Excellent Georgian restaurant. Great Georgian red wines. My steak skewer with polenta was super delicious. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. All around a great experience. Highly recommended!

This was recommended to me by a friend who used to live in NYC. The place is charming. It gives Parisian bohemian vibes. The staff was lovely. Our waitress was very patient with us and she gave great advise on the dishes to order. They have a great offer of a three-course meal for US$45. I had the Adjaruli Khachapuri to start with and it was delicious. The bread was fresh and fragrant, and the egg and cheese mixture made it a perfect Winter's dish. For main, I order the chicken skewers, which were cooked beautifully. Apparently, it came with a berry sauce... but I thought the chicken was perfect the way it was, so it didn't need any sauce. For dessert ordered the Ideali cake. It was nice and not too sweet. It was a freezing cold Saturday in NYC and this little restaurant gave us a perfect lunch experience.

Badri was our server at the bar and he was AMAZING. He recommended great appetizers and grappa and we so enjoyed our time. The duck cabbage tolma sounds strange BUT was SOOO good. Also the khinkali dumplings were great. Everyone around us was enjoying the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!!!!

This place was amazing! We were a table of 4 ordering family style of many dishes for lunch. Every thing we tried was delicious. So many flavors. Did I mention the service? Outstanding! My wife and I will definitely be returning next drive into the city.

We had such an amazing time at Chito Gvrito! Our waiter, Oasgie, was incredibly warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We ordered the** Nutty Express drink**, **khachapuri**, **khinkali**, and a **steak skewer**, and every single dish was delicious. The khachapuri was perfectly cheesy, the khinkali were juicy and full of flavor, and the steak skewer was tender and grilled just right. On top of the great food, the **Christmas vibes** were absolutely on point—festive décor, cozy atmosphere, and music that made the whole place feel magical. It was the perfect touch to an already wonderful meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for amazing Georgian food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service!

The best Georgian food I’ve ever had. Fell in love with the eggplant rolls. We’ll be back in a heartbeat. Perfect date spot with a lovely wine selection!

This was our first time trying Georgian cuisine in NYC, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Everything was delicious — my husband had the Steak Mtsvadi Skewer with Potatoes & Mushrooms, and I ordered the Chicken Mtsvadi Skewer and Aubergine Rolls. For dessert, both the Ideali Cake and Strained Yogurt & Gozinaki were heavenly. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend this place!

The best Georgian Restaurant in Gramercy. This was my first time trying Georgian food and I was blown away by how delicious it is. I ordered the khinkali dumplings and the cheese pie! Chito Gvrito is my new go to spot in Gramercy

First time diving into Georgian food, and Chito Gvrito set the bar dangerously high. I came in clueless, left wondering why nobody told me sooner that melted cheese bread boats exist. Khachapuri is basically pizza’s fun cousin who studied abroad and came back cooler. The dumplings? Massive. Like someone took “bite-sized” as a personal insult. Juicy, flavorful, and the kind of thing you need a tutorial for so you don’t wear the broth. Bottom line: I showed up a rookie, left a convert. Georgian food is a party, and Chito Gvrito just handed me the invite.

Went here for Restaurant Week, the $45 3-course. The atmosphere is great, busy without anyone being loud. So you can bring a date, a friend or go yourself, and you'll enjoy your time. Food is amazing and drinks are great! I had the beef for main, which was perfectly cooked and balanced the khachapuri (Georgian pirogue with cheese) very well. If I lived closer by I'd come back a few times a week. This is great.

Chito Gvrito is a hidden gem in Gramercy, delivering authentic Georgian flavors with a modern touch. The khachapuri is a showstopper—gooey, buttery, and absolutely irresistible—while khinkali dumplings and garlicky chicken Tabaka bring bold, comforting flavors to the table. What truly sets this place apart is the curated Georgian wine selection, especially the amber wines that pair beautifully with every dish. We tried so many different plates I can’t even name them all, but every single one was amazing—and I’ll definitely be coming back. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, the vibe is cozy yet stylish, and every bite feels like a journey through Georgia. Perfect for wine lovers and adventurous foodies alike!

Such a great restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The salad, dumplings, khachapuri, kebab, chicken, drinks, yogurt dessert—10/10. So much flavor. I didn’t eat anything I didn’t love! The service was also superb. Our server, Lizzi, had great recs and was so on top of it. Recommended this place to everyone!

Full disclosure- I’m a big fan of Georgian food, been to Georgia 5 times and it’s hard to impress me. But this place is a GEM!!! We came here to try Restaurant week menu and loved every single thing that we ordered !!! Khinkali (soup dumplings) came with some spices on the side that made them even better. We also had Georgian salad , Pork Mtsvadi, Chicken Tabaka and almond cake and ideali cake for desert! Great atmosphere, nice service. And another my personal favorite is Orange wine! Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible experience!!! The service was immaculate, warm, attentive, and genuinely professional from start to finish. As for the food, it’s easily some of the best Georgian restaurants, every dish was full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try!

I've dined at Chito Gvrito a couple of times and it's always a winner. Even people I go with who have never tried Georgian food before are blown away by how good it is. The dishes are unique and excited and everyone loves the taste. I definitely recommend their signature salad (amazingly refreshing), the dumplings (either meat or mushroom), and the steak.

This place is hands down the best Georgian food in town! You honestly can’t go wrong, everything on the menu is phenomenal. If you’ve never tried Georgian food, this is the perfect place to start. If you love Mediterranean flavors, you’ll feel right at home here too. I recommend it with my eyes closed, and I’m already planning to come back for their all-day weekend happy hour!

Nestled in Gramercy just a quick walk from Union Square is this hidden gem. Delicious food and a friendly, educating staff who made the entire dinner and wine experience a real treat. The orange wines are a must try.

I had a lovely late afternoon meal at Chito Gvrito, and it was a true taste of Georgia right in the heart of Manhattan. I sat by the window, which made for a cozy and relaxed setting. The meat mixed grill was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the soup dumplings were comforting with a rich, savory broth. I also loved the aubergine rolls—light, fresh, and beautifully presented. And of course, I couldn’t resist the cheese bread (the name escapes me), but it was warm, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and warm, and the decor added a charming, inviting touch to the whole experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

It was my first time visiting Chito Gvrito, and it's easily the BEST Georgian food in NYC! Located in Gramercy, this cozy spot has authentic Georgian cuisine. Everything I ate was delicious, flavorful. I highly recommend the espresso martini (so refreshing!), khachapuri, Georgian salad, the spinach dumplings. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. If you are in Manhattan around Union Square then you must try Chito Gvrito.

Bursting of flavor and everything is properly cooked. The Berry Juice drink is a must. Chill music in a cute perfect sized restaurant. Service is attentive and pleasant. Great experience. We spent a lot because we ate a lot. 👀

Really good food - definitely try the Chito Gvrito Khachapudi! We walked in as a group of 3 during a busy time on the weekend and were seated at the bar.

We went there on a date night. Started with drinks - Georgian old fashioned which was good, and a Smokey lemon drop, just average. Food was average, too salty for my taste. We ordered a mushroom khinkali, which was the best dish of the night. The veg kachapuri was too salty and tasted just like a cheese pizza. Chicken tabaka was average. The almond cake was good, could taste the brandy.
