El Paso Taqueria New York Reviews
LOVE IT! Comfy booth seats, great prices, delicious food, they give you chips and salsa on the house. Service was swift. Spot on presentation with each dish. Also, I really appreciate when the staff (not the costumer) puts the food in the to go box & they do that here, (I didn’t finish all my tacos). I neglected to take a photo of the rice & beans (because I got that to go) but they were very good 😊 they also put napkins and utensils inside my bag which I appreciated. It’s the little things! Thank you! 🩷
Nicest people, fantastic food, gave me a shot of mezcal when I came in to pick up food for my wife after she gave birth.
The elote and hard shell tacos were amazing, fresh and full of flavor
El Paso Taqueria is a go-to spot for authentic Mexican food! The tacos 🌮 are delicious and packed with flavor, the meats are well-seasoned, and everything tastes fresh. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the vibe is casual and welcoming with friendly service and staff. Always a satisfying meal!
Love this place! Lunch specials are really good and affordable. Not trendy like another Mexican a block away but service is 1000 x better!
Nice little gem on 97th st. The food was very good. I got a lunch burrito that was fresh and tasty. My friend got soft tacos that she really enjoyed. Very cute setting w a Frieda Kahlo mural and other interesting art. Server was friendly and efficient. -1/2 star for food bc my burrito came w fries--not listed on the menu, but on the plate. I would have changed to chips or something else. Overall good food, would return or recommend to friends, just ask if your food comes w anything.
Man normally I don’t leave reviews, but wow. Had me thanking the chef.. seems to be a lovely mom and pop shop, awesome awesome awesome. Had the chimichanga with ground beef, my girlfriend had the fish tacos, both very tasty. Excellent restaurant.
Crazy good Taco Tuesday Night Deal! The special is two tacos and a margarita for $15. When most restaurants in the city charge $15 for a Margarita alone, this is a snag. I would recommend either getting an empanada or another taco since the 2 tacos alone didn’t fill me. I got the house marg, two chorizo tacos, and a beef empanada and would order all of them again!
Fantastic lunch + drinks today! I've eaten here years ago, and was thrilled to eat here again. Two of us enjoyed the outdoor dining in the milder weather, and ordered off the Lunch Special menu: -1 chicken empanada- wow! Outstanding, especially with the sauce - carne asada burrito bowl - Omelett con frijoles & aquacate, perfectly crunchy yet soft veggies + Spinach to complement the eggs, this was awesome! -Margarita, on the rocks, as recommended by our friendly helpful server -Paloma This was a perfect spot for a fresh and very tasty lunch today!
My wife’s obgyn is down the street at Mt Sinai so we ate here after appt. The food was good—she got quesadilla and I got mole poblano and we split nachos. The food was not amazing but totally solid—they also had green “hot” salsa that was not that spicy but had a great punchy garlic taste. I would be more inclined to give five stars but the kitchen was incredibly slow bringing food out—like 30 minutes from app to main dishes. Still, I’ll def come back. Also, our waitress was great.
I used to love this place. They had three locations I used to frequent, but then I moved. I came back to the city, excited to come back to the location. The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. They have tables outdoors and indoors, so the waitstaff is busy going back and forth. Food was good. Though there was no pico de Galo, very little jalapeño and a small amount of guacamole, no sour cream, and pre shredded cojita cheese (that’s odd for a ‘authentic’ Mexican spot), I enjoyed the nachos. The tacos were also nice. The drinks? My husband and I both got drinks- he got a piba colada and I got a passion fruit frozen margarita My guy they tasted like water was the primary flavor. It was trash. I’ve never had such a flavorless margarita in my life. My husband couldn’t even really drink his piña colada. So if you want good food, come here. If you want alcohol, stick with the beer. I guess COVID affected this spot hard cause it’s just not the same. Maybe I went on an off night. If I ever go back I’ll update.
Girl friend lunch. It was easy and quiet. They had the world cup on. The $5 margs are amazing , a little too much ice, but they have to make money! The guacamole was spicy to perfection! The shrimp salad was good. Shrimp a little over cooked and adding some avocado would have made delicious. I want to recreate the dressing at home for sure.
I found this place on google map. My father was in the hospital in mount Sinai around the area . While waiting for the procedure . I decide to take a walk around . I went in , they said hi to me and offer me to seat. They gave the menu right way to me . Bring me water and gave me time to order . I ordered tostada al pastor and soft chicken taco . And that’s it. After 5 minutes the anxious waiter told me happy hour is almost finish . I said I was ok . But I change my mind after a minute and as for margarita pasión fruit with a lot salt . 😋. I have to say presentation is good , but the food is overprice and tasteless . If you want to give some flavor I ask for Tabasco sauce . The margarita needs to improve .,its weak . Good that I got it in happy hour . Lol . the place was clean 🧼, and comfortable and the music 🎶 was high . Regueton . Lol . It’s a place to have fun , laugh 😂 and have a chit chat . Some drinks 🍹 🍷 🍸 happy hour of course . And that’s it . Don’t go to high expectation about the food , because you are not going to find it . And not all the waiters are the same . Don’t chose the anxious one . raul . Other wise you are going to leave faster than expected . Lol . I give 3 star because it’s an average place . Thanks for reading . I hope this review was help full .
Be aware when you order on Uber Eats from this place. They don’t respect their promotions and the girl that answers the phone is clueless and refuses to put the manager on the phone. Got my order wrong and she only said sorry with out offering to fix it. Never again order for this place. I wonder why they are going out of business
Our server was very rude and with a mad face all the time we where there. The rice was old and I guess they gave us left overs see pictures that just how ot was serve. The tostadas where ok but not the best. The shrimps we order wherr like dip in spaghetti sauce so nasty. Not sure who review this as one of the best. Restaurant needs a good cleaning and more lighting. Never again will we go there. Keep your family away.
