Always the most scrumptious bagels! Perfectly chewy and soft. These are made fresh daily right in front of you. We get the sausage egg and cheese on everything bagels almost every Saturday morning. There can be a line but it’s worth it!

Visited Bagelworks for the first time Sunday morning. There was a large line out the door. It didn’t help that it was directly across the street from a church that just let out. Bagel was solid and the smears were thick. If i’m in the neighborhood again I’ll return. The outdoor seating was appreciated and prices were surprising low even with drinks.

Excellent! Very hole-in-the-wall spot. Super small inside so it can feel hectic if it’s busy, also a bit pricey? I ordered lox so not sure what just a bagel with cream cheese costs. Absolutely worth it though. I got lox with tomato and onion on an everything bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese (inspired by another review I read here!) and it was heavenly. Don’t think, just go.

Been around for 40+ years with bagels baked fresh on-site. Very standard NYC bagel - balanced breadiness to chew. Everything bagel was had slight sweet notes. They also had “flat” bagels which I assume have less bread in the middle since they looked more squished. Solid range of pastries, including black and white cookies. Staff was kind. Limited outdoor seating only. No line, ordering was straight to the point. Go here if you don’t want to deal with a long wait!

Genuinely the best bagel I’ve ever had. I got the breakwich and my sister got it gluten free version and they literally had us on the floor. They were heavenly. Such good price too

Selection is incredible, large coffee is massive, staff are friendly, and the food fast and flavorful. A must-visit for anyone!

It’s suck a nice little spot on Lenox Hills. I got a toasted poppyseed bagel, with lox, plain cream cheese and capers. The texture of bagel was very nice. The warmth, and slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside bagel went so well with the cold cream cheese and lox. They gave a generous amount of lox, cream cheese, and capers. I had all the ingredients in every bite until the last. It was a great bagel! The shop was a bit chaotic. You wait on a “line” to place your orders to one of the workers and then pay on a different “line.” It’s amazing what they can do in such a small place. Right behind the cashier, there is a big boiling pot and an oven, and that’s where they make their bagels! It’s great to see everything made in front of me. There is also a few tables outside of the shop to enjoy the bagel, but I choose to go to a nearby park instead.

My partner and I love this bagel store. Their bagels are so fresh, cream cheese is tasty, and line gets long. Scallion cream cheese with lox pictured below

The best bagel in NYC. Super soft center, perfect crust. The pumpernickel was very flavorful. Really nice guys.

Really good bagel spot in the upper eastside. They make the bagels in house and you can taste the freshness. Friendly staff by nyc standards. Wide variety of bagels, spreads, and sandwich offerings. Check it out!

Solid traditional NYC bagel spot with a great variety of cream cheeses and sandwich combinations. Highly recommend the lox bagel — the smoked salmon was super juicy, plentiful and flavorful especially with the capers.

Very nice and new-york style bagel place ! The staff was friendly and the food is clearly reasonably priced. They have a large choice of bagels and cream cheese and prepare them right in front of you. I come here every morning to pick up my morning bagel so I would definitely recommend !!

This was an incredible experience. Everyone in here is working so hard. There are so many bagel and cream cheese options- it left me wondering how they do what they do! The bagels are fantastic. My friend got a bacon egg and cheese on a sourdough bagel. I got a pumpernickel bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and tomato. Couldn’t have asked for better! Will be back!

Classic NY. The lox on everything bagel IS EVERYTHING🤤😍😍😍 I appreciate how the everything bagel is generously covered. Too often an everything bagel has just a sprinkle of pepper and 2 poppy seeds. This one was a lush everything bagel! Service was also great! So friendly and quick! Will be coming back again soon!!🤩🥯

This was actually only my second time having a bagel, FIRST as a sandwich. When I say it was delicious, understand, it was yesterday, and my mouth waters at the thought of it still. Space is tight in this small establishment, but it is well worth the few minutes of claustrophobic panic to get these bagels from this place. 100% recommend this place. If you go, PLEASE get me the bomb bagel 🥯 😋

Went Saturday morning for two bagels. I tried a gluten free but it just wasn’t my preference. The lox cream cheese was delicious and there was plenty of it. My cousin had a garlic bagel with plain cream cheese and said it was very good. I love the vat of bagels being boiled right in the back and the oven right there in sight. Not low priced but worth it. I got bagels and cream cheese again and they never disappoint!

This bagel place is a breakfast paradise 😋 The bagels are freshly baked and have the perfect chewy texture on the inside while boasting a deliciously crisp crust on the outside. They have a variety of toppings from different flavors of cream cheese smoke salmen tomatoes, lettuce, eggs and more , The shop has a small but it has an inviting atmosphere and vibes, there're tables outside. Definitely the best way to start your day 😊 the service is quick and excellent 👌

Bagelworks is a small bagelry in the east 60s doling out tasty bagels, some sweet treats, and other eats. the shop is a tight squeeze so expect to see lines during primetime carb hours aka morning time. avoid the rush as the afternoons are a bit more chill. it’s pretty much a grab-n-go spot and that works for me. ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, red onions, and tomato slices. the bagel was fairly crisp on the outside with a nice amount of chew, and that crunchy, salty, the burnt garlic bits and onion of the everything bagel is so addictive my flavorful. the cream cheese is a balance between thick and smooth, and has a balanced taste. the onions and tomatoes add a layer of flavor and punch. behold portable deliciousness, satisfying on-the-go post-workout eats. the staff is friendly enough.

We ordered two lox sandwiches and two coffees. Staff was very kind and made sure to clarify our order. Wait time was 10+ minutes and a couple of people who ordered after us got their bagels first. Understandable since we got more additions to our bagels and it was Saturday morning. They have a huge selection of dairy and non-dairy cream cheeses. Coffee was very yummy and I would recommend the graham cracker coffee. I will definitely be coming here again!

The small store is located in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan. They sell various bagels, spreads, lox, breakfast specials, sandwiches, salads, baked goods and beverages. They have no tables for dining in. I ordered several sesame and "everything" bagels. The bagels were a generous size with seeds on the top and bottom. I toasted the bagels and enjoyed the taste. Busy location during different times of the day.

Good bagels and quick service. Sausage egg and cheese was great. I also appreciate that it didn’t scald my mouth when eating it.

Really disappointing experience and no longer going to come here. Wanted to bring bagels and cream cheese to my building management and set one aside for myself. It’s the holidays after all and they give you an extra with a dozen. It’s 35 dollars, quite alot for flour and water even calculating rent and labor. I asked to set aside one with cc on it since I was bringing the bagels to the staff. A guy in the back goes, oh you want a free bagel embarrassing me and making me feel like a cheapo meanwhile I’m doing something nice for my building staff a day after Xmas? How is setting aside 1/13 bagels and paying 35 dollars not requesting one free thing just a gesture asking for free items? Lost a customer. Thompson is better anyway..

I have been coming to this store since about 1997. Quality of the food/service has majorly decreased over the past few years. When it comes to the current employee customer relations - it is at zero, there’s simply none. Many of the employees are rude and disrespectful towards the customers by making inappropriate jokes, etc. They’re not realizing the fact that their paycheck does not comes from their boss, but the customers. Last week I have ordered flat bagel (and specified what I wanted as I have always done in the past) only to find out later on that my sandwich was made on the regular bagel; lately each time I was charged different price for the same order. Today, there was one of the workers (who claimed that he speaks Bengali) extremely rude towards me by making stupid derogatory remarks. I would like to make clear that I was not coming to this store being insulted, but to make a purchase. This was my last stop at the store and I will advise all my friends in the area/hospital to do the same.

Went for the first time today, and will not be going back. The bagels aren't good in both taste and texture for a NY bagel, and the cream cheese is way overpriced. Not too mention I wasn't feeling all that great shortly after having a bagel with scallion cream cheese.
