Had an amazing Chef's special Omakase here and every piece was carefully crafted and fish was super fresh. Probably one of the best Uni I have ever tasted in NYC. The handrolls were delicious too and we added on salmon and spicy rock shrimp to the experience. Paired it with sake and had a fantastic dinner.

Very nice omakase experience. The sushi were fresh and the fish were very well cut. I recommend this place for people that love classical sushi as they don’t make “modern” sushi.

Everything was exceptional - the service, the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and of course, the food. Three of us had the Chef’s omakase experience, and it was like watching mesmerizing performance art. A fantastic experience all around.

This was our second visit to Noz Market. They never fail to impress and satisfy. The cuts of fish are large and wrap all the way around the rice. The nigiri are seasoned perfectly, skillfully and with precision. The chefs here truly practice the art of sushi. The two omakase options are reasonably priced, and you can add extra pieces at the end of the experience. My Japanese fiancée emphatically approves, which should tell you what you need to know about this restaurant. Not too difficult to make a reservation a few weeks ahead of time, but definitely make one in advance. We will most certainly return.

Traditional omakase for $155 for 17 courses or $80 for 10 courses. We ordered the larger omakase and requested 2 additional pieces. The fish was super fresh and we were given very generous portions. The quality and size of the pieces made it feel like a $250 omakase. The vibe of the restaurant was a lot more casual than I was expecting. I was severely overdressed. All the other patrons were in casual clothes, and it was a more chatty environment than I was expecting. Not an issue, but just to set expectations ambience-wise. I’ve already recommended this place to all my friends. Would come back for high end sushi at a good price in a casual setting.

Went here for a quick lunch, got four servings of hand roll for happy hour (2pm-5pm). just a heads up they don't have chair for you to sit on, obviously its good only for a quick bite, so if your planning to come the space is a little bit small so a couple would be good or a party of 6. FYI: and if you order the the same dish for second round of hand roll it would be a regular price, so basically happy hour works only on your first oder second one will be regular price, and caviar/uni is not included. staff are nice and chef is really serious looking 👨🏻‍🍳 enjoy!

Noz Market is an outstanding restaurant. I went there for lunch and had a great time. The sushi is fresh and the chef is knowledgeable and friendly. From king salmon to belt-fish to the shrimp, everything was exquisitely prepared . The lunch comes with about 9 courses and towards the end you can add additional items at various price points. From beginning to end, I enjoyed the experience and food.

I can't recommend the standing handroll bar enough. The quality of the rice and fish is unsurpassed by anywhere else at nearly any price point. My personal favorites are the toro taku, yellowtail scallion, scallop and the soft shell crab. The rolls are generously portioned and their daily happy hour it is worth every penny and then some.

High quality fish. Probably just a touch too much nikiri being brushed on certain nigiri. Do let the chef know and he will customize it for you.

We had the most fantastic & incredible experience at Noz Market. We had Omakase & hand rolls and the chefs attention to detail was absolutely amazing. The place is beautiful and service was impeccable. Highly recommend anyone to anyone who wants to feel like they’re in Japan for an evening. Can’t wait to go back!

Decided to splurge on delivery for NYE 2025— Both omakase boxes and sabazushi were very high quality as expected fish to rice ratio were spot on However the showstopper was the takoyaki! Lightly fried octopus that stayed crispy for an hour ride home on the train (super impressive) delicious and not greasy at all. Honestly 5 stars and the only star deducted is because it is $$$ —yes for a special occasion of course!

Ordered a to go box. Large sashimi and Omalase box. Also ordered the Special Ponzu sauce. Great presentation of the to go box, complete with soy sauce, ginger and wasabi in a separate container. Overall, sushi was great. As for the sashimi, a little on the thinner side, could have been more thicker hence the 4 stars. Protip: As of time of writing, 12/7/25, Noz Market is part of the Chase Sapphire Reserve Dining Credit in NYC. To get the $150 credit, do not order online as it will charge via Uber Eats. Call the store and make sure they punch in your credit card via phone. *If the place is busy they can and will refuse to take orders via phone.

Noz Market Est. 2020 Layout/atmosphere *Pass through drapes to chef’s counter; through another set of drapes is few tables in back for a la carte menu Food/drink *Chef’s Counter Omakase menu (1 otsumami/appetizer, 10 nigiri, 1 uni course, 1 maki roll, miso soup, tamago & dessert) + Spicy Caviar (Cod Roe) maki roll - Good; everything fresh and tenderly prepared *Daina, Nasu Gohyakumangoku Junmai Ginjo, Tochigi sake (crisp, apple, youthful acidity, citrus, joyful) - solid

I felt very relaxed in this “market.” You walk in and you can actually buy pre made sushi- seemingly high quality (Atleast the price says so). When you are seated you watch the chef prepare your meal and enjoy a simple yet elegant omakase. For the price, it’s worth it.

The space offers two dining experiences: Sushi Noz for omakase and Noz Market for a standing handroll bar. This review is for Noz Market. Space is small ideal for in and out super quick bite. The fish quality is solid, but the preparation was overly salty—even after three glasses of water, I was still thirsty. Even with the $10 happy hour special per handroll, it still feels a bit pricey. That said, service is excellent and fast.

I went to the hand roll bar during happy hour. The food was fantastic, but I had to ask to get my hand rolls 3 times before they were made for me. Meanwhile, I watched the other 4 people at the sushi bar get their food without issue. It really made me feel invisible. They need a better system to keep track of orders.

Great hand rolls but the staff needs to relax. They are super intense about getting out as fast as possible. I mean… you are standing at a bar with no chairs. How long do they think one will stay? They push hard to get you out, to the point where they no joke asked 4x if we were finish go tell us tha we “could lay whenever we were ready” with beer and other beverages in front of us that we had not yet finished… go but eat slowly and tell to relax and it will be a great experience. Do NOT let them rush you. Also, order as you go! If you order everything at the beginning they will serve you as fast as possible. To the point where you haven’t even finished your last bite of the previous roll and here comes the next one…. If the quality of the rolls wasn’t as good as it is at a fair price this would no doubt be a one star review.

I was absolutely pumped about this reservation. Decided to spend the weekend making my rounds on a food tour and this was the final stop, Sunday night dinner. I love all food. If it tastes good, I’m eating and as the brother restaurant to Sushi Noz I had heard the most amazing things. For the price point and the quality, it could not be beat. The atmosphere is wonderful. It’s beautiful and clean. I arrived before my reservation and was greeted by the lovely staff. They were all great. The vibe is cool. Having been to Japan it felt familiar but upscale and I really dug it. However before sitting down the first thing on my mind was that it smelt fishy. I’ve been to omakase places for half the price and twice as much and never been met with such a strong odor before but I was still excited about the meal. When we sat down, most of the fish had been cut already or was being cut. For omakase it is important to not only appreciate the quality of fish, but the skills of the chef and the atmosphere around. Almost all the fish had been cut before guests had been served their first dish. The meal started with very underwhelming cuts of fish. I believe the first was snapper, very underwhelming, fishy, really set the mood. Then came the squid wish was slimy and rubbery followed by a number of incredibly unimpressive cuts of fish. I was frustrated by the menu choices for the night. A bunch of off cuts were offered, no salmon, then to finish back to back to back cuts of tuna which were offered with no relief to their fattiness. If you’re going to judge a pizzeria by their cheese slice then you judge an omakase menu based on the quality of their otoro and boy was it sad. The mid fatty fish was tasty and average to below average at best, but the otoro was served seared and totally ruined the taste and the quality of the fish. I was super, super disappointed by the menu. I will not recommend this place nor will I try Sushi Noz after this experience. I will re emphasize the staff was amazing and the service was great, however if you are going for the fish go somewhere else. Anywhere else. The quality of omakase sucked and literally ruined my entire weekend having dined at some finer places the entire weekend. I will not go back, bring anyone here or try and of their sister restaurants.

Went for a date night dinner. Had Omakase dinner. Felt the cost of dinner and a small carafe of Sake at $450+ with tips too high, and we left still hungry. Much better options available.

When I tried the gari (old (not baby) ginger) cut into thin sloppy tough strips), I should have left. Everything was pre sliced in front of us en mass before serving. My chef (left hand side; chef on right side seemed better) seemed like he was in training (sloppy very thin cuts and some were placed and removed and placed a different fish on same rice). Squid was chewy and tasteless. I paid for upgrade but neighbors had better looking scallop and bonito that I was not served. Golden eye snapper, baby shrimp, king yellowtail, chu toro, uni and smoked baby blue fin tuna were mediocre but rice was hot and tasteless (did they forget the vinegar?); if you can not make good sushi rice, that is a deal kill. Aji (usually my favorite) was fishy - old tasting. Sea perch was mushy and flavorless. Metal serving plate used by chef is permanently bent by heat (unsightly). Anago was fishy and had an odd texture. They had a menu to order more but why would I risk more disappointment? Stools are uncomfortable and they play terrible xmas musak.
