Old style yet updated fancy Italian restaurant. The bread basket is award winning. The oysters were excellent, so was the sea bream entry. The lemon cake and the apple cake were both sublime. Excellent wine selection.

What a lovely experience to end my trip in New York in this restaurant. Kinda of these restaurant. You cannot rate the food because it’s over the rate, the hospitality and the vibes. It’s WORTH to visit. for me the dessert. It’s hilarious and crazy. We got honey travel with ice cream. I cannot describe this. It’s soo good.

This is a bit of a discovery. An excellent lunch place. Not far from The Frick and the Met and the Neue Gallery. The food is really top class but you will be paying top dollar. A glass of wine is $25-$30. The main courses at lunch will set you back $30-$50. Appreciate it is expensive but above spot in Manhattan.

A pricey establishment for sure but you get an equal quality. The staff were very attentive throughout our dinner. The food portions were large but also delicious. The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable regarding the dishes. I would highly recommend this place for a date or a celebration. My only complaint, if it can even be called one, was the special list was so long I lost track of it after the 7th dish. (Kudos to the waiter for remembering it all)

We were seated quickly despite not having a reservation on a Friday night in December (I know, I know.) Dinner was superb and the service top notch, especially the sommelier, Nester. Highly recommend.

I've walked by a dozen times and we finally made it. It was amazing. Atmosphere is sophisticated with old world charm. Interior decor has beautiful unique artwork and touches. Cocktails on point. The prosciutto and melon app was so flavorful! Pastas: Busiate & Mafaldine with Nduja were Aces. But the number one favorite standout for me was the veal scaloppine... Next level best I've ever had. It's pricey but worth it for a nice lunch or dinner out. Absolutely recommend and will be back.

Still the best in NYC if not the world. WOW!!! Best food, best Chef, best servers and BEST Hostesses in town still #1 Restaurant in the USA for sure. Our reviews had over 57 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Sistina. Went 12 times in the last 12 months, all were different all were the best. Menu had changed somewhat but once again every single dish was spectacular. Be sure to get the fried Zucchini App. Really great. I got the spicy sausage with crinkly pasta as a special and it was really good and not too spicy. She got the spaghetti and tomato sauce (not on the menu) and once again it was the best in town. The tomato sauce is very bright and jumps on your tongue with flavor. Her app was smoked Mozzarella and prosciutto and tomatoes which she loved and I got the soup special. Always get the soups, they are spectacular. Lemon coconut cake was great as was the special dessert of black cherry semifreddo. For Fox Business fans Charlie Gasperano was at the table next to us with some billionaires and all of them were very nice to us when I mentioned we enjoyed his shows. LATER REVIEW: Had 3 pastas and all were supper. 3 new special desserts and a all were off the charts. This place is the best. WE WENT 3 MORE TIMES. EACH TIME WAS AWESOME. I BRING A PEN SO I CAN WRITE DOWN ALL OF THE SPECIALS. DESSERTS WERE TO DIE FOR. BE SURE TO GET THE PASTA TRAPANSE, ONE OF THE BEST PASTA DISHES IN THE CITY. The Lobster pasta has so much lobster in it I could barely finish it and it is done perfectly with tomato sauce. She had the risotto which is heavy and large should could easily be a shared dish. I LOVE soup so I had 3 different kinds. All were awesome. Top notch all the way. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 56 million views so far this year and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN. If we do a review it is because we love it.

Love NYC, usually stay midtown when visiting but wanted to try a different upper end restaurant that wasn’t a tourist trap and this restaurant is a gem. Service was worth the $$$$ alone. Everything was taken care of and we were impressed with the chef’s dishes and passion he puts into the food.

Dined Sistina today for a special occasion meal. We've wanted to try this restaurant for a while now, and our first visit lived up to everyone's expectations! Every dish we had today was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We ate in the main dining room but thought the bar area looked very nice too for more of a casual but still sophisticated dining experience. While expensive, we'll definitely be returning to Sistina. This is one of the nicest restaurants on the Upper East or West Side of Manhattan. We all highly recommend it here!

13/10 for everything - the staff is deeply knowledgeable and friendly, even the bread and butter brought to you before anything else is amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful - kind of an interesting mix decor wise, with flowers everywhere. There is an extensive list of specials from which we ordered a pesto pasta dish, as well as an extensive list of wines and cocktails. I brought my mom here, and she said it became her favorite restaurant in the city. Will definitely be returning.

A restaurant that truly makes you feel like $1Million Bucks' The service is outstanding. You will feel like you own the place , everyone is so nice and welcoming. Atmosphere is truly one of a kind, very beautiful restaurant. Food was top notch. I had this Salomon special with mushrooms. Was arguably the best Salmon I ever had (only restaurant that competes is ABC Kitchen) This restaurant is not cheap, whatever your bill is , I promise it is worth it.

The salt-crusted Bronzino & grilled vegetables were tender & delicious. Bread selection is excellent. The oysters were very fresh. However, the suckling pig was slightly overcooked, & the green apple puree didn’t have the tartness I was hoping for. Service is impeccable. 🐟

I enjoyed a high-quality 4-star visit to Sistina. The service was the highlight at 4 stars, while both the food and atmosphere provided a dependable 3-star environment for a great dinner.

I had a lovely lunch here with my mother in law. I chose a fancy place for my birthday that was walkable from her apartment. Our food was delicious; my fried artichokes were amazing, soft hearts and crispy leaves in a yummy cheese sauce. Better than in the Jewish ghetto of Rome! Her lasagna was good too. The back skylit room was beautiful. However, our host attempted to seat us in the empty front room before noticing our displeasure. The servers were professional but not warm or friendly. And they made us feel ignored compared to what appeared to be a room full of regulars all much older than us (and we are 60 and 80 lol). I wondered why I was never here with my own parents who lived nearby and now know why; stuffy (not hip modern or fun) overpriced and not as fabulous as the staff thinks.

I loved all the artwork in this restaurant! It’s very beautiful but also quirky. The waiters are so sweet and they really want to make sure you are having a good time, they are really fun and attentive. The food is so good too, I had the fettuccine and asparagus soup. The truffle butter is amazing. And the shouffle is wonderful. The only reason I gave it one less star is because I think it’s way too expensive for the meal but still it was a wonderful experience

Had a wonderful dinner just last week. The food was delicious, presented with elegance. The service was impeccable and with the right degree of friendliness. The atmosphere was, as usual, my favorite cup of tea... white table cloth, sufficient space between tables, and a muted noise level. Yes, it is on the more expensive side, but it's worth treating yourself!

The bread TRULY is the best bread you’ll ever have, especially paired with the truffle butter👌🏾. The service is A1.:: the drinks are really good too, at least the first round was, same drink second round was a miss. I do wish they would offer adding protein to selected pasta dishes, but the menu is the menu and you cannot alter it as you like. That is a bummer. Good place overall.

The food was very good, but the waitress was incredibly rude and classist. I understand the dress code. After walking so much all afternoon, I was starving. The waitress gave us a dirty look, scrutinized us from head to toe, and made us look at the menu to make sure we had the money to pay. It wasn't expensive, but it was unpleasant. My family just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

I have been going to Sistina for many years on 2nd avenue and the food was always great. My experience lastnight was less than great as the food took forever to come out and the portions were very small and the pasta was very salty. I am not sure who is running the kitchen these days but Sistina is not the same restaurant that i went too many years on 2nd ave and when i asked to see Giuseppe who i know for many years, he never made it to my table. The restaurant is beautiful in decor and the bar looks great w nice drinks, but the food is lacking and they need to step it up in my opinion and my guests for the money charged. Also the processing fee for credit cards is ridiculous. Never seen that before in a fine restaurant

I asked my waiter what was their more flavorful menu item, their rabbit or their roast suckling pig. He said it was the rabbit, so I ordered the rabbit ($55). I found that it had no flavor whatsoever. Their bread sticks, their various other breads, and their black truffle butter had pleasing tastes. The restaurant's decor and an extremely nice window view of greenery just outside the restaurant were very pleasing. The restaurant is on 81st Street, very close to 5th Avenue. The service was not as attentive as it should be for the very high food prices they charge, along with a 3% credit card use fee if you choose to use one. The waiters were impressively dressed in blue suits.

I recently dined at Sistina and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. The passionfruit ricotta cheesecake was a standout dessert, light yet rich in flavor. I also really enjoyed the fresh bread with truffle butter and the bone marrow, which were both highlights of the meal. That said, with entrées priced at $60–$75, appetizers at $35–$45, and cocktails ranging from $20–$40, the overall menu is priced on par with restaurants that hold two or even three Michelin stars. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t deliver at that level. While nothing was bad, it simply didn’t feel as refined or memorable as the price point would suggest. Overall, a nice experience thanks to the great service and a few delicious bites, but I personally didn’t feel the food justified the premium pricing.

Salad was good, but the pasta dishes were salty. Also the waiter open second bottle of sparkling water without asking. We did not drink this at all and being charged. This was not a good service. Will not return again.

Overpriced mediocre food paired with bumbling pretentious waiters. We dined on a weekend night and were one of the only tables. There’s a reason it’s so easy to get a table- we can’t wait for a better restaurant to take over the space.

Terrible service! I have been going here for the past 10 years couples of times a year. Today service was horrendous. They placed a brass metal string into my daughter pasta. Not a hair! A metal hair from probably cleaning left over. They gave a new pasta 30’min later. No apologies from manager. Waiter said there is nothing he can do. Please save your time and go to a bigger and better run restaurant instead of the this neighborhood place. They charge 75-100 per plate. There are plenty of a better run restaurants instead of this place.

I made a dinner reservation over the phone. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a few hours before due to illness. I was never informed of any cancelation fee during the call. Despite this, I was later charged $200 without my authorization or prior warning. I called immediately to explain the situation and spoke to Antonio. He was understanding and said we wouldn't want you to come in sick and if you rebook within the next week, we will offer you a $200 credit. I agreed. He said he will confirm with the owner and call me back. The next day someone else called and revoked that offer. Charging customers without disclosing terms is not acceptable. I have been a loyal customer and have recommended Sistina to many others. I am in shock and disappointed. Won't be returning
