Flame Milano Reviews
This place is amazing! It’s a hidden Gem I had no clue about. They didn’t ask for proof of vaccination nor mandate masks to be worn. I believe New York City has raised the levy on that. The price is definitely cheaper here than BENIHANA. I love the rustic decor, exclusive feel & vibe. Our chef was funny, charismatic, proactive & fun. I love how he made us interact with him using his Saki drink trick & shaping food into hearts. This is a great dining experience. Our food was fresh, hot & delicious. When craving a reasonably priced Hibachi dining experience in NYC. GO HERE!
Such good food with such a good lunch special. For the price - especially- the food was so so yummy, the portions were HUGE to say the least, and the flavors were pretty authentic. The staff were so kind and catering to us and were always checking up on us. I would totally come here again!
My wife bought me here for my birthday 2 weeks ago. It's a nice little place for a good meal or for a party. The service is awesome. The staff are kind, friendly, and attentive. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is happening'. Wheather want drinks, fun time with food cooked in front of you on a hot grill, or both flames the place.
Yummy. The Out of Control sushi roll was delicious. The tangerine chicken was also delicious. The food was served pretty quickly and the place wasn't overly crowded.
Had an amazing first experience at Flame! The service was quick, and Chef Andre was incredible he kept us entertained all night and made the evening unforgettable for my family. My favorite dish was the noodles paired with skirt steak absolutely delicious. I also tried the Mule cocktail, which was strong and perfectly mixed. Definitely coming back!
From we entered the building we received a warm welcome. That warmth continued throughout our stay. The food was delicious and the entertainment of the chef while preparing the food was second to none. It was our second time and we sure will be back.
Flamme Hibachi was such a fun experience! It’s one of those places where the chef cooks right in front of you, and the one we got was so entertaining — super energetic and full of cool tricks! 🥢🔥 When it’s someone’s birthday, they start playing this big gong-like instrument (I’m not sure what it is, but it’s super fun!) and bring out a cute little cake — I think it’s free! Everyone joins in the celebration, so the vibe is amazing 🥳🎂💫 This spot is perfect for big groups, since the tables are large. I’d definitely recommend going with 6 to 10 friends if you can. The cocktails were sooo good — creative, tasty, and there’s a wide variety, especially if you like Asian-style drinks 🍹🍒✨ Just a heads-up: make a reservation and be on time (arrive like 10 minutes early!), because they might give away your spot if you’re late ⏰ The food is a bit pricey, and I didn’t really understand the menu very well (maybe it was just me? 😅). I didn’t feel super full, but the food was definitely tasty and the whole experience was worth it. The atmosphere is truly great! 💖🎉
The vibe and energy of this place is very top tier. Sumaiya the cashier is always taking my order with a very beautiful have smile and is always suggesting the best food options. I personally recommend trying the Chicken, Beef, & Shrimp for Flame Combo with a their Signature Peach Lychee Fritos Tea drink with the Lychee Coconut Jelly for the topping
Great place for hibachi and it feels intimate too because the upstairs area isn’t too big. Our chef was entertaining and cooked our food to perfection. We came on a Saturday afternoon so it wasn’t crowded and the entire experience was very enjoyable. This place is very clean and the service was excellent.
nice teppanyaki restaurant. I booked in advance which I think is necessary. food was really great. we‘ve had surf & turf (angus beef and lobster). chef was funny and made a cool show. the whole „food experience“ was rather quick. we ate in less than 2 hours. as far as I know, they do not offer dessert.
Simple and tasty. I had the hibachi scallop, and the scallops had a good, firm, and bouncy texture with a seared exterior. The highlight, though, was the side of broccoli that came with it. These florets soaked up the sauce, packing a flavorful punch that goes well with the rice. They were so good that I may just get the hibachi vegetable set if I come back. I would have hoped for a lower price point, but I understand the location is not a cheap one. The restaurant had a strong, greasy smell that would cling to your clothes, so that may be something you may want to take note of.
Haven’t been to a hibachi since I was a kid so it was fun to try it again. The chef was really funny and entertaining. I wouldn’t go there for the food tbh but more so for the entertainment/vibe. The food was fine but not amazing. We also got a couple of beers and a large sake (on top of what the chef gives). It’s pretty hot in there since they’re grilling in front of you but will cool down once the chef is done.
Went here for a friend’s birthday, our server was sweet & attentive making sure we were okay. Hosts were ok, they overlook you when you walk in or say “What” as a welcoming which was a first for me. Atmosphere inside is lively and nice, if staff was a bit friendlier I’d definitely come back.
The chef was funny so, there was that. The ambience was good. The issue would be the portions. Why? We picked the New York strip with chicken. For the price, it was just one chicken breast and the steak sizes were the size of an average palm. Comes with appetizers which is just two pieces of whatever you choose. I just don’t believe that apart from the 20% service fee, the total was justified. Regardless an average time and the food was tasty. The drinks were strong and good- solid time overall. Honest feedback.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! The delivery driver took an hour and a half to deliver from midtown to midtown, spent another 15 minutes arguing with me on the phone as to where the damn entrance is in the building I work in every day - I don’t understand why this restaurant employs such unprofessional staff. The sushi was bad as well. The crudo was dry and smells bad.
The experience started off good, we were accommodated immediately the cook was entertaining, then it took a turn for the worst. We had specific instructions of how the food should be cooked because we had two persons allergic to different things. This was ignored that caused discomfort
Service was subpar, food had no flavor, there was no show or flare to the cooking, which is the whole point of hibachi dining if you ask me, and for the cost is unjustifiable. Though no part of our group, the rest of our table had the either wrong order or was visibly disappointed as wells then to add a 20% service fee included (for a party of 3)! wouldn’t complain if it was good service or even decent food but to have neither and still have to pay a bloated service charge is crazy. To top it off a roach crawled out at the end to finish the night. Wouldn’t eat here again. Attached is the photo of the roach on the table top
