Today I ordered salmon Choo Chee for the first time. The fish portion was very large, and the curry had a fragrant, herbal flavor. Considering the price, it was excellent value for money. Recommend!!!

This was my first time ordering from Thai 4 Thought, and it won’t be my last. I was immediately greeted by the friendliest employee (possibly the owner?) I should’ve gotten her name she exuded the best energy. She even gave me some Thai Iced Tea to try while I waited for my order. I got the Lunch special Pad See Ew with tofu. So fragrant, chewy, and delicious. And the portion size is great.

Mona was absolutely lovely. She treated me like a grandson as soon as I walked in and even let me stay for a while, as the heat was blazing outside. She also refilled my water bottle. When it comes to the food I got the fried chicken with fried rice, which also came with a salad. The Thai iced tea was really refreshing and the mango sticky rice was also tasty. All this came out to around $30 total. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Stumbled upon this cute no frills spot with the friendliest staff. The owners were super sweet and make you feel right at home. The menu had all types of dishes from drunken noodles (one of my favorites) to green curry with your choice of veggies or meat. I’m a lover of Thai food and have been to Thailand many times and when I say their dishes are authentic, trust me! All of the sweet, sour, umami notes just hits the spot if you know what I mean. So happy to have Thai For Thought join this wonderful neighborhood filled with food from all over the world. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Thai food, check this place out! You won’t be disappointed.

Great hidden gem for lunch. Real full-size portions and homemade for only $12.50. One of the best deals in the east village.

At Thai for thought, the joy of eating is not just in the food, but in the warmth and connection you feel the moment you step in. Just like sharing a hearty meal in Togo, this restaurant brings people together with its cozy atmosphere and welcoming smiles. I started with their famous Tom Yum Soup, an explosion of spice that awakens your taste buds like the first bite of a delicious Togo stew. The Kra pow was delightful, each bite reminding me of how the simplest ingredients can be transformed into something extraordinary. And don’t miss the chicken noodle soup —rich, fragrant, and full of heart. The service was attentive and thoughtful, just like the hospitality we value at home. The staff made sure we felt cared for, without rushing us through the experience. If you want to experience food that brings people together, Here is the place to be. It’s not just a meal—it’s a celebration of flavor and community.

Cute little Thai spot with fast service and tasty food. My friend and I got the massaman curry and tom yum soup and both were great. This place is definitely catered towards takeout orders, but there is some cozy seating both in and outdoors. The price is pretty cheap for the area, definitely a place to keep in mind.

Very yummy Thai food, the service was so fast, and the restaurant is cozy. The prices are reasonable as well. Beware that the restaurant space is pretty small.

Very generous portions, and extremely tasty food. Was surprised by the price, but having been to other Thai places in the area, I’m leaving with a belly full of food made with love. 10/10. No notes.

Food is scrumptious, it’s hot, spicy, savory! The keemao (drunken man noodles) are super good with the right spice and soft noodle texture! The pad Thai was also amazing! Come during lunch for $12 entrees!! Portions look bigger than the pictures! (The inside is a little smaller than other stores and can only fit 3 tables)

With so many Thai restaurants in the city, it is good to find one that is authentic. The food is fantastic and the price is great. You can’t ask for more. This just became my goto place for Thai in NY.

Thai basil was perfection. They actually add the perfect amount of basil 🌿 and that is difficult to find at any Thai place. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor speaks for itself. You will be back and it will serve as a basis for comparison.

food is always great and inexpensive. It’s a small comfy spot. Monna is always been super sweet and helpful whenever I come in. Just be sure to use to restroom before as there is not one here. But everything else gets 5 stars!

i don't usually leave reviews but i love this place so much and come here pretty often as someone who lives nearby :) love the tom yum soup, thai iced tea, pad thai, and crab rangoon! those are always in my rotation of small munches to get when i drop by here. never disappoints me (although if i had to nitpick at anything, prices can be high for the portions you get... but it is NYC after all so i don't blame them entirely)

The staff is so kind and helpful. They were very accommodating my request for vegan options and were careful to verify details to help me feel comfortable which I really appreciate. The food is delicious, fresh and flavorful and I’ve been many time!

Just dropped in for a quick lunch, but can confirm the Pad Thai in this tiny spot is a cut above many renditions in Manhattan: well-balanced & tamarind-forward, not overly sweet, tender chicken and a good portion. Note, lunch special only includes the entree - no spring roll, salad etc. Very limited seating - just four adjacent 2-tops. Sweet service, would go back.
