Halal Food New York New York Reviews
I’ve seen the restaurant opened for a little while now on broadway but decided to go in last night and get the lamb over rice with white, hot & barbecue sauce and banana peppers. It was too good, I planned on saving some for work the next day but I literally ate the whole platter. The restaurant is clean, portion size is good, price matches and the flavor and temperature is perfect as well as the customer service. Just left there with a new platter, would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a good quick meal.
Perfect addition to the neighborhood, this is my new go-to place! I was so excited this place opened and was dying to try it. There aren’t any good halal places around, some of the delis around do meat/rice platters but they’ve all been subpar. Got to talk to the owner, he cares about the food and expanding out the show to include more breakfast options, coffee, pastry, teas. They have a large indoor area that he’s renovating to add TVs and set up for people to come and work from. Love when businesses set up in ways to help the community. Definitely worth going to!
I gotta say I tried many halal spots and this spot specifically comes in first place.perfect amount of seasoning, portion and spice .i will be going back when I have work in that area again.it taste so good I eat some forgetting to take a picture first lol
Friendly, quick, and delicious food. Plenty of indoor dining as well.

This place rocks. Amazing halal mix platter and the staff are super friendly. They really take care of their customers. I feel blessed to have them in the hood!
I had been passing this place several times without ever entering. However, when I finally did, I’m glad I did. The ambiance is serene, the food is incredibly delicious, and the owner is exceptionally kind and welcoming. He makes you feel like you’re part of the family. It’s easy to become a regular at this place. The most significant advantage is its cleanliness and affordability.
I walked into Halal Cajun Platters and the man who was there treated me like family. I never met him in my entire life and I came in to get a green juice but I didn’t have enough money to pay for it. However the man who was at the counter treated me with so much love and kindness. The food is so incredible and every single thing on the menu is the best food you will ever eat and that’s because it is made with so much love. You will never find a spot like this in your life so many places make a bunch of food but there is no love! The vibes of this restaurant are incredible!!! If you are looking for a place that feels like home PLEASE COME!!!!!!!❤️
The burger was fantastic and affordable with fries too The chicken gyro was clean and tasted fresh and the chicken fries weren't greasy at all This is the highest quality halal in the upper west side definitely
This place is such a hidden gem!! Extensive, customizable menu items made with super fresh ingredients and cooked right in front of my eyes. Can’t find prices like this anywhere else in the city, either, tbh. The Greek Avocado Toast & Florentine Omelet Sandwich on Croissant are my faves so far — looking forward to trying about a dozen more items on the menu! Don’t pass this spot up.
Amazing chicken over rice plus huge menu with tons other options. big seating area to sit and eat with friends or solo. The owner is so sweet and kind.
I was impressed with both the quality and quantity of food. The lamb and rice were exquisitely seasoned, leading me, I admit, to devour instead of savoring it!! I also tried the chicken tenders (spicy version) with fries which also were among the best I’ve had.
Great food, large portions, and friendly service. This spot opened earlier this week and I’ve already gone twice (once for dinner, once for breakfast). Highly recommend.
In this restaurant you will have not only the benefit of having high quality delicious food but also great welcoming from the guys there. Mohamed and Ahmed were very professional and very welcoming.
delicious and flavorful lamb over rice with good portions, so glad to have a spot like this nearby! also very nice and spacious dining room
I live around the corner. The best falafel on the block. Don’t play.
Amazing taste! Love the service and the portion size was huge. One of the best gyro I’ve had in the city
Love the quality of the food! Large potions. Salad is fresh. Now this is gonna be my new place for chicken over rice.
Very tasty chicken over rice, nice and fresh ingredients, fries were really good too! Everything reasonably priced

Lots of shady reviews here: The 1 review bot/burner account kind. Nice addition to the neighborhood. Plenty, if not excessive, seating. Friendly & efficient service. Open late. Take out vibes. Chicken wings. Well seasoned. Not over battered. Good crisp. Reorder verified. The hot wings are very salty, expect cotton mouth at 3am- if you eat all of it. First, this ain’t a Turkish spot with vertical meat sliced off the rotisserie- it’s a an Arab joint type meat spot. The lamb. Had it as a platter and as a sandwich (gyro). Well seasoned, seems mixed with beef, though, doesn’t have full lamb flavor. Plus, the way it chews gives taste like mixed gyro meat (beef and lamb?). The pita/sandwich is a better value over the platter, same amount of meat & it’s huge, more filler with the platter 3.5/5 It’s a neighborhood quick bite, cravings, late night option spot, only. Overall, better than any of the food truck options in the neighborhood. 2nd best option for lamb over rice/ gyro/ doner (not really) style sandwiches.
