We found this wonderful bagel shop on our first day of our week vacation in NY and we loved it so much we went back every morning! Our family of 6 (one child with an anaphylactic allergy to tree nuts) felt so at home here, and as a mama of a child with an ANA allergy eating out can be stressful at times. Everyone took the time to make sure my son was safe every morning. The food was wonderful and the staff was always so friendly and helpful! Thanks for being one of our family’s favorite parts of NY!! We truly will miss you!!

Take it from a local, skip Essa Bagel and go here. Do not have to wait in a line going out the door and half a block. Plus I here Essa has gone down hill ever since they got the Amazon Go contract. Not bagging on Amazon Go, but it has become much more "massed produced" from what I hear. I have a bagel place one short block away, but I walk the one long block and 3 short blocks to Jumbo.

Great service and quality ingredients with a large selection. BECSPK toasted black Russian. Bomb!!! One of the better breakfast sandwiches in east midtown.

Went there for breakfast bagel, when you see locals going in it must be good, we went for a turkey egg bagel and wasn't let down, great choice

I found the bagel with bacon, egg and cheese for breakfast was delicious and didn’t break the bank like most sit-down restaurants in the area. This place is usually pretty busy so it’ll take you some time to get in and out, so come a little earlier. I don’t know when the rush time is so check through google maps. They have so many options so choose something different every day. Enjoy!

We have eaten at so many great places while visiting here however this has been by far our fav!!! My girls have eaten their way thru bagels for breakfast each morning and loved each one but this place takes the BIG WIN for sure! Their homemade hot sauce is a MUST try if you like a spice!!

Very nice people that will help you if you don’t know what to order! My bagel was delicious. It had two meats and veggies with mayonnaise, I also got a drink, my total was $10. Highly recommend!

Great ingredients, but confusing experience. The quality of the food was very good, fresh bagels and high-quality toppings. Unfortunately, the service was a bit frustrating. The person taking our order didn’t speak English and didn’t make it clear he didn’t understand us, he just went ahead with what they assumed we wanted. Another staff member eventually stepped in to fix part of the order, but we still didn’t get exactly what we wanted. The signage is also unclear, and without proper guidance, the ordering process becomes confusing. The food is worth it, but the overall experience could be improved.

An authentic spot frequented by locals. The bagels were good. We especially enjoyed the egg, bacon, and cheese breakfast bagel — a satisfying start to the day close to the Roosevelt island tramway.

Bagels were excellent but on the smaller size compared to other bagels we’ve gotten in New York. But taste wise it was definitely outstanding. We loved how it was easier to bite given its softer shell. Also bring cash if you want to avoid the 4% credit card fee!

Is it possible for a bagel to be dry? I dunno but that's what it was like. It wasn't hard or stale just very regular for a 4 star establishment. Everything Bagel with Cream cheese 7$ Also lacked flavor (seasoning)

Finally gave this place a try, and honestly, despite the queue suggesting otherwise, I found the bagels quite meh. They offer a standard variety of cream cheeses, nothing ambitious. But ultimately the bagel just felt kind of flat compared to others around town. Not horrible but not worth going more than around the block for.

i’ve been here twice— the first time, i got a veggie omelette on an everything bagel and the second time, i got a lox and cream cheese with capers, onion and tomato. - veggie omelette: a little bland and the egg was kind of overcooked; wish there had been more filling in it, as that would have balanced out the bread to filling ratio and textures better. an affordable option overall— i just wish it could have given more in both flavor and filling. - lox and cream cheese with capers, onion, and tomato: the total for this came out to over $18 which is kind of crazy and overpriced even for NYC standards. you can never really go wrong with a lox cream cheese bagel in ny, and this one tasted fresh and was bursting with flavor. the textures, however, were not as ideal. the cream cheese was too watery, leading to the sandwich itself falling apart way too easily. the bagels themselves are good quality though— fresh, well-toasted, dense, and pillowy— though not really any more so than your average NYC bagel. otherwise, the lines usually aren’t too long and service is very quick— overall, i’d recommend if you’re close by, in a hurry, and looking for a quick and convenient breakfast stop.

A super casual bagel shop offering a range of fillings in the UES. In my opinion, the quality of the food as well as the presentation is subpar. Also, the service leaves a lot to be desire. I am sure there are better options!

The most average bagels I’ve ever had not bad but definitely not good. These are not “jumbo” bagels as the name would suggest. I feel like the workers are just half a**ing the job. The cheese wasn’t melted and the bacon was bacon bits sprinkled on the bagel LOL. The omelette was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen in my life. If you guys want good bagel cross the Hudson and go to Nj.

Ordered pancakes with sausage and eggs. The pancakes were disgusting. The eggs was OK. The sausage was horrible. The service in there is unorganized just stay away from this place I also ordered a avocado toast for my girlfriend. She gave it a four out of 10 this place is horrible. I really would like my money back.

The bagel that I got was OK and the service was slightly disorganized and then place was nothing to write about. But that’s not why I went there. I got a beagle with a lock spread and was charged $10. I decided to try something new and for that much. The bagel should’ve been out of this world and there should’ve been more lox in a lox spread for that price.
