Mace New York Reviews
Happy hour cocktails were phenomenal! Delicious and strong. The restaurant was cute and the service was great. Looking forward to returning for dinner.
Everywhere in NYC has $20+ cocktails. This is one of the few places where it was worth it. If you are into really good, interesting, complex flavored cocktails, you will love this place. I was amazed with every sip. Atmosphere was nice, service was nice.
Excellent drinks made with precision and lovely bartenders and staff. Kate managed to get me a bar seat on a busy Friday night despite my reservations not mentioning it as preference. Highly recommended if you enjoy craft and elite hospitality.
Stumbled upon Mace thinking it would be a quick 1-2 drink stop, and I’m so glad I did. I’ll definitely be back! Ale, our bartender, was funny and easy to talk to. I was having such a great experience that I ended up making my husband come down from uptown to join me. The staff was incredibly friendly, the bites were delicious, and the rotating cocktail menu was inventive and fun. Between the two of us, I think we tried all but two cocktails in one visit.
A very unique bar with an interesting curated menu. The drinks are based on spices, leading to unique recipes, had The Vanilla a bourbon based drink that’s bitter, tropical and quite potent, also The Basil a gin based cocktail with a savory profile with tomato notes. The rest of the menu was diverse enough that it would warrant a return. Bartenders were all on spot, the place has a good ambiance and decor , it’s quite popular so you may want to do reservations if you don’t want to wait. Give it a try at least once it’s a clever menu worth trying.
New York City is full of incredible cocktail bars, but Mace stands out for something much harder to find: warmth. The cocktails are consistently outstanding—thoughtful, creative, and beautifully balanced—but that’s only part of the reason I keep coming back. What truly sets Mace apart is how welcoming and cozy it feels every single time. In a city where great drinks are everywhere, genuine hospitality is rare. Here, you’re not rushed, you’re not treated like a transaction—you’re treated like a guest. The atmosphere invites you to slow down, stay a little longer, and actually enjoy the experience. Huge thanks to the entire staff and management for creating and maintaining a space that feels this special. Mace doesn’t just make great cocktails—it creates a place you’re always happy to return to.
Miracle Bar is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is fun, festive, and full of great energy, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a cozy drink that still feels special. The cocktails are creative, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious—clearly made with care and attention to detail. What really made the experience stand out, though, was Mari. Her hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived. She was warm, welcoming, attentive without ever being overbearing, and made us feel truly taken care of. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it completely elevated our visit. Between the vibe, the drinks, and Mari’s outstanding service, Miracle Bar lives up to its name. Can’t wait to come back!
We stopped in and realized they’re hosting their Miracle Christmas pop-up, such a fun surprise! A friend who visited recently didn’t even recognize the place because it’s now completely transformed with festive décor, including both Hanukkah and Christmas elements. I tried the Yippee Ki Yay along with two other cocktails, and the YKY was the standout by far. Prices were surprisingly reasonable, all under $20 even with the special event. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to immerse yourself in full holiday spirit in NYC.
Only came for a couple of drinks. One of the stops on our bar-hopping list we visited last Friday mid afternoon around 4:00pm. No wait, seated 3 of us at the bar. Very unique and curated drink menu complimented by bartender Alejandro who was very knowledgeable on all of the drinks, pairings and other spirits. Even paired special shots with our happy hour oysters and gave us great recommendations. Definitely coming back to visit in the future, thank you for the great service Alejandro!
Very nice cocktails menu with something for everyone The food was very flavourful as well and paired great with the drinks Highly recommend for a nice night out! We ordered 3 cocktails each and few dishes from the food menu In the food department my personal favorite was the croquet - it was filled with slow cooked beef and it was a very surprising bite. The gnocchi was also very nice In the drinks department - the flavours were very interesting and I liked that the menu was herb based which made it easy to navigate and the drinks actually had the flavors as described (which is not always the case in similar establishments) All and all , highly recommend and would love to come back to taste some more!
A fantastic spot where every cocktail is crafted with a unique spice and a different spirit. Each drink is multilayered and full-bodied in flavor, featuring rare and unusual ingredients. The small plates selection is excellent, offering delicious pairings. Friendly, welcoming staff and fast service. A truly wonderful place. Strongly recommended.
Wonderful cocktails. Been here twice and both times my experience was top notch. We were seated at the bar the first time and the second time we got a booth. The service is quick and food delicious. Their cocktail menu describes the drink flavors really well so it’s easy to order. I recommend the Black Cardamom, Mace, Paprika.
One of my favorite NYC cocktail bars. Top hospitality from Nicco, Ben and Sabrina the last time I visited. Current menu is based on different spices from all around the world, cocktails are perfectly executed and all the ones that I tried were amazing. My favorites were Vanilla and their Espresso Martini. Loved the vibe and the atmosphere, definetely recommend it to enjoy a few drinks.
This is such a great cocktail bar. They use fresh ingredients and put a lot of thought into their cocktails. The cocktails tasted really good and are worth the price. They’re also well rounded and have a good flavor combination. The bar is also really nice! It’s got a rustic elegance and even has a fire place. The seats are comfortable and cozy.
Stopped in for a cocktail. It’s a great environment with very good service. I didn’t give a 5 because my cocktail was premixed and poured from a bottle. That’s fine for a $10 cocktail in a bit of a dive bar, not for a $21 cocktail…at least not for me.
I recently visited this bar known for its great cocktails, and overall, it was a fun but mixed experience. We wanted just drinks and they were definitely creative, interesting, and delicious. Each one felt like a little surprise in a glass. That said, the portions of alcohol were a bit on the shy side, especially compared to the generous helping of ice ;) . To be fair, the ice itself was perfect: crystal clear and exactly the kind of texture a well-made cocktail calls for. Service, unfortunately, didn’t meet expectations. After placing our order, we waited quite a while only to find out that the server had forgotten to put it in. Not a deal-breaker, but it did affect the flow of the night. On the bright side, the hostess was adorable and very helpful <3 she definitely added a friendly touch to the experience. The atmosphere was stylish and had good energy, but it was almost too loud to carry on any kind of conversation. Might be a better spot for a quick drink rather than a long catch-up. Would I go back? Maybe, with lower expectations and higher hopes for better service <3
What a wonderful spot for cocktails! Meeting up with a friend for a delightful drink experience in the early afternoon was truly enjoyable. Upon our arrival, the place was peacefully quiet, and we were left to settle in on our own. While waiting at the bar for my friend's arrival, it took a moment before I caught someone's attention to take our drink order. The menu here is so detailed and help you to choose the right drinks for you. Our selection of licorice, yerba mate, sancho pepper, and mace concoctions turned out to be a delightful array of distinct and delicious flavors. As cocktail enthusiasts, we appreciated the well-crafted, beautifully presented, and potent drinks. The ambiance was delightful, and we had a great time, although a bit more attentive service would have been perfect. In conclusion, it's a lovely spot to enjoy some fantastic cocktails.
