Bean And Bean New York Reviews
We happened to just be walking by and saw the cutest sloth in the window!! We walked in to the cutest coffee shop with the BEST staff. They were so kind and friendly. My drink was perfect and so yummy. I bought one of their adorable tote bags and he gave me one of their enamel pins for free! Such a nice little surprise. I can’t wait to go back and visit one day.
I’ve been drinking coffee here for quite some time now. The honey latte is my most favorite drink and I don’t think any other cafe can beat it. Julio the barista always perfects my order and always delivers beautiful latte art. Definitely recommend trying this place out as it’s friendly and cozy vibes.
Got stuck in the rain so I decided to do work in here and it couldn’t be any more accommodating for me. Felt like I was in my own home office ! Staff was very attentive and helped me dry off + ensured all my pastries were warm and fresh. The comfort I experienced here makes me not want to go home !
Nice space, convenient location. Come here to attend the cupping event with Producer from Panama - Lerida Estate. Thank you for the hospitality from the owner and Q-grader of Bean & Bean, Jiyoon. Thank you Simba for preparing pour-over of crowds’ selected beans after the cupping ends. Wonderful Panama black honey process Gesha and others. Will come back for more cupping event in the future.
Nice large space , staff is has good coffee knowledge and are quite friendly. The selection of Specialty Coffees is impressive. I tasted several excellent coffees. Their baked goods are great too. I will be back soon for sure and recommend if you are in Wall St area to stop by. They also have a restroom for customers . .
Bean & Bean has upped their game, and roasting some incredible coffees that are Cup of Excellence winners from various Latin American producers. Rachel and Jiyoo Han, the mother-daughter co-owners, are also both Q Graders. If you see either of them in the shop, they are very friendly and happy to talk about coffee with you!
Formerly a mass-market coffee operation, Bean & Bean now purchases a lot of expensive auction lots and COEs (Cup of Excellence) and roasts them lighter than they previously did. They've recently upgraded all of the equipment at the Wall St location to better serve the specialty coffee customer. While the cafe itself is a little institutional looking, the service is friendly and capable. In addition to the standard coffee repertoire, Bean & Bean serves a wide-ranging pourover menu that includes some exceptional coffees, priced appropriately for the sourcing.
Great location whether you’re a coffee nerd or just looking for something yummy to sip on. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. The gesha espresso was actually reasonable priced. (I paid $10 for something similar in another shop in the city and wasn’t nearly as good.) Definitely check these guys out!
Bean & Bean on Wall Street is a rare quiet pocket in the middle of the Financial District rush. The coffee is overall fine although the temperature of the cappuccino was not optimal. Staff are friendly without overdoing it, and service moves alright. Seating is limited, so it’s not ideal for lingering, but for a thoughtful cup of coffee and a short pause, it really delivers.
☕️💬 Bean & Bean – Had potential, but didn’t quite warm our hearts Today my husband and I were walking through the Financial District 🏙️, enjoying the day, and looking for a quiet place to take a break and have a coffee. We found Bean & Bean, and while it looked promising from the outside — simple, a bit nostalgic — the experience inside left us feeling a bit disappointed. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was how old and untouched everything felt — from the front doors to the furniture. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, and I understand some might call it “vintage charm,” but to us, it felt more like the café hadn’t evolved in years. Even the cups were the most basic takeout kind — no brand, no detail, no personal touch 🥤 We ordered our drinks and took a seat. But then… nothing. ❌ No one asked for a name. ❌ No one explained the pickup process. ❌ No one let us know our coffee was ready. We just sat there, unsure of what to expect. I eventually went up to ask, and our drinks were already sitting there — cold. No one called us, no one brought them over, and no one checked in. Even though it was clear we were waiting. It may sound small, but these moments matter. When you go for coffee, especially in a city like New York, you’re often craving not just caffeine — but a little kindness, a bit of energy, some warmth. The coffee itself? Honestly, forgettable. Just… okay. And that would’ve been fine, if the experience felt more connected. But it didn’t. 💡 So if you’re just grabbing a quick caffeine fix and don’t mind an impersonal vibe, this might do the job. But if you’re looking for atmosphere, care, and attention — you may want to look elsewhere. ⭐️ Rating: 2/5 — we wanted more than just coffee 👉 DO NOT RECOMMEND 🚫 (Personally mine)
