These are my boys they always look out all the time the best ever hands down
I don't know why all these playas be hating'. my bae and I come here on weekends and we think its da best nyc bagel around.
Everything is great and it has perfect bagels and sandwiches.
Really good cream cheese and lox, bagels are really good!
Never actully been to it but order through seamlesd all the time very great food fast delivery
Awesome place, affordable food and freshly made. Friendly people as well!
Got my Lunch there today. Grilled chicken with Vegetables. Delicious.
Great bagels and coffee. Consistent - fast delivery - nice people.
The breakfast is delicious and everything is fresh and well prepared.
Used to live on this block. Amazing bagels. Miss this place!
Best Bagels/Food and service you can imagine.
Never too long of a line. Good breakfast sandwiches
I went here for breakfast in 2016 mo and i’m still thinking about that bagel.
Everyone else is a hater and you shouldn’t listen to them
Great variety of food & drinks. You can eat in or it outside and you can order in advance. The place is clean and workers are fiendly and the orders does not take long.
I’ve been here several times and I never wait long, I always get tofu cream cheese and it’s delicious! Usually quite happy with the service here.
Bacon egg and cheese is amazing. 1 bagel is as filling as 2 at every bagel shop. The bacon, sausage egg and cheese bagel is enough to cover missing lunch later
Amazing staff, affordable prices, great food. We have been here twice during our trip to NYC
Love this spot. Hidden gem in my opinion. Bagels are phenomenal but also great breakfast burritos.
I've ordered bagels and sandwiches from here for years, and they're always consistent and quick on delivery. Compared to other shops, they're a good value too
My favorite bagel shop. They are quick and their bagels taste amazing. I love their coffee too. Literally crave this place everyday.
Great fresh bagels made in house. Good no nonsense service. I wish I had this place in NC.
I love Bagel Express III - I've been coming here for years. Consistent and delicious egg sandwiches on great bagels. 10/10 recommend.
My wife and I shared many breakfast dates here before we got married. The service is amazing when the women are at the register. They are kind and even call out the cooks if they get something wrong. But watch out when the men are behind the register. They are extremely rude. Give attitude and don't always get the order correct. I understand that it's the end of your shift and you want to go home but that is no excuse to treat customers the way you do before closing the store. The Egg Bagel, Homemade Orange Juice, Western Omelet and Turkey Burgers are by far the best I've ever had.
The cooks here are quick and make quality, inexpensive food. This is a busy spot in the morning since many people who live in the neighborhood go here. My favorite dish is the western omelette platter, a ton of good food for $5. Great spot to get a casual bagel / omelette when you are hungover.
I am a tough critic when it comes to bagels (born and raised new yorker)... and in my opinion this is the best bagel in NYC. I go with the classic order of everything bagel toasted with cream cheese- and it is amazing! Fast service, not cheap, but truly amazing bagel.
This is my go to hangover breakfast. Great bacon egg and cheese for a reasonable price (4.50 at time of posting). EDIT: Temporarily demoted to 3 stars. I love Bagel Express 3's bacon egg and cheese. However, the past 3 times I've been the bacon has tasted odd. Like it's freezer burned or cooked in weird oil or something like that. Until the bacon game is back, I can't recommend their BEC. EDIT2: bacon is back on point! Go get the BEC!
Really fresh bagels with all types of creams cheese including non dairy. Large assortment of breakfast foods prepared fresh, and won't break your pockets. Great place.
Don't be scared of a long line the service is always lightning fast. The bagels are good and meet discerning New York standards. If this is the closest bagel to you you won't be disappointed! Coffee is a big step up from diner coffee, but not gourmet - in other words you can get a large for under $3. Bagels are also very cheap, but toppings are not so you'll still probably pay about $10 for breakfast and coffee unless you're a plain bagel dude.
Friendly neighborhood café. Good service and food. Good value.
My favorite bagel shop. Great workers and great food! They work super fast, and do a wonderful job!
Love this place, very fairly priced, always great food.
Had the whitefish salad on an onion bagel and wow it was so good! Nice amount of whitefish and bagel was so soft and fresh. Can't wait to come back and try something else. The carrot cake was also so yummy. Service was super friendly and fast
I'm in school at Baruch, and live three blocks away, I'm a mature student who loves a bagel, and a well-made egg sandwich. One good thing about this place, little orange tables on 25th Street Baruch alley. They are rickety so careful when you sit. I love their poppy seed bagels above all others, toasted please not too much Butter & Black Coffee🤗
I had a delightful experience at Bagel Express, where both the prices and the freshness of their offerings impressed me. The bagels are made fresh daily, providing that perfect chewy texture and warm, inviting aroma. On one occasion, my bagel had a bit less cream cheese than I'd prefer, but this minor hiccup didn’t detract from the overall quality. The staff was exceptionally friendly, greeting each customer with a smile and making the atmosphere welcoming. It's a spot I'd recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying bagel in a friendly setting.
This place is so underrated. It doesn’t look like much from the outside (or inside) but their bagels are FANTASTIC and CHEAP. Luckily, I live around the corner so I come all the time. This is an everything with egg, ham, and chipotle cream cheese. The chipotle cc is actually spicy which I love! They have good cc flavor options.
Fresh bagels and a large assortment of toppings. Mostly a to go spot with very limited seating.
Excellent sandwich had a ruben reasonable price.
When I attended Baruch, I used to grab a cheap bagel almost every day. There's really not much fancy to be said...BEIII are some of New York's best. They lose a star due to their sometimes impatient cashiers and occasional incorrect orders. But if you're nearby and need a bite, this is your place.
Decent prices for typical deli style food. Food is usually prepared in a timely manner. More seating inside would be good.
Average bagel cafe. Fast service, local neighborhood feel. Ten small seating tables
It is exactly what it is supposed to be, a place to get a quick breakfast, simple sandwich, pastries, and coffee. The staff are professional and courteous, and the cooks give you what you request. There is even some seating!
It is OK. The staff is nice. Their tables are a little shaky and they don’t have WiFi. Even though it says they close at 5:45 PM, they ask you to leave by 5:00 PM.
Great location if you are a student or working in the area. Friendly staff but may wish to think twice before consuming food from the grill.
If you want a lox bagel, go to Bagels & Schmear a few blocks away instead. It costs like $15 here for just little bits of lox in cream cheese (basically just a lox spread) while Bagels & Schmear gives large slices of fresh lox for the same price
They have REAL bagels and great selection of breakfast sandwiches however the lines are always long and hence the staff extremely overwhelmed by the customers. Advice: Know what you want and be quick to order or they will move on to the customer behind you!
Terrible service of the line cooks. They really shouldn’t talk to people. Would be way better if people just order at the register. I went once had unpleasant experience with one of them. Thought of giving it second chance today, same thing with another one. I don’t need you to be “smarty pants” when I am asking a question. I need you to be polite and help. Also joking about the customers in Spanish (and I do understand it). And not wearing masks.
Giving three stars because prices are lower than the typical breakfast spot in Manhattan (but then you get what you pay for). Then again, it’s not a dinner or restaurant but rather a quick and fast place. Sadly the waffles I ordered were the frozen ones (Eggo’s) you buy at any supermarket. I could have bought them and done them myself. The sausages are also the frozen type you heat up in the microwave or over a griddle. Pancakes were ok. This place is certainly good with their bagels but should improve their quality in other platters. Buying frozen food and then selling isn’t quite the best strategy. It only takes buying a few waffle makers and using the same batter used for pancakes to give a decent waffle.
The brag isn't so much live up to . The bagels are left out in the open for hours , I normally come very early in the morning hoping to get a fresh bagel. However when I order a none toasted bagel . I get a almost hard and tuff bagle I shouldn't have to fight to bite through and rip my bagle . Maybe they're not freshly made. Maybe the bagle need to be stored properly .. The service isn't bad . The cooks are fast and the cashier guy is respectful. I just hoped for a more quality bagle being that the store has been somewhat praised as a great bagle spot. The place seems clean to standards , however I'm not a fan of the seating area.. If this continues I'll just order from Starbucks same price better quality.
- Very expensive (typical for manhattan) - The plain bagels specifically are quite soft and thicker then the cheap bagels delis tend to use - If you get the more “extravagant bagels and toppings” just know your not spending any less then 12 dollars (after tax, if you’re lucky) - Service is quick before 11am and after 2pm because that is usually when the college it is connected to starts to have it’s rush hour of students coming for breakfast/lunch food - Workers are usually always cheerful and friendly
Been twice and they have screwed up my order twice. They really need a better system behind the counter, it is chaos.
The sandwiches are good, but I don't think I'll ever be coming back here after seeing a HUGE water bug crawl on their floors.
I dont understand why they downright refuse to follow my condiment instructions. There is literally a 70% chance if I request salt, pepper, ketchup on my breakfast sandwich, they will not put it on. Any legitimate self-respecting NYC deli knows how crucial salt pepper ketchup is to a breakfast sandwich and they just don't seem to get it. Just disappointed.
When my delivery arrived, the waffles were absolutely soggy. And yes, I've had breakfast food delivered from other places, and the waffles were never soggy. After I ate more than half my meal, I found a piece of hair at the bottom of the container. Couldn't finish the rest of my food. What a waste of money!! This after waiting almost 1 hour for my food to arrive.
The place has decent options and the food is okay. The problem is the employees's attitude. One particular gentleman when expressing my displeasure in service he told me to go play the lotto. After that he mishandled my food by throwing it down on the counter and breaking the container spilling my food. Service alone this place should get a 1 star but the food is just okay.
Prices are the same as everywhere else (if not more now) so it’s not a good deal. Too expensive for the service.
a few months ago, when I was taking out my change to give to the guy that's often at the cashier to pay for my bagel, he had annoyed attitude and said under his breath "oh my God," and called over to the next person behind me and motioning me to move over; like he couldn't just wait for me to take my change out to give to him. which is stupid because I am paying you! what are you annoyed for? why can't you just wait few seconds to take out my money instead of making me feel rushed? It was first time ordering there too, definitely wasn't a good first impression. the guy needs to practice patience.
Better breakfast spots around if you don’t want to be disappointed. The cream cheese portions are just disrespectful.
Does this place hate money? I’ve never had so much attitude asking for a bagel at a bagel spot. Awful way of talking to customers.
Overcharged for an omelet and very weak spread on cream cheese bagel. A skip!
Really slow . Waited almost 20 mins. On my lunch break and couldn’t even eat because of them
Whole place stinks of bacon it's unbearable and extremely rude service.
worst service i’ve ever had every time i come
$7 for a bacon egg and cheese must be out of their mind 😭
They don’t know how to toast a bagel it was like the guy warmed it up with a hairdryer, disgusting
Horrible service!!! The guy who took my order was very rude, and he kept on ignoring me, even though we made eye contact!!! And the lady at the cash register had a very nasty attitude. i was extremely nice to them, i don't understand why they treated me the way they did. I will never go there again
Place is extremely dirty, and when asking to clean tables they don't care, and have you wait while they're doing nothing cause there's no customers around. Then get mad and become rude with you.
Terrible customer service, so rude! And completely overpriced. Go to the bagel place on 28 and park instead, it's much better.
Poor customer service. Called after waiting 1 hour for my delivery and was told it was out for delivery and would be here shortly... 30 minutes later still no food, when I called back I was told it was out for delivery and would be here in 5 minutes. I am still waiting...
I asked the cook to check if the eggs were well done because my wife is PREGNANT. The chef proceeds to get upset, that I asked for this. He then in spite make me medium eggs, I’m glad checked. HORRIBLE. No one needs this and there’s no excuse.
The service is horrible! The Spanish man works on the grill bar attitude was super unfriendly! This is my first time come here and want to try bagel. However, food is so so and service is terrible! The Spanish man even made a gesture to hit me!!! I consumed here but I being treated like this!!!
I had a horrible experience with the casheir, she was rude to me when I got confused about their system, she threw me out of the store because I would not put up with her being rude to me. She lost a potentially good customer,I am an event and meeting planner for my company and will not use their catering services ever. I also noticed employees not wearing gloves or using proper food sanitation standards so I filed a complaint with the board of health. The fire marshall is the next call that I am making to check if those standards are up to par..
Who puts sunflower seeds on an everything bagel? Seriously, the bagels are marginally better than the bin bagels at D’ags across the street. I don’t understand why anyone would wait in line for this dreck. Also they’ll let you bring your dog in then yell at you for bringing the dog in AFTER you pay. 🙄
Skip this place! 1st time I had gastrointestinal trouble, second time the fajita panini was good, third time they were out of everything…. Useless place!
Hands down the worst service ever from the rudest staff in the city, and that's saying a lot. Mediocre "B" food.
They charge me a different price every day which makes no sense, long waiting lines so I found another spot for my daily breakfast. I forgot to mention all the workers there are nasty with a bad attitude. I was a daily customer since 2017 but not going there anymore never ever !
I went in today and I was in line like everyone else. The lady literally skipped me & took the white customers before me. Please save your black dollar and do not go here! Clearly we aren’t wanted here.
Restroom were closed since pandemic. Both 3 restroom are closed . Is only for employee. The staff are very rude and the cashier never smile always in a bad mode .
Bagel express over the years became very lazy. Very inconsistent and the food is done in a poorly manner. I usually order by phone and I wonder if I was to order in person would I had a different outcome? I should be able to order on the phone or in person and still receive the same treatment. The manager Miguel was not apologetic and says bagel express is very “busy “ just because it’s busy that should not be a reason for sloppy food & hair on my food and which I’m paying $16 for. I don’t suggest to order from here the cooks are inconsistent and manager is careless.
I usually don’t post reviews but I had an UNBELIEVABLE experience. Why would they even put “Tuna melt on the menu if they were going to just slap a piece of wrinkly old American cheese on some canned tuna. PLUS bread was burnt AF. Every bite was a new experience of hot or cold. On the plus side... it was edible. The service was horrendous. I got a bagel with butter and three other people after me received their hot food before I even got mine. It took 13 minutes to receive a TOASTED BAGEL WITH BUTTER. Additionally, the bagel wasn’t even fully cut through... it’s like they tried to cut it using a knife but midway through they got wrist cramps and decided to screw it. An unforgettable experience. A+ on the stomach cramps I got afterwards.
Bad/rude customer service. I ordered a bagel and they said the bagel name out loud. I didn’t know if the bagel was mine. The woman said it a second time and so did the man who was inserting my card. I said that bagel was mine. She mumbled under her breath and the man said oh my god. She bagged everyone else’s order to go but not mine, which is why I wasn’t hesitant if the bagel was mine. In addition, they do not give back receipts, I don't know how much I was charged. Used to be my go there for lunch in between classes but not anymore. Will not spend my money to be insulted.
I own restaurants and this deli is right by my apartment so we go there on occasion. I understand that running a business is hard and mistakes (charged me more money and wrong sandwich) happen but having a nasty attitude is a recipe for disaster IMO. The last memory echoing in my mind is the Spanish man from behind the counter saying: "WE Don't WANT YOUR BUSINESS HERE ANYMORE!" Well consider your wish granted.
I ordered one bagel, got charged for two. Showed the cashier the double charge and asked for a refund for the bagel I didn't order and was told to come back at the end of the day. Why would I have to come back when she could fix it then and there? Not going back to this establishment, thieves and bad customer service.
Expensive all products count separately You want turkey sandwich on bagel with lettuce tomato salt pepper and mayonnaise you will pay $13!!!! Turkey separate charge Tomato separate charge lettuce separate charge ridiculous And bagel not tasting really great is many many more bagel in NYC
We had breakfast there yesterday and the service was good, but today Sunday 11/10, we got this horrible grumpy guy in the register who literally yelled at us and rushed us to pay. He didn’t even know what we ordered but he yelled at me in a very rude way asking me to pay. We will never go back to this place!
Very rude customer service. Their tap to pay wasn't working with Android devices (I tried two different ones) and the cashier rudely insisted it's my problem and wouldn't restart the machine. I walked to a different store and bought my breakfast without any issues.
I was very disappointed, the guy at the cashier was very rude , just because I ask him to go over my receipt, I thought I was overcharged, he slammed the paper bag that I had my food very hard on the table . I will not recommend this place, if this guy continues to be very rude to his customers. This happened today 11/26/2025 at 10:00am
