoyed everything, especially the crispy chicken skins, crispy pork, and oh the housemade coconut jackfruit ice cream...sooo good! Lucky to have this new spot just around the corner.

Seriously one of my favorite dinner spots in all of New York! Flavorful and authentic Thai food as well as a cozy atmosphere. My go-to is their combo Khao Man Gai-Pi set which comes with aromatic ginger rice, cucumber, a chicken bone broth, and 2 meats of your choice. Highly, highly recommend their grilled chicken which almost has a smokey flavor. Also, love their Thai cabbage and shrimp dumplings. Will so be back!
