Our reviews had over 34 million views so far this year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Jaz Indian Cuisine restaurant. Just opened in early 2022 but already has a great reputation and was voted best resturant in Hell's Kitchen. Well deserved. We ate at the bar and the bartender was the owner "Jaz". We explained we had rarely had Indian food so she designed our menu. Not sure of all the things she ordered for us, but all of them were awesome. We did get garlic Naan which is a thin fried flat bread that was great for dipping all of the food. I had a lamb dish and Maria had a shrimp dish and a chicken dish. All of them were full of flavor. You tell them the heat amount you want. We started at zero and went to 5. We probably would have preferred 5 to 8 next time, but we wanted to start low just to be sure we were not overwhelmed. The heat they use is full of flavor, which we really liked. Be sure to get the fried onion things with green dipping sauce, they are super delicious. I think they are called Onion Fritters. Lovely. We got 3 desserts that had names I could not pronounce. All of them are really good. Jaz is a great place and Jaz herself is fun to talk to as well as some of the regulars that sit at the bar. About 20 tables but get a reservation to avoid the wait. Full bar here and drinks were strong and reasonably priced. Be sure to have Jaz suggest food and drinks, she is the best!!!! Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 36 million views so far this year and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN. If we do a review it is because we love it.

The food was incredible. Definitely coming back. The naan was light and fluffy. Great flavor to the chicken vindaloo and not too spicy.

Very good food for a reasonable price. The service is amazing. Jaz, the owner, greets everyone at the door and comes up to the table to introduce herself. We had a great time.

This place ruined our plans in the best possible way. Dinner was so good that we ditched our group reservation at a different restaurant the following night and came straight back here. That almost never happens, which tells you everything. The food was bold, rich, and clearly cooked by people who care deeply about doing it the right way. Every dish hit with real depth of flavor, not watered down, not playing it safe. The spices were layered, balanced, and confident. This is old-school Indian cooking done properly, not a shortcut in sight. Service was warm and welcoming, the kind that makes you want to linger instead of rush out. By the end of the first meal we were already planning round two, and the second visit confirmed it was no fluke. If a restaurant makes you cancel other plans just to come back, that is the highest compliment there is. Jaz earned it. Go hungry and trust them.

Highly recommended Indian-tiffin-dabba-style-pick up and delivery-to your doorstep in NYC if you live nearby. Their food is best in the area. Jaz and her husband are very accommodating, friendly and nice people. I have subscribed to a weekly Indian dabba style tiffin service that is picked up and delivered to my doorstep with consistently great food quality and service for over four months now.

Food was very good. We ordered tandoori chicken, lamb chops, paneer tikka masala and lamb rogan josh. Tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly. The kids liver the paneer it was sweet and the sauce had authentic flavor with hints of cardamom. Everyone loved the mango kulfi. They were warm and hospitable even on a busy winter evening. Would recommend highly.

Attended an 85th birthday party celebration with family at Jaz. The food was amazing! The service was very efficient and the owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our group was about 40 people. We all had such a wonderful time!! Will definitely make it back to Jaz on my next trip to the city

From the moment you step inside, you experience the hospitality of an invited guest: it is a golden space with white table clothes, a waiter so well dressed and professional, friendly faces at the bar which looks so inviting you think maybe you will sit a while and perhaps even take your dinner there. But most of all it is the owner herself, behind the bar, Jaz who lights up the room and provides its warm welcome. And then, it is the food that puts the smile on your face; elegant in its presentation, perfectly spiced. Don’t forget to start with the samosas- so tender and delicious. A lovely, affordable night out in mid-town.

Jaz Indian is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC. Just a short walk from Times Square and the Theater District, it’s the perfect spot for a pre-or post-Broadway meal. We happened upon it by chance, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip to New York. The restaurant is owned and run by Jaz and her family, and their warmth shows in every detail. The menu focuses on authentic British curry house favorites, cooked to perfection. I was even treated to an off-menu green curry — without question the best curry I’ve ever had in New York City. Service here is outstanding. The staff went above and beyond for a birthday celebration happening the same night, making the evening feel personal and special for everyone in the room. If you’re searching for authentic Indian food near Broadway, Times Square, or Midtown Manhattan, Jaz Indian is a must-visit. Incredible food, welcoming service, and true hospitality, this hidden gem deserves to be on every NYC food lover’s list.

We are visiting from out of state and were recommended this place by a local. 10/10! I have had a lot of Indian food, and this was truly the best butter chicken I’ve ever had! The owner, Jaz, is phenomenal. We spent the last half hour with her just chatting and hearing about her restaurant. Her mission is to make it feel like you are in her kitchen, and it truly felt that way! We ordered the lemon rice, garlic naan (amazing!), butter chicken, and chicken vindaloo. We wrapped it up with some kulfi ice cream and gulab jamun at Jaz’s suggestion, and I’m so glad we did!

A friend of mine raved about Jaz Indian Cuisine endlessly when I told him I would be in NYC! He said it was a must-go spot - he was unequivocally correct!!! We had the garlic naan (absolutely amazing), Fig Lamb, Chicken Tikka Masala, and rice! We left nothing behind as we ate until we were stuffed it was so fabulous. Jaz is incredibly sweet and made sure our time at her restaurant was amazing!!! She is a gem! Definitely the place to come in NYC for the most incredible Indian food!!

Welcoming Indian restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. Was craving Indian and looking for a quick vegan lunch. I popped in the inquire about their lunch specials and the owner introduced herself to me. Am extremely friendly, accommodating, and efficient woman Jaz showed me my options and even offered to make me a vegan Chana saag (not on the menu) and sub roti for the naan which came with the special. The vegetarian lunch box was only $13.95 and was more than enough food. I got Aloo Gobi, Chana Saag, basmati rice, and a whole wheat roti and couldn’t finish it all. The cauliflower was nice and firm (not overcooked like many places execute it) and the Chana saag quite tasty. I’m looking forward to returning and trying other dishes! The owner took personal care of me and ensured that nothing would dairy or egg, and my food came so quickly I had plenty of time to eat my meal during my lunch hour.

Jaz is a lovely lady who runs one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve had in a while. The food came out perfectly, and the sauces were just to die for. I haven’t had a good Indian tomato sauce like this since Delhi Club in Arlington Virginia closed after the pandemic. And while that might mean nothing to New Yorkers, trust me, it is the highest praise I can offer. Great food, convenient location, such a friendly and warm woman who owns the place and serves you with every consideration. Come here and eat six days a week. We would if we could!

Went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and wow, just wow. The food tasted fresh with some amazing spices, our cocktails, made by Jaz herself, were delicious and strong! Our appetizer of battered and fried cauliflower in a tangy tomato sauce was delicious, my husband doesn’t like cauliflower but he thought I had gotten us something else, couldn’t even tell! My chicken tasted fresh and had just the right amount of spice where it had a kick but wasn’t overwhelming. All in all, a great place and well most likely be back in the future.

Jaz is absolutely amazing. Her restaurant and her incredible personality further made our first time experience at her restaurant top notch. I’ve lived in London for many years and Jaz did a fantastic job of bringing indian cuisine from the UK to NYC. I’m a bit delayed in this post but we went lunchtime during American football and she put the game on for us at the bar where we were seated when she realized we were trying to watch on my phone. Her cocktails are also incredible and she takes the time to get to know her customers so she can make recommendations on your return. It’s a very close knit vibe and i highly recommend this place both for the food and the company of Jaz and everyone else who works there. We will be back!

Wonderful Indian restaurant in Hell's kitchen. Sat for a meal with friends before a local show. Jaz herself greated us and discussed menu items as we all had different tastes and dishes we wanted The food came prompt and very well prepared. Our server was very attentive and kept things moving along. Jaz checked in to see if we were all pleased. Nicely outfitted with table clothes and napkins. The effort shows and I would say it pays off. Really enjoyed my dinner. I recommend this restaurant if your in the area for a show or if you want to just try it out. Plenty of metered parking on the avenues. Thanks Jaz

Incredibly boring Indian food that was fine. Service was so bland, and the ambiance just wasn’t it. Lots of great Indian food in NYC, you don’t need mediocrity

Food wasn’t that good and was overpriced didn’t taste Indian at all no spices no nothing it was bland to be frank if you’re looking for Indian food this restaurant isn’t it doesn’t seem authentic at all. Service was pretty good she recommended us what to order. Atmosphere is a bit too small. Maybe the food used to be good but it’s not anymore.

Didn't get a chance to at least drink the water. Tried using a Groupon to get a good deal, $60 food voucher. As soon as I mentioned that to the owner her attitude completely shifted. She wanted to charge me an 18% tip from the BEGINNING, there was no food served, didn't even taste the water and she wanted to make sure I was going to pay that before they gave me any service. in her words "an 18% tip is required." I told her that a tip is NEVER required. A tip is OPTIONAL and based on service/experience. her response to that was "this is New York City, everyone pays that." I told her, well I don't pay tips before any service. Got up and left. not ever worth the time again to stop by there. Websters Dictionary "tip": a small sum of money given to someone as a reward for performing a service, such as serving in a restaurant. Again a tip is an option not a requirement, don't get it twisted.
