Gem New York Reviews
Had a private party here and I was blown away. Not only were the food and drinks FANTASTIC, but the entire staff was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in the manager treated us like kings and queens. I can’t remember her name but the first manager was so helpful and kind, even making a custom sign for us, and helping add extra display tables we needed. The next manager Jordan was also extremely helpful and made the event easy and fun. Sarah the events manager was wonderful and helped me with all my questions to customize the event to exactly what we needed. Every employee helped to make the event so much better, and it was so nice to have a private section of the bar cornered off, with even our own coat rack. 100% will be back I could not be happier with our experience!
Great bar with family friendly brunch options. There’s no specific kids menu, but the staff are welcoming and the space/decor are perfect for small groups. Both the brunch and lunch menus are very reasonably priced with plenty of hearty options in the $10-$12 range, which (for this type of place) is competitive for the neighbourhood.
Visited restaurant on for the first time on Thursday 6/9/22 for brunch to celebrate hubby’s big birthday. Everyone and Everything was great! Servers Daniella and Alex were excellent and so accommodating. I must commend and return.
The drinks and service were so good we came back twice in the same night! The staff were absolutely lovely, and the drinks were amazing, and super affordable with the happy hour pricing! Food was delicious and a perfect portion to share — can’t wait to visit again! The atmosphere was super comfortable with great music, can’t reccomend this spot enough :)
First time here- already knew what I wanted to get the burger. I decided on the Gem Saloon Burger- Double Smash patty, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion that I added, side of jalapeños, ketchup and mayo on the side w/ sweet potato fries and a crispy Coke to wash it down it was a masterpiece, burst of flavors all in one bite. It made my New Year’s Eve. I finished with a recommended cookie skillet for dessert with raspberries and vanilla ice cream. Pure heaven in your mouth! The service was 10/10 my server was sweet and knowledgeable and personable. Will be back a 2nd and 3rd time for sure to try out the other items
Been here often for happy hour (one of, if not the best in the n’hood) and a couple times for brunch. Great bar service, the bartenders make excellent drinks and whomever is hostessing at the front is always nice and so accommodating. My fave spot in the n’hood!
Perfect place to spend your lunch hour with a companion, a group, or even yourself! Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere!! I highly recommend the Gem Saloon, and I promise that you will enjoy your visit! A+++ E.H.
We watched an NFL game here while in town on vacation. Super cool vibe, great service and quite literally the best cauliflower wings we’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
Another good spot for after work happy hour and cocktails. Had the wings which were excellent ( Buffalo reviewer with lots of wing experience ) Went on. Thursday and it filled up early with lots of people enjoying the place. Plenty of beers to choose from and I did see some craft cocktails on the menu which I didn’t try.
Went to the gem saloon recently and had the amazing server Ellen greeting us! Couldnt recommend any more!!! The best service you could receive, made us feel like a friend and more than welcome! Gave us the best recommendations for food and drink and quick service! If you go to the gem ask for Ellen! You’ll definitely want to come back!! This girl is amazing
I visited this place with a friend on a weekend afternoon, looking to enjoy some day drinking. The classic Western vibe and Christmas decor were really impressive. We each ordered an Espresso Martini and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was tasty, and the olives were a nice touch, but the Espresso Martini seemed a bit weak, so I added some vodka to it. It was an unexpected visit, but we had a great time! :)
Perfect for large groups during happy hour. I’ve been here twice with colleagues and we were a group of over 20 people; the service has always been speedy. There’s lots of seating - outdoors, indoors, upstairs. We didn’t have food but there were lots of options to choose from. The speciality drinks were great. You also get a free cocktail on your birthday! Simply show ID 🥳
The food is off the hook !!! I fell in love with the cookie skillet super decadent and delicious!! Not to mention they make some of the best drinks I've had in a while !! Everyone is super friendly and attentive too which is a huge plus . You're sure to have a great time here the crowd is definitely upbeat and lively
Sadly this place didn’t live up to the reviews we had read before our visit We were seated in a very dark corner of the bar, where we left boxes in, ignored by the front of house and frankly enjoyable. The food was average at best but what really upset us was the fact, as being from the UK, not knowing the portion sizes, the waitress failed to inform us that we had simply ordered way too much food. Be warned. Order afew items at a time and if hungry, ordered more
we came here on a Happy Hour Monday $5 espresso martini but they said its no longer offered. it is still in their menu in the restaurant. very disappointed!
Ordered for pick up for lunch. Stood at the empty bar for at least 5 or 6 minutes while majority of the staff stood around talking at the other end. Finally picked my steak up and got home to it being almost well done (ordered med rare). Worse than that the Togo box with fries and green beans had a bunch of water sloshing around in the bottom. Fries literally soaking wet, I’d include a photo but I immediately just threw them away it was disgusting.
