Roberta's New York Reviews
Great all around. Came off peak time and ordered a fresh Bee Sting as many have reviewed. It did not disappoint and this would be my go-to pizza many times! People around me were drinking and the drinks looked fantastic. I'm sure the rest of the food is great as well since my pizza was so good. Would love to come again and try a different pizza and any other foods. New York has so many good restaurants and I'm glad I found this one!
Nissaun was awesome! Great energy and hospitality. The Margharita pizza and fire and ice app were 10/10. The food was eaten already by the time I remembered to take a photo.
Camilla and Charles both delivered exceptional service at Roberta’s and really made our visit memorable. Camilla, who was working downstairs, was warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we walked in. Took care of us for our takeout order and offered great suggestions, and made sure everything flowed smoothly. Her friendly energy set the tone for a great take home meal. Upstairs, Charles provided equally outstanding service. He was professional, personable, and on top of every detail. He made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing, and his calm, confident approach added to the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. Together, they created a seamless and genuinely pleasant experience across both spaces. Big thanks to Camilla downstairs and Charles upstairs for top-notch hospitality—we’ll definitely be back.
Truly delicious pizza, and so nice that they have a midtown location! This particular location is neat because it’s up a few floors and offers a nice view. The menu features apps, pizzas, and some pasta - I wish there were more cocktail offerings, but the Aperol Spritz they were able to make me was just fine. 3 of us split 3 pizzas and a pasta. The Cacio e Pepe was absolutely delicious and I was quite surprised at how flavorful/saucy it was, as many places fail to perfect this dish. The pizzas were perfect, and the Cheesus Christ was my favorite - almost like Cacio e Pepe but in pizza form. The Famous Original is famous for a reason, and my non-vegetarian dining partners loved the Bee Sting. I see why Roberta’s is one of the city’s favorite pizzas!
We visited 12/31 3:30pm .. The gentleman at the bar was one of a kind. Genuine and down to earth. He recommended the bee sting pie and he could not have been more spot on . Delicious food. Amazing cocktails. Stellar service and an amazing impression! 11/10
Absolutely loved my most recent visit to Roberta's. I brought my entire family for the Thanksgiving holiday and was served by the amazing Bri. She couldn't have been more accomadating, knowledgable, and sweet. My entire family was raving about how they want to return when they visit next. Brussels pizza was phenomenal! So was the prosciutto appetizer. Can't wait to come back.
Had an absolutely amazing time tonight! It was my first time at this location and it was very busy tonight, but my waiter Brennan never faltered. My entire table felt very seen and attended to tonight. As per our waiter’s recommendation we had the dark matter, dirty devil martini, and a few wines; everything was amazing. Since it was so busy there was a tiny wait for food but it was well worth it! The bee sting pizza is something everyone should try at least once. Overall the experience was great but what really topped it off was the service from our waiter. Will definitely be back :)
Really delicious meal here. I had heard a lot about the pizza, so was excited to try it. However, the pizza was actually not the star of the meal. The stracciatella and anchovies was far and away the strongest item we had. The caesar salad was also phenomenal, but the cheese was amazing. The pizza was decent as well, but if we came back, we would likely lean on the appetizers more!
I met my friend in NYC, she was coming from Connecticut and I was coming from New Jersey and we stumbled apron Roberta’s at Penn Station. We were so happy we did, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left! Our server was Camilo, the food runner was Nisaun, the bar tender was Hadji, they made the experience even better everything was great! We had a small issues which was corrected immediately and we could not have been happier! When we were ready for our check Jema, not sure if she was the GM or AGM came out to make sure all was good! She was just as amazing as her staff! Please keep this staff, now a days good staff is so had to find, I know because I am constantly looking! It is so wonderful to eat at a restaurant where the staff is happy and like there jobs! Thank you for a great meal and experience! We will definitely be back soon!
Really enjoyed Roberta's next to MSG. Great location, great atmosphere. Want to come back and check out the outdoor patio are. Downstairs included grab and go slices and upstairs is the restaurant. Food was excellent from each of the pizzas we ordered, perfectly cooked burger, salads, meatballs and the bread with ricotta was real highlight. Overall impressed. Servers were very helpful with our birthday celebration but one in particular seemed a bit brash for no reason, maybe just a bad day so the knock for minus 1 Service star. Otherwise 5 star experience and excited to go back.
Roberta’s Pizza at Penny Station is such a hidden gem in New York! The location is super convenient, and the pizza… oh, the pizza is absolutely delicious — perfectly made, full of flavor, and with that authentic taste that wins you over right away. What I really love is the little details: they have a bathroom (which is rare around here!), and right outside there’s a lovely square where you can sit and enjoy your slice in the open air. It makes the whole experience even more charming, with that laid-back city vibe. It’s the kind of spot that combines convenience, amazing food, and a touch of charm in the atmosphere. A place I truly loved discovering and one that’s already on my list of must-stops! 🌿🍕
Roberta’s Penn Station is my go-to pizza stop. Crust always perfect, toppings 🔥, and the vibe just right even in the middle of the Penn rush. Big love to Chef Kayzer, Ossie & Hadji — you guys make it feel like home every time. If you’re passing through, this is the pizza you need in your life! The Tuna Carpaccio and the Heirloom Tomato just meltsz in your mouth. And don’t sleep on the cheeseburger — tender, juicy, cooked to perfection . Pasta? Absolutely AMAZING !
Jema is quite possibly, nay, is INDEED the finest host in NYC. This is not hyperbole. She was so gracious and welcoming. Helped us all relax and enjoy our time together. Service was excellent. Regret not getting our server's name but they were so kind and listened and accomodated all of our requests. Food rocked as we expected, just want to highlight how unexpectedly beyond the service and attention we received was! We had the Little Stinker Pizza, the Rosso(Vegan option), and the classic MARGHERITA! Didn't get pics of the greens salad, cucumbers or olives, but all beautifully presented and excellent taste, texture and so satisfying!
Great location especially if you are going to an event near MSG. Forgot pictures of the pizzas but they were really good. They are not huge pizzas but definitely big enough for the 2 of us. Salads are quite large to share and the grilled bread with the cheese is delicious Definitely a solid place to eat. They have an outdoor patio, indoor seating and a take out/ slice counter. It’s a bit pricey for a pizza/ pasta place but I guess it’s the location.
Tucked right next to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Robeta's offers pies and single slices. I was the first customer as they had just opened. I got two slices one pepperoni and one Margarita from the first bite the dough was cooked perfectly, the right amount of cheese and was super fresh. Definitely the best slice I had on my trip and will be my first trip on my next trip. The mural on the wall really elevated the place and gave it that Brooklyn Edge.
The service and the food was amazing. Very flavourful. We ordered 2 pizzas and drinks. Now, let’s talk about the vibe. The entrance is a quirky surprise; it looks like a small takeout pizza joint, so I almost thought I was lost. Turns out, the full restaurant is upstairs. You can take the elevator (which is decked out in fun decorations), or, if you’re up for some colorful chaos, walk up the staircase. The painted walls are an artistic riot, as shown in the photos I took and is seriously Instagram-worthy! The ambiance upstairs is perfect for a lively get-together with friends or family. Even the bathrooms are clean and thoughtfully decorated. Amazing service and atmosphere. If you’re near Penn Station and craving something special, make your way to Roberta’s.
Apps... marinated cucumbers are a staple. Olives were very good. Pizza was perfectly cooked, crumbled sausage was a little light but the pie was very tasty. Lite and fluffy crust. Highly recommend the straciatella with the house bread. The bread was warm and tasted amazing. Straciatella was perfectly prepared and like butter. Drinks were very good. Server took a long time to get the 2nd round but he comped it as a result. Would definitely recommend, great before an event at MSG.
We came in pretty early to take a break and figure out our plans before check-in. It was too early for a full meal (and I’m lactose intolerant), so we ordered coffees and drinks instead. It turned into a nice, relaxing time to catch up. The manager was very pleasant and didn’t mind us taking over a small section with our luggage, which made things so much easier.
This was my second time here because the first time I liked it, but this time I waited a long time for someone to take my order & for the food to arrive. Ordered a drink when my food arrived, I finished eating and I never got the drink. I asked for the check and told them to just cancel the drink. They had the nerve to question me if I was actually telling the truth about not receiving the drink. Not even an apology for the wait. I think their customer service could improve. I still left 20% tip but I definitely won’t recommend this place and sadly won’t come back.
