I went with friends for happy hour. Their cocktails were delicious. I love cocktails, and I know this place is a must-visit. Definitely coming back! And they have a DJ; the music was so great… loved the vibe there.

I’m always on the search for cute places to work on my laptop, and this cafe/bar popped up! She’s a cute little place in east village, posing as a cafe in the day time (with a wider selection of brunch food during the weekends), and a radio bar during the nighttime. I came during a Sunday morning, and it was pretty empty, but a lot of people filtered in closer to noon. The barista/bartender was really friendly, and the overall vibes were nice. A lot of people came to just talk with their friends, but there were a sizable amount of people who came to work on their laptops. I got the salted maple latte, which was the right balance of salty and sweet, and it came in this cute glass mug! I also got the softies on sourdough, which really hit the spot. The eggs came with a good chili oil crunch, a feta spread, and scallions. It was a good balance, and the chili crisp really tied it all together! All in all, I’d definitely come back! It’s a cute working space for those who need it.

Amazing spot to work remotely! They play very chill music, which makes it a perfect spot to focus. There’s one high top table, two larger booths, and several bar spots to work from as well. Was very quiet 8-10am, picked up after but still plenty of open spots to work. I ordered a cappuccino ($4.50) and a butternut squash danish ($6).

Excellent chill cafe bar that you can work at or grab a drink and chat with a friend. The staff were all very friendly and the space had a bright and vibrant atmosphere. The BLT sandwich was very savory without being too salty or greasy. I just wish it were a bit larger for the price. The sparkling rose on the menu is also super yummy.

Such a great bar/cafe!! Friendly staff and such fun music. A real east village gem! Easily can stay from the morning to get work done and enjoy a coffee to night to enjoy a glass of Mollie's Motive (their #1 drink! Get it!!) Great vibes!

My go-to coffee shop for days I work from home, or when I just want to grab a coffee to-go. Great coffee and a small but tasty food menu. Comfortable seating with lots of available outlets when you work indoors. Adorable little covered backyard to work outside, which has recently been renovated and offers a ton of seating. Just note that the WiFi doesn’t extend to the backyard, I use a hotspot when working back there. And the staff are so friendly. Shoutout to Quinn in particular, but everyone is great.

Hi-Note slaps! It’s a radio bar in Alphabet City with fire coffee, cocktails, and snacks. The vibe is lit and cozy, with live radio shows and music. The staff is chill and the drinks are bomb. Try the Lavender Milk Punch and the Peculiar Seasonal “Espresso Martini”. The food is delish too, especially the ham gruyere sandwich. Don’t miss the happy hour from 5 to 8 pm, with $10 cocktails and $8 wines. Hi-Note is the best place to vibe in the East Village.

If you’re looking for good coffee and a place to sit down and really zen out this is the spot. Incredibly well done set up with soothing jazz music playing all day. Great to sit down and do some work at as well as enjoying a drink as well which is a cool spin for a coffee place.

I went there for coffee in the afternoon. The place was great and the coffee delicious. The music selection gave a very special vibe which made me hang out and relax.

Quite simply the coolest bar I’ve been to in a long time. The atmosphere is chill and the people are all friendly. The staff are passionate and their drinks are art 🥂

Great place with breakfast food that tastes more unique and flavorful than classic fare. In particular, the savory yogurt was a hit and the brioche toast is great for something sweet, but substantial.

Such a good atmosphere. The owner of the bar was so nice and also went and cut a slice of lime for me when he overheard me mentioning it to my friend. Good vibes and good times

Quiet space, soft jazz playing, good WiFi, lots of seats. The Ginger tea is great on a cloudy “I feel a cold setting in” day

Great vibes at this small cozy listening bar. They have a few tables, room at the bar, and standing room. Cocktails are fun, whimsical and tasty. I enjoyed the drunk duck which is a take on a margarita served with a rubber ducky. They also have a nice variety of beers and wines, and the food menu includes snacks.

Overall rating: 4.3 I wanted to try this place because I read somewhere they have happy hour until 8pm. The place also looked cute so went to give it a try. It turns out the day I went was the last day of the 8pm HH! Now it’s 7pm. 😮‍💨 The happy hour deal is also not good. Over $12 for cocktails. I ended up just getting beer. I live in Brooklyn so the place has to be amazing for me to travel to ABC. It was not. I bet it’s nice if you live in the area. But alas, the place was not for me. Oh well. Give it a try and see what you think. The quality does look good.

((4.5 stars)) NOTE: You snooze you lose. Hi-Note has now been replaced fairly recently by a new cocktail bar, but the review goes on nonetheless... Hi-Note was a smooth cafe by day and chill vibes bar by night. the place evoked a laidback throwback modern space with a personality that welcomed with charm and didn't repel with being a "tryhard." outside of the visual aesthetics was the curated audio via DJ / radio show that is housed here...though that is only at nighttime as daytime has more of work/study vibe. the coffee program was pretty damn good--toured through pourovers, drip, and americanos here and the coffee was always very pleasant when i need a to-go cup of enjoyable cup as I wander around the Alphabets. Hi-Note served a small menu of eats during the day and night. service was always chipper and casual. it's a shame that this place is now a memory, but nothing is forever...and that why you make memories...even in the most mundane everyday things because ultimately the little things do matter when you enjoy them. RIP Hi-Note.

This used to be my go-to working spot, but they now have a strict laptop policy. FYI they only allow laptops at the uncomfortable bar stools on the weekends. I was disappointed because I was the only person in the entire place, and they wouldn’t let me sit at a table. Good ambiance and drinks though, just wouldn’t recommend coming here to do work.

Had a less than stellar experience on a Sunday afternoon. Came by for a couple of drinks. The service was extremelyyyyy slow. The bartender did say that she was the morning barista so I think they were understaffed. She was really friendly and handled feedback well. My seasonal espresso martini was way too heavy on the cinnamon, it tasted out of balance. She graciously gave me another shot of Mr Black which helped; she also offered to make another drink which was nice. Overall, we were disappointed in the cocktails but the bartender/barista was so kind.
