This is an excellent bar. Good choice of beer, friendly, safe, and clean bathrooms. More of beer and wine. Limited sport. I loved this place. Happy to see two people inside drinking beer and reading books. Prices are good. Chloe is a friendly and fabulous bartender.

I visited Marshall Stack in May while I was in New York, and I loved the variety of beer and sake they offered. The bartender was super kind, helpful, and answered all my questions with a smile. The other guests were also incredibly friendly — it made the whole experience warm and memorable. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in NYC!

Love this spot. Beer & wine only, never really busy and the crowd and bartenders are always really chill.

Laidback corner bar with an equally laidback (and attentive) bartender. They had some interesting beers I'd not heard of, and as pictured, a can one of the best non-alcoholic beer we've had (Al's). They also had some goofy little cartons of sake which we didn't drink, but asked to take a photo of one. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday (May 28) evening.

Love this place so much, we were in LES for a week and came here almost every day, was a proper welcoming local from the 1st day we arrived. Great bar guys, chilled vibes and good music. Also were even super cool about us being ignorant/not understanding of the tipping situation initially! Hopefully we will get the chance to return one day!

Great little spot on the LES. Never too packed, always a great vibe. Marshall Stack has an awesome tap line and some really exciting canned beverages too. Don’t miss the spiked coconut water drink SUNBOY.

Lower east side is filled with bars but this is the most chill out of them. Really nice bartenders. They offer beer and wine only. It doesn’t get overcrowded but always has people chilling around. It’s a great pit stop during the day and late at night to grab a beer on the go or such.. don’t miss out

Went with some friends for the end of a fun night out. Very nice chill atmosphere and had a table big enough to fit 7 of us. The bartender had great customer service even when he got a bit busy. The hard apple cider here is delicious as well!

I was in New York over Christmas staying on Allen Street in the Lower East Side and I went to Marshall Stack on the recommendation of our hosts. What a wonderful little bar with the largest amount of beers on tap. I’d like to thank the lovely bar tender who looked after us over the Christmas period and even in Christmas Day evening. I’ll definitely visit when I next visit NYC. Thanks again guys ❤️

Just beer and wine for now, but what a great selection. Food is dope. Love the duck sandwich and sloppy joes. Bartender Spencer is a cutie pie.

Lives up to the hype, this is a casual beer lovers bar; great selections on tap, bare-brick decor with some beautiful old lights and ceiling panels. Nothing too 'try hard', but genuine and friendly bar staff. Also, $6 happy hour for Firestone Walker is practically unbeatable in the city. Well worth stopping in for a drink.

For my money, the greatest bar in New York City. I've lived uptown, downtown, and everywhere in between, but I find myself coming back to Stack for its ridiculously great staff, after school specials (english muffin pizzas) and an amazing beer selection. No liquor, but I only drink gin anyway. The people watching from the big windows facing Allen Street rivals any urban space and wondered "what are they up to?" I love this bar. I can't believe they take credit cards now, but I love this bar.

A great straight forward bar with great beer, wine etc ... But the best part is the company. Apparently 13 years old and I did not know it existed. Looking for a drink? Head here.

I really like this bar. They have an amazing selection of beers, wines and hard ciders. Much more than your standard everyday beers at any other bar. Lots of stouts especially. The bartenders are great and the crowd is decent. Its a great place to hang when in the LES.

Marshall stack is a nice bar to chill and have a drink. It's in a busy area and the people are the chill. It's dark place, but it doesn't come off as a romantic place so you can definitely bring a friend here. They have a drink menu as well a selection of wine and beers. If you're looking for a causal place to drink that isn't a divey bar, come here. Atmosphere is low key, but decor and the patrons make a good crowd.

This used to be one of the best LES OG joints, had many many great memories here but it has been a minute until tonight since I visited. They seem to have lost the plot of the name Marshall Stack by not playing anything remotely rock or indie, which if it wasn’t a rock joint in the past would be fine but the whole idea of the bar was exactly that. From Sabbath to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, it was playing on the speakers but tonight it was J Blavin and Bad Bunny urban beats etc, which I do not want to decry or diss, but plenty of places are playing them, and I used to spin house music in the LES when it was nothing but post punk and garage rock. Changing times indeed for a joint that was the doing the classics. But the low rating is the service, the bartender I had to do ask, plead and then demand my cc was beyond entitled, obnoxious and rude. I normally don’t make a big protest but no matter what I said he quipped in a way that was so not cool. I remember when it was the two long hair rocker owners slinging beers, not so much of a hint of their awesome service tonight sadly.
