Margaux New York Reviews
I visited this cafe today with my friends, and I loved it. The service was great. They are very cordial and polite (the waiters). I ordered the only burger they had on the menu, & it was very delicious. I recommend anyone to visit the restaurant. ( My apologies for the blurry photos. My camera was acting weird)
Nice good place with good options of drinks and food. Ambiance is really good. Staff is friendly, environment is so good, you don’t want to go home .
The burger was excellent, fries was krispy and well seasoned . The service was fast and friendly.

Absolutely incredible and tragically underrated. I have never had anything short of a great meal here. The pasta is made fresh-in house daily. Highly recommend for locals in the know and Marlton Hotel guests alike.
Adorable and quaint. Good food. Loved the soup, bread with cheese and olives and the smoked fish board. Like a little French bistro in the village. Fab bread pudding! Ask to eat in the back enclosed garden area for even more ambience.
Lounge is a good spot for a casual cocktail. Nice, understated, old-school vibe. Decent service and menu. Doesn't feel like they are trying too hard--in a good way.
The posh makeover is nice but I liked the restaurant the way it was before. I was actually devastated they got a new chef because he was beyond skilled and everything was delectable. The food was better when it was Italian, . Now; the drinks are what I come here for; they are AMAZING!!!
We had a great experience dining here, starting with the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully designed, creating a comfortable yet chic setting that's perfect for a relaxing meal. Our server, Gustavo, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations that really enhanced our meal. The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying, making it a memorable dining experience. Overall, Margaux is a solid choice for anyone looking for a great meal in the city, with excellent service to match. We’ll definitely be back!
This is my favourite spot in West Village. The food is always delicious, service is always top notch and the ambience is always warm and welcoming. The lobby is stunning, adding to the overall charm of the place. A must-visit!
Reviews are stale! Grand reopening 3 weeks ago is a grand success. Chef F. is spectacular! Server Saxon is the man!

Really enjoyed the food and the vibe - the scallops and the burrata were delicious, and their honey and ricotta shared plate was great too. Definitely on the pricier side though.
Had a very nice dinner experience with a couple of old friends! Server was quiet, with just the right amount of attention, but not too much. Good food and a nice atmosphere. I’ll be back.

There's a lively ambiance at this relatively new hotel restaurant down in Greenwich Village. The seasonally focused menu is easy to navigate and the kitchen delivers pretty well on the Provencal/Mediterranean flavors imparted in the dishes we tried. I was a fan of the seasoning on their Amish Chicken, a Turkish spice rub known as Urfa Biber - though the meat was slightly overcooked/dry. The farm board was easy to share, but a little uneventful - I'd like to try the cauliflower custard on my next trip. Margaux is definitely more of a scene, filling up well on a Tuesday night, but the food makes good on its promises.

The service was great. I had a delicious piece of salmon on top of fresh corn. But the starters were kind of gross -- piles of soft stuff on a wooden plate. It made me think of cutting boards and how it can be hard to clean them. We also had a salad with peaches and the peaches were WAY over-ripe -- verging towards rotten if I am being blunt. Not a terrible experience, but I probably wouldn't go back.
I’ve always liked the cozy setting. Their hours are great being available for late lunches etc. the fact I was ravenous didn’t help the rigatoni dish, although delish was v small for $19. My glass of wine was more than the small food. Service was practically non-existent. 20years living in NYC I’ve never said that. Left unattended for over 20 minutes. No sign of server, follow up menu/course etc. bizarre.

Came here for post-work drinks with coworkers on a Tuesday evening. We sat in the front lounge area near the fireplace. It’s a really cute place. It feels like the library of an old school mansion. The wait service was not the best. They seemed annoyed to have to take our order. The French fries were pretty tasty though. Probably won’t come back. The cocktails were over $15 and not that great.
Well..this was one those not too great experiences but then someone saves the day kind of thing?? Came in here just because of how cozy it looks from outside. Walked in, server sees me by the podium and walks away. I wanted to really try the place so I chased after him and asked to be seated. He looked bothered, but got a better attitude a bit later. I get it: We all have bad days and dealing with the public is a pain! But then he went MIA. Gustavo, the bus boy/waiter saved the day. He took care of me and was on top of service one. A new waiter came in and was friendly though. The pros: beautiful space...the cons: innatentive service, average food, and unimpressive cocktails (Not everyone knows how to incorporate mezcal into a cocktail without overwhelming). Wanted to love this place, but can't recommend in good faith..
Want to like this place but far too many issues. The burger bun was stale, tough and inedible. the service was horrid. They brought entrees from another table to Our table during our appetizers. We asked for side salads with burgers and got fries. Everything was slow. Scallops were good. Bucatini was ok, a bit over cooked and limp. The winter salad was the highlight, standing out in a mediocre experience.

I came for dinner with a friend at 6:30pm last night (Nov 17) The place was empty. I asked to host if we could sit on a booth, he said were for larger parties. We sat at a small table for an hour. The host/ waiter never came back to take our order, and no one ever came to sit in any of the booths. The host took an order from a woman who came in after us. We were punished for requesting a booth in a near empty restaurant. We left and went down the street for Loring Place where were were greeted warmly, and had the most delicious dinner. Margaux has a nice atmosphere, decent food- but the service has always been bad, and last night it was appalling.
