Pretty fast and casual lunch spot. I got the seitan bites bahn mi and the JoJu fries. Everything was really good. I really liked the fries although it was too much food for just me.

# Overall: Joju is one of my go to lunch spots while in midtown and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Protein option definitely depends on the person, but I'd recommend the lemongrass chicken. The fries here are a decently sized portion, more suitable for a group than as a side for one person. # Ambiance Joju has a very efficient layout where you order by yourself with kiosks, where some of them have contactless payment options. There's a big open space to support the takeout orders, but still some seating available for those that want to dine in. # Food and Drink Lemongrass Chicken Banh mi I've been to Joju multiple times and tried a bunch of their protein options, but I think the best one might just be the chicken. I also like to get spicy mayo in the sandwich as well as on the side, just for extra sauce. Cold Brew Thai Tea Thai tea is naturally a very sweet drink, but I think this one might be one of the stronger tasting ones I've had.

It gets very busy here doing lunch time. Been passing by this spot almost two years now. Finally went in out of curiosity. I wasn't in the mood for a big meal especially since I never been here and didn't want to spend manhattan lunch time money in this economy. I appreciate the kiosk orders and it's pretty quick service. Very organized operation they have here. Lots of pork items but no pork on my fork please! I opted for the fried spring rolls and they're the best I ever had. Spicy Mayo slapped too. I saved some sauce for later. I'll come back here and try other things. Gotta put bae on I bet he'd like it.

Very delicious sandwiches. Also very big. Bulgogi sandwich was filled with beef and tasted very good. Very quick - i walked in, ordered on the touchscreen and got my order in the pickup window in 4 minutes. A clean no thrills ambiance with several tables in the back.

Delicious, flavorful bulgogi bahn mi sandwich. This place gets insanely busy during the lunch rush. A few tables for dine - in, but mostly to-go. Fries were also great. Would definitely come back again.

I meed to give them 5 because this is one of the best modern Vietnamese food I’ve had. I had their ginger seitan bowl and it was out of this world! I also tried their spring rolls and it did not disappoint. It’s a very clean and efficient kitchen for sure. I work near the 5th Avenue location so I’ll be going there many times.

Been wanting to come here for a long time and was finally in the area. I ordered the classic banh mi and joju fries, both were extremely good! First I loved the sandwich was actually a classic since that’s my favorite, I was kinda expecting a twist since it seemed more of a modern spot. Only thing is I could use a bit more pickled daikon carrots but honestly, everything was portioned really well. The joju fries were so good, never expected picked daikon carrots to go with fries but it was perfect with the spicy mayo. Overall, really looking forward to coming back if I’m ever craving banh mi around the area. Highly recommend!

Definitely one of the best Asian food in the central time square area! The bowls options were absolutely delicious with spicy green sauce! And I love both Vietnamese ice coffee and tea with bubbles!!! Always crazy busy at lunch time.

One of the few places I’ve been able to find good vegetarian banh mi. I ordered the vegetarian ginger beef sandwich which is made using seitan. It’s in large chunks or strips so not like the ground pork you would typically see. ONLY thing I wish is the spicy sandwich to actually be spicy. Ordering the spicy sandwich means it comes with spicy Mayo, sriracha and jalapeños but it is quite mild. Overall, the food is great and the staff is friendly.

I've been to the original one in Elmhurst several times. Craving for their sandwich, I was shocked that they opened one near me. This shop is bigger and modern. The menu is different, it's make your own sandwich or bowl. I guess it caters to the midtown customers. There are two tables outside and to order, there are 3 iPads. Once you placed your order, you stand by the pickup window. Painless and efficient. I ordered a caramelized pork sandwich and iced Vietnamese coffee. Both are delicious and I will definitely go back!

Very happy to see JOJU get its footprint to Manhattan. The place is simple and bright. The food is fresh and delicious. The lemongrass chicken is seasoned very well, which reminded me the old good days in its Elmhurst store. Love the Korean infused toppings too;)

Man the pictures do not do it justice. The food looks even more incredible in person. The bulgogi bang mi and the joju fries with carmelized pork was what we ordered. It was more than enough for the two of us. There are so many flavors going on! Mind blown :)

Great food and the double fried fries are amazing. Love that they have plenty of seating and are open till 7 (for those that stay at work late). ***Place is around the corner from Barnes and Noble Great addition to midtown specially with other places getting some new variety is always great.

Fast casual Vietnamese. I think the caramel pork rice bowl is good- sweet (I can see it being too sweet for some) and savory and good portion/ratio of meat. The spring rolls are really long and crisp! (I have only delivery so I cannot comment on the atmosphere).

First time going to this location in person since I used to get it delivered when living nearby. This place was busy and packed with people waiting to pick up their orders. We ordered via their site for pickup, which was ready by the time we got there. I got the Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi, Crunchy Monster Spring Rolls, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The ingredients in the bahn mi are flavorful, esp the lemongrass chicken, but the bread itself is not that great. The spring roll tastes good but would be better if there were more filling, esp when they call it the ‘crunchy monster spring rolls’; it’s only long and skinny. The Vietnamese iced coffee wasn’t my favorite. Overall, it is a good place to grab a quick bite, but I probably can find better banh mi elsewhere, tbh

I ordered The Sweet, the classic banh mi, the baseline banh mi by which to judge all banh mis and this place can bring it! They were inspired (according to an article I read) by their first experience having Vietnamese sandwiches from under the Manhattan Bridge, which is where I had my first and the place that I keep returning to (now moved to a roomier location on Grand St) for both my memory and measurement of what a proper banh mi ought to be. Joju's banh mi has the same delicious flavors, slightly more refined. The pickled carrot/daikon salad is chopped more finely and flavored more subtly and there is enough that you get a taste in every bite. The meats are nice and salty and also amply packed so that no single flavor is lost. A great sandwich that improves on the original (with the price to show for it, but is typical for midtown Manhattan). The in store ordering system is efficient (giant iPad) and my order came out pretty quick when I ordered a little after noon on a weekday.

Sandwich with mock vegetarian beef (soy and tofu), carrots, pickled onion, crispy shallot and spicy mayo 🤤🤤. The sandwich was so filling and tasted fresh and excellent. I wish they could expand to downtown Brooklyn too so I can eat this everyday 🤤. I was really impressed with how crowded it was but the order was still ready in 5 minutes 👏🏽. Overall, quick cheap delicious banh mi spot for lunch on 5th ave that cannot be missed. Nothing to complain about here tb

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN. The ingredients here are solid and it's a light enough sandwich to enjoy during the workday. Quick service and clean presentation too... The only issue is the damn bread. Hard and brittle. Tasteless and stale. If they improved their bread to a level of fresh baked softness the sandwich would improve immensely. It's also a tad too expensive for what you get.

It's not bad. Just a few things I wish they have done... 1 - toast the bread to make it crunchy. The bread is very soft but I like it when it's crunchy. 2- the sweet meat (I think that's what you call it)...I would like it more if it was a little warmer or hotter. The meat tasted a little on the cold side. The spring roll is okay...I just don't think I would buy it again cuz its expensive.
