Fantastic experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the portions were generous. One of the best American Chinese restaurants I’ve visited—can’t wait to come back!

Delicious Chinese food at a reasonable price and they cook really fast! Lunch specials are great prices. Bring back golden fingers!

After NYCC, we had dinner with our friends here. Everything we ordered (beef broccoli, sesame chicken, Gen Tso chicken, sweet sour pork, chicken with mushrooms, won ton soup, and fried rice) was delicious, and the service was great! They quickly put tables together to seat all ten of us. We've ordered food delivered from here in the previous years, when delivery was allowed inside the Javits center. Now that we know where the restaurant is, we'll make sure to visit again whenever we return to New York!

I love this restaurant! My fav dish is beef broccoli and the spicy wonton, I always try different things. Today I’ve got the Jumbo Shrimp w Walnuts and wow, beautiful AND delicious! I highly recommend here :)

Good authentic Chinese food! Everything we ordered was not bad. I would recommend trying it if you’re in the area.

Easy location to pop in for lunch. Classic Night Court episodes on TV while I eat my $9.25 lunch set. Hot n Sour soup is the play here. Excellent flavor and plenty of filling. Loved the brown rice option at no extra cost. Definitely a staple for the neighborhood

This was the first time I discovered this place walking around the streets of New York City. I ordered Vegetable Noodle Soup. It was done perfectly. The soup made it feel so comforting and nice for the windy day to match with. All the veggies were well cooked and placed perfectly. The noodles made it to my tummy in no time. Do go for it.

Taste overall 7/10 Main dish Bok choi beef with white rice 7/10, Hot sour soup 7/10 both have a pretty standard taste; Service 7.5/10 Cleanness 8/10; Portion with the price (lunch special for me)10/10; Vibe 6.5/10 a small chinese restaurant with a noise of busy midday busy nyc, one restroom, no free wifi. Overall, I would say 7/10 as a good cheap place to have a decent food in nyc. Note that the menu prices have already been increased from the google review’s menu 3 years ago.

1st time visit and was quick and good food. I had sweet and sour chicken w fried rice lunch combination. Option of soda or wonton. I chose wonton and broth was good but the boiled meat inside was pink. Wasn't crazy about the wonton I had better where the color is darker other places use plain wonton w shredded pork which to me a even better. I wish I chose soda. Anyway not a bad place and would order again.

Food was really bland which was fine, but the woman who was hosting was really rude. They didn’t close for another 4 hours, I was gracious and polite, I didn’t ask for anything out of the ordinary… can’t think of any reason to be treated so poorly. Maybe you’re better off with takeout if you’re craving something bland.

I don’t like leaving reviews of local businesses, but this place is hit or miss it is my go to for greasy Chinese food however, the last several times I’ve ordered sweet-and-sour chicken it’s come out like chicken jerky. They overcook the chicken and it has the consistency of shrimp tails. Inedible. So very disappointing attached is video and photos.

Absolutely Horrible. I’m not one to complain about food, but this place was so bad I just had to leave a review. Lowest of the low when it comes to Chinese food. Wings were just bones, orange chicken was a mess and didn’t resemble chicken. Not to mention this place being way overpriced for the portion. Just awful all around.

The worst restaurant in New York City. The food is so bad. I ordered beef but got pork belly soup. The food preparation area is very dirty. The cashier is also very rude. No wonder there was no one there when we went in. Anyone who has been here once will never go back.

The host/waitress was only nice when she wanted to be. We sat in for dining and they forgot food and messed up our order. When we would remind her she would cut you off and say "yeah, I got it". Once food was at the table she never came back to check on us. They also didnt share that their would be a service charge for paying with a card. A few days after, I checked my account and saw that charged was posted and they went an added more to the tip!!! Stay clear from here!!!!!

Pay attention to the bills they charged you. They changed the tip amount placed on my credit card. I will report to FTC and call the credit card company to fix it. Horrible experience and be aware of their fraud charges!!!

TODAY WAS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL INTERACTION. I have lived in this neighborhood all my life. I went in there to order chicken wings with my friends. We were respectful and calm. Before we even placed a request, we were greeted with a nasty demeanor, where she essentially told us not to gather here- as if we weren’t customers. The woman cashier was racist and extremely DISRESPECTFUL. I will never go here again and neither should you. Will be reported and that’s final.

⭐ 1 Star - Extremely Rude and Unwelcoming I had a terrible experience at Happy family Chinese Restaurant on 10th Avenue yesterday — and trust me, the only thing “happy” about this place is the name. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, so we quietly sat at a table to check the takeout menu. Within seconds, the receptionist (or whoever was at the front) came over with the most unwelcoming attitude and told us we cannot sit, cannot keep our bags anywhere, and must stand in the corner if we’re only ordering takeout. Her tone was rude, dismissive, and honestly, shocking for a place in New York City. She didn’t greet us, no “hello” or “welcome.” The first thing out of her mouth was “Takeout or having?” — no smile, no eye contact, just a cold, harsh interrogation like we were doing something wrong. It felt like she was doing us a favor just letting us look at the menu. The way she treated us was downright disrespectful, especially considering there was no one else in the restaurant. If this is how they treat customers, I can’t imagine how they run the rest of the business. Totally unprofessional and unpleasant. I will never return here, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — no matter how good the food might be. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in NYC that actually respect their customers. Avoid this place. You’ve been warned.

I regret not reading reviews before visiting this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with wonton soup, and while the soup was delicious, the Kung Pao Chicken was a disappointment. It didn't taste like authentic Kung Pao Chicken, which I've had many times before (and I'm part Chinese, so I know the dish well). When I asked to exchange my food, the staff gave me a hard time, insisting that their version was correct. I disagreed and asked to try the General Tso's Chicken instead. In addition, I was told my dish was coming with egg fried rice. There was no egg. It was just plain rice that seemed to have been cooked with soy sauce but had no taste. The chicken was hard and dry. Unfortunately, that dish also lacked flavor. The hospitality was also subpar. Overall, I'd say the food and service were not up to par, and you can find better Chinese food at a takeout place. Sadly, I won't be returning.

This would have to be the nastiest Chinese restaurant in Nyc. The sweet and sour chicken was literally fried batter, with NO CHICKEN on the inside. Just hard crunchy batter. You can’t make this stuff up!! The egg roll had an awful smell, like old cabbage. Fried rice was stale and bland. No flavor. The food went in the trash! Order at your own risk! Giving this business your money, is truly throwing your money away!
