I had the bean curd roll and beef chow fun take out. The prices are inexpensive for this location. Food was good and filling.

I've tried countless chinese takeouts in different cities this place has the best chow fun!

Hop Won has always been a go-to spot for me, and now they’ve added dim sum to the menu—it’s fantastic. The dumplings and buns taste fresh and authentic, and the prices are still super reasonable for Midtown. Fast, tasty, and now with dim sum—what’s not to love?

I work nearby and noticed they had dim sum now, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, it’s hard to find authentic dim sum in Midtown, but this place nails it. The shrimp dumplings were fresh and delicate, the BBQ pork buns were fluffy and packed with flavor, and the siu mai were spot on. Everything came out hot, the staff was friendly, and the vibe is relaxed — perfect for a quick lunch or a weekend bite. I’m so glad I found this spot, it’s my new go-to when I’m craving real dim sum without leaving Midtown!

I've always wanted to try this joint from passing by so many times. Finally had the chance to. They were open since 10am I believe. Picked up an early lunch after doing a work errand. I was a little overstimulated from outside factors so I couldn't thoroughly read the menu. I got fried rice my way and sesame chicken. I don't usually get sesame chicken. First of all I love how they have the sauces grab and go readily available on the counter. That's like 1000 stars from Someone like me right there. Big seating area. I'm sure they get very busy through out the day. Didn't get a drink, food cost $15. I wanna bring bae here. Food was delicious and tasted clean.

This is a no frills place with both take out and dine in. The food is good, made to order. A lot of the typical Chinese take out stuff found at most NY Chinese take outs places, but better than average quality. The Soups are especially good and what they excel at. Service tends to be quick. Short walk from Grand Central. Gets very busy at lunch hours. Very affordable for the area. Been going here for probably 20 years now. Never had a complaint.

Little hidden Chinese place near Grand Central Station in Manhattan, great food very authentic. Can't wait to try their Cantonese style soup. The soup was excellent.

Amazing restaurant! My favorite in midtown. So cheap, delicious and authentic. And the owner lady is so nice. Roasted duck and roasted chicken over rice is only $13.

I like Hopwon for a good Chinese lunch on a work day in midtown. A simple, straight forward place. We can order online or in a machine in the store as well. While I got the simple Shrimp fried rice, I realized there are a lot more seafood choice , like salt & pepper stuff. Good food of its kind.

This is a little taste of Chinatown in midtown. Dishes tastes like something you would get in Chinatown. Got the three roast meat combo dish. It was decent. Would get lunch here again when in the office.

Would you sacrifice your dignity for superior Chinese food? Be prepared to get yelled at, pushed around, and catch your flying credit card with great aim. Because they will tell you that you are too slow at ordering and too clumsy at swiping your card. Also I hope you have good night vision. Because they literally don’t turn on the light in the back dinning area. With that said, I don’t look at myself in the mirror when I am full anyways… dignity.. well, see you another day…

Went in here at the night and ordered sesame chicken which came with rice and broccoli. It was not white chicken meat but it was still good for the cost, the portion was reasonable and the service was super fast. Ok for eating occasionally I guess.

I've had the food here off their lunch menu and wasn't impressed, but the soups are really good. The roast pork noodle soup or the roast duck noodle soup you can't go wrong with. Sometimes, the duck in the soup can be a tiny bit tough but still really good and worth getting. And don't forget to get the hot chili oil, that puts it over the top

Was a regular, first time visiting since the change in management. Sadly, higher prices for less food and less taste. All good things must come to an end I suppose, won't be back. Back on the hunt for good Cantonese BBQ in the city...

The price is higher, still acceptable. But Beef with broccoli tastes too sweet&bad smell meat. So sad to my safezone chinese restaurant 😭

Got the chicken and broccoli combo, chicken too big and 0 flavor… sauce was the only thing to give it flavor. Fried rice was mushy and egg roll was 70% skin barely any pork. First time trying but will not be going back for lunches

This place went from the best bbq place in midtown to the WORST, i used to come here three times a week, shame to the new owner for changing the meat supplier and raising prices. My colleagues and I will never visit again.

I stopped here to get an order of Shrimp Fried Rice today and my card declined for some reason. I went into my bank app to figure out what was going on and my card happened to be locked. I will NOT be returning here because as I was figuring out what was going on the woman at the register grabbed the bag of food blantantly to keep me from touching it as if I was about to run out with the bag. I felt extremely uncomfortable, I paid for the food and left but I regret it. The $14 rice I bought wasn’t even worth it. I will never buy anything from here again. It suck’s to be profiled over $14, place needs to be updated, looks super dingy inside.

My regular favorite chashu pork & chicken over rice has become a nightmare after the new management comes in. Would probably never go back if they stick like this. New mgmt came in two weeks ago with the new chef team. Prices hiked 10-15% with the A-Yi the only usual familiar face left. Sad to see the place degrade so much. The meat quality is worse with chashu cut less consistent and the chicken is just badly processed. Rice has become sticky in the lunchbox where it is used to be better. Veggie (usually cabbage) is much saltier and more greasy. Probably good for those who enjoy still. Have been a loyal weekly customer for 5 years and it is time to pass it now.

Hardly any flavor. Mushy rice, colorless, overcooked vegetables, weird texture sesame chicken, egg roll mostly wrapper - little filling. But cheap for midtown if ur on a budget and don’t care about taste or your stomach.
