Delicious food. Definitely try the French onion soup if you get a chance. The server was a little distracted, but overall this is one of my favorite places.

We walked in late night after last call. However, the staff let us in. The kitchen staff apologized and managed to provide us some dishes, french fries and tarte with ice-cream and so on. The staff took care of us very much. Thanks to staff, I could spend good cozy time that I wanted be a repeater. 🥂Kind of apple cider was tasty. I would like to see friendly staff and have dinner next time.

Stopped in Eli’s Bar 91 for Friday night live jazz. Ensemble played great smooth jazz. Menu and wine list is impressive. Dessert was worth the calories. I went with the Chocolate Pavé, excellent.

I got a large cappuccino and a Parisienne croissant for $10. Yes. It's deli style. Yes, it's on Madison. The staff were professional and prompt. I don't expect service workers to lick my boots. I have been on the other side of the counter.

The Google entry is misleading. The Eli's Essentials little store closes at 6 pm, but Eli's Wine Bar 91 stays open and doesnt close until 9.30 or so. We had a great meal after walking in Central Park.

The best egg sandwich in New York - and maybe the world. The brioche used is amazing! Every chance I get, I try to get one.

It’s a nice, clean, and organized bakery/deli/restaurant. I have been shopping at Eli’s for years, but for some reasons, I haven’t had chance to visit the store that’s the closest to me. The foods looked fresh, and smells nice. I looked around even though a challah was the only thing I needed today. They have all sorts of pastries, breads, and cookies. Some soup and cold cuts. They also have freshly made food and a small salad bar. I’ll come back and try their other items. I believe they also offer dine in options.

Good, but the Parisian Croissant is not almond, but filled with custard. 7/10. The croissant was great but the custard was a bit surprising and didn’t really fit.

I loved it! I came to New York for only a day (working) and I finally found a real place with real people and real food.. so yummy! And good price too. Normally close to the main touristic attractions u find just "touristic food". I'm so happy I found this place and I'll definitely come back

HERE WAS MY EXPERIENCE SEVERAL TIMES Staff: Seemingly “grocery store” type staff with no customer service skills and no smile. Food items: Cooked rice $23.90 a pound? LOL, $5.50 for a cookie, $5.00 a donut, $15 dollars for a small soup, $7.00 small jello, My goodness! Lol. Holy Cannoli Batman!! Ok yes, this is on Madison Avenue, and I’m sure they need to charge more their to suit the rent and overhead, but in my view it is a gross disrespect to everyone because it is taking advantage by charging “Restaurant served” prices for grocery items. I do indulge from time to time and I do not skimp on gourmet items, but I would never recommend this place, as it does feel to me like a deliberate rip-off.

This place has all the makings of a great little Cafe style restaurant but it was definitely a miss for me. The deli side is cute and a lot to choose from but the restaurant side is lacking and not necessarily the food. It could have been an off day but what made this experience awful was the fact that they were having work done, inside, 5 feet from our table. Not small unobtrusive work. They had a grinder saw with sparks flying and then continious hammering on metal. The noise was deafening. It wasn't apparent upon our seating that this would continue throughout the meal. At any time the hostess or our sever could have said that it might have been better outside, which we didn't realize they had, or even upstairs. The salt in the salt shaker was clumped together in such a way that when opened, the salt just spilled out. It was really more of the ambiance than the food but really...have work done before you open or after hours. Very disappointing experience.

The pastrami sandwich is the smallest I have ever seen. Too expensive for the size and the taste was ok. Katz deli is a far size for the cost.

I had a roll with egg and coffee for $16. The food was ok, but not worth the price. Their prices are generally extremely high and intransparent. The coffee cup lids do not fit well. Mine popped off and i spilled everything over my shirt.

The service and location were great, outdoor seating is a huge plus! However, the food is expensive for what it is. I ordered the sandwich which was pretty good, and my fiance had the eggs Benedict. He was pretty disappointed overall, specifically noting that the hollandaise had no flavor and that the brioche was a bad pairing for eggs Benedict. Overall for eggs Benedicts and an egg sandwich and two brunch drinks, the bill came out to $63 before tip. I've definitely had better brunch for that much elsewhere. The service and location were great though! But probably not coming back here.

Reasonably good food but, buyer, be aware!! Owner is a cheap skate, taking advantage of customers Example: I order French toast - the cheapo owner charges TWO EXTRA DOLLARS for syrup 😵‍💫😩 How low is that? I asked the staff, and they said “Eli’s orders” Sad he’s so desperate to make a buck Makes me not want to return because he really does not care about customers - TWO DOLLARS for syrup for French toast? Sad

I would have given this place 5 stars because they let people use their bathroom. In NYC, that's worth 5 stars. We decided to eat there after the museum. It was a chilly day and we asked them to close the front door. Unfortunately, the staff told us that the owner requires them to leave it open!!! We left. To me that seemed cruel to employees who are forced to work their many hours in all kinds of weather, and a not nice to customers. For those who choose to stay, I wonder how comfortable they are in the cold.

The food was terrible and over priced. If you do dine here be prepared experience stale rice , cold chicken that has not seen any seasoning, shrimp that tastes like expired ocean and your money never returning to your wallet.

RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. 2 large cappuccinos, 1 plain french toast, 1/3 of a breakfast burrito, 1 serving of scrambled eggs, 1 serving of frittata, & 1 serving of potatoes = $50!!! None of their hot items have prices marked & the barista seemed annoyed when we asked about the service process. $50 for a small breakfast for 2–& its self-serve at that. Also, one of the employees straight up pushed me out of the way while I was paying so she could get to a basket that was under the staircase behind me. Completely rude.
