Blu Café New York Reviews
Great experience all around! I stopped by the coffee shop and was really impressed great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service. You can tell they take pride in what they do. I also love that the same ownership runs one of the best real estate brokerages in the area. It’s rare to see the same level of professionalism and quality in both hospitality and real estate. Absolutely recommend!
I’m rarely if ever on Riverside Blvd. it’s a residential area with tall buildings and doorman. Way over my pay scale. Nestled within this community is the Blu Café. Business brought me over here today, and it’s a really nice place to have a meeting. Theirs ample parking during the day also. On sunny warm days the park is but a few steps away. I got a latte and it was wonderfully perfect. Theirs a nice selection of pastries but the cinnamon coffee cake is awesome. I bought two slices. It was really yummy. Theirs soft music playing in the background and it won’t distract you with whatever task you’re doing or just relaxing. The baristas, Gio and Rahim are friendly and attentive. Nice people. I’ll definitely have more meetings here in the future. #kingofcoffeenyc #kingofmarijuananyc #sankofatafari #lionofthebx #nyccoffee #nyc #riversideblvd
Great coffee place near the Riverside Park. Very very friendly staff and good variety of bakery products and sandwiches. Recommended!!
Baristas were very friendly and kind. So my mocha tasted extra good.🙏💗
It's a good place to start the day with a delicious pastry and coffee. The employees are always nice and smiling.
great customer service, the Best cafe in upper west side NYC, a great place to have coffee to hang out next to the river 👌💯

Such a nice vibe in this place and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I love their cold brew - it’s very smooth with a nice flavor. I like that it gives a more residential vibe too which makes it feel off the beaten path but still nice and taken care of. There is decent seating inside and outside and they have a nice pastry case.
I can't believe I've lived in the area for a few years but only stopped by Blu Café yesterday! I had THE BEST bacon egg + cheese on a croissant - I believe Howard made it. Gio, the manager, was awesome and the entire staff was incredibly fun and kind spirited. I'm looking forward to coming back!
Great coffee, Great selection of pastries. Prices are reasonable. I wished they had more sandwiches on Sundays since they are close to the park.
Best coffee ever!!! And GREAT service. I felt so calm the entire time - you do need to wait a little bit, so be patient - take in the environment and enjoy the slow morning!
Blu Cafe is by far the best cafe I’ve been to. I’m a regular there and I normally get an iced chai tea late (try it) and all the workers know me by name and everything. The service is fast, reliable, and easy to order and the workers are friendly and now I know most of them personally. They are one of the first cafes to open during COVID-19 and they made an amazing outdoor experience with games and seating with good views of The Hudson River. I’m a local on Riverside and this is the only place to get a small snack or a drink so it’s pretty popular. Many people say that the coffee is undrinkable but that is not true, the coffee can be customized the way you want no matter how you want it. Although you might just want to get their signature drink, Blu Latte, you should also try the iced chocolate (iced hot chocolate), a caramel coffee, or as I said before; a chai latte.

Really nice people working here, delicious food (get the aloud croissant heated up), and beautiful tall windows!

A neighborhood coffee shop with style - decent food menu for a small space and good coffee. Covered outdoor space with 3 TVs each showing something different for different audiences (kids, sports, news)

Convenient spot for local residents. Their coffee used to be sub par, but now have made an improvement. Keep it up!
Nice little neighborhood gem of a coffee place. Very convenient for residents. In the warmer months, could be a nice diversion with a great river view without leaving the river. In the colder months, could be a safe haven from the freeze with a great view.

Matcha all ready very sweet 😠, the staff just correct. They don’t have any menu or plate to tell what drinks they have, you need look on the web. Don’t have inside sitting. But outside is nice to spend time in the shade and not so comfy sitting area.

Great location for residents as only cafe here. small but quiet store. Other places to get better bubble tea. Good pastries and other items like ice cream and flowers. Child friendly. Get a point card if frequent customer. Lady servers are nice. Older man who is usually there can smile more and remember customers for a better experience. Once I had to ask hot drink to be re-made a few times. It was watery once then very cold another. Good place for locals in the area or to kill time.
Not much of a lunch place. Primarily just a coffee shop. Already made sub sandwiches had more bread than anything else. Mustard was like 1 teaspoon which was saturated by the bread. Coffee is good. Coffee Crumbcake was awesome.

For the prices you'd think they'd know how to make the standard drinks..... I'm not even sure they make espresso ( or they are the fastest barristas in the world. But yeah they don't know the basics. If you mention the general ingredients to remind them they literally just randomly put in a cup.....it is tragic and so utterally stupid you'll be stunned into ..... Yeah just coffee in the future or go down the block to Starbucks where they actually train their barristas. Why'd they get 3 starts up top but 2 over all Their pastries are pretty good They server was very nice but clueless. The location is quite pleasant But the drink was a 0. Horrible.

Not very good espresso, beans tasted a little burnt. The large iced americano is $5.75 and it’s only 2 shots. Not sure what the point of getting a large is, when it’s just more water
We’ve been going here every weekend morning for their everything croissant and coffee. We love them. The morning staff have been really wonderful. We had a snowy day out and went on the Sunday afternoon for a change. There was only one staff member and the whole time he was only fussed about our toddler having picked up a Christmas tree bauble. Just a regular red tree decoration that had fallen from the tree. He told us 4 times that ‚ma‘am it’s not a toy‘ and I may or may not agree with that. And I’d love to see him try to take away something like that from a toddler before they’ve had their curiosity fill. But really 4 times in 10 minutes? For a place that’s in a resident real estate office with two schools and day care centres next door, that was such an oddly unwelcoming thing to latch on to… a toddler holding a Christmas tree bauble. This server needs to move to some land with no kids. And he probably emerged a fully grown lad at 18 never having been a kid at all.
