A low-key café in Chinatown. I grabbed an espresso macchiato for a quick caffeine boost, but the real standout was the tea selection. We shared a pot brewed with dates, longan, and goji berries - it was soothing, naturally sweet, and incredibly satisfying. The space is simple and spacious with plenty of tables and a bit of retro charm. A great place to work and unwind.

It is a good place to read while you're reading a book. It is quiet. They have a great menu with different kinds of tea and other infusions alternatives. I really love the Japanese rice tea

Nice spot to have a quick tea or coffee and chill out for a bit. I had some time to kill so I came in and had some iced lemon tea which was great.

I will always sing my praises to Silk Road Café. Objectively one of the best hidden secrets of Chinatown. The workers are lovely and sweet, the atmosphere is intimate and quiet, and the quality of the drinks is always outstanding.

Quaint spot , no frills, sweet and accommodating service. Good wifi too. I had a pot of jasmine tea while I got work done. I heard the lady at the front help everyone with a smile on her face. This place is a treasure and I’m glad I got to visit!

Cafe On popular Mott St. across a Catholic Church of Transfiguration in Chinatown of NYC. Serves gourmet coffee, waffles, smoothies & teas. Order, pay at counter, find a seat from an assortment of tables/chairs for 2,4 or 6, some bar stool height, food is perfectly warm, timely served to savour a unique Chinatown Experience. Ample servings of peanut butter waffle on porcelain-looking plate, disposable plastic fork and knife, Coffee in thermal paper cup, for decent price.Universal restroom, neat and well kept, reflective of decent patrons & respect for hygiene & property. values. Parking may be a challenge. Not suggested for toddlers or large wheelchair users, due to narrow door entrance.

My favorite matcha ordered to date. Coming from your neighborhood matcha fiend, this matcha was incomparable to any matcha I’ve ever made or bought anywhere. I got it lightly sweetened with honey (which I don’t normally do) and it was just such a perfect matcha. Very reasonable prices for a coffee/ tea shop of this caliber and experience. Side note: matcha is not on their menu, you have to ask!

This is a very interesting cafe, that has a general seating area next to the coffee bar and gaming towards the back of the building. A pleasant selection of specialty teas and coffees and side dishes. Their coffee with foam milk and a sugar substitute — out-of-this-world! Located on the ever popular Mott Street venue, it’s a great spot for Asian students to come to, to get their homework assignments done. Definitely recommended.

I loooooove this place so much! It reminds me of tea shops in Taiwan. 🤗 The staff is super nice and it’s the best place to chill and get some work done. The tea is always amazing!

Unexpected finds sometimes are the best! We walked in for coffee in the morning and were charmed by the little place. Big choice of coffees and teas. We also had delicious pork dumplings. Definitely recommend this quiet place in the heart of Chinatown

Ordered a lemon tea iced, and went in expecting a black tea with lemon and got this drink, which I surprisingly ended up enjoying a lot! Kinda tasted more like lemonade than tea but still very refreshing on this hot day. Also, excellent prices for Manhattan. We got this and an iced coffee for less than $10. Enjoyed the choice of a colored straw!:)

In the mood for a pleasant and restful coffee break while shopping and sightseeing in NYC’s Chinatown? Then the Silk Road Café is the perfect place to relax while observing the busy hustle and bustle outside on Mott Street. The interior is a lovely, open space with large tables with modern and asian decor. Western style coffee is served, as well as a full range of teas, pastries and bagels. Truly a genuine New York gem.

Fantastic place! Great environment, nice jazz music playing at a moderate volume, perfect to sit down to chat with a friend or to work on your computer. Super tasty bubble teas and the waffles were amazing. Great customer service too.

We loved this place! Tea is really delicious (try different mixes prepared on the spot) , but be aware that you will not get your ginger tea if the waitress doesn't like ginger 🙄🤣

High quality tea with a lot of variety - but often very crowded!

Cute cafe that is a nice spot to sit after a lot of walking in the summer heat. We used to come here when we lived in NYC, before there were so many boba shops and cafes everywhere. Now, there are too many options, but we had good memories here.

The coconut silkaccino is so good, I’m gonna come back here everytime I’m in the area. The barista was also extremely sweet.

It's a really cool spot to grab a coffee, pasties or even smoothies. They have so many options! They also have a back area for gaming (card base, but they might have more options)

Nice ambience, good coffee, te selection. Relaxed music. Only be aware that if you want a “real” cup instead the “to go” cup let them know in advance…..
