Yugo Ramen is a popular spot known for its fresh seafood ramen with large shrimp and scallops, and flavorful chicken karaage. The staff is consistently praised for being friendly and providing fast service. Some find the ramen bowls cool the soup too quickly and the broth lacking depth.

Yugo Ramen Newark Reviews
The overall experience was good. The service was super fast. They were able to deliver the food within a couple of minutes. The staff was super friendly as well and helped me out to choose the right items and able to recommend based on my vegetarian preferences. They also gave me a free kimchi sample. The food was great. I had ordered seaweed for starters and vegetable ramen for main course. For vegetarian people it has limited items but those were great.
Super cute interior and the food is amazing!! I always get the Salmon bowl or the signature Yugo Ramen. My partner always craves the Beef Sukiyaki bowl! They’ve added new appetizers to the menu like fried oysters and a cucumber salad which are some new favorites. Highly recommend and the space is perfect for any get togethers or parties!
We ordered from the catering menu which was very worth its price getting the Pork fried Rice, Edamame and Chicken Karage! The service was also very delightful with lots of recommendations and kindness.
Ramen restaurant with a lowkey-ish upstairs location. Their menu also includes plenty of shareables, donburi (rice bowls), and boba/alcoholic drinks. Price is standard for what we ordered. I enjoyed my shio ramen (R2) and found the flavor/quality to be expected (similar to most local ramen places I've tried). My favorite part of visiting this restaurant is probably the interior design--it's a stylish, modern spot for dates and hangouts.
Everything is good here. I like the fried chicken, it tastes good and juicy. Ramen is pretty good as well, but the bowl is pretty thick which cools the noodles and soup temperature a bit quick. It will be excellent if they can warm bowl up before they put ramen into it. Overall it’s a good place to have a lunch or dinner.
This is actually my second time dining here. The food is really good here along with the atmosphere! I don’t often eat ramen, but as of now, this is my go to. The staff are friendly to me. It’s located at Newpark Mall specifically at the area where Jack’s Restaurant & Bar and Vinum is. They pretty much serve appetizers, boba, and lunch offers. When I ordered to go, they were really fast, but for some reason, they take longer as usual. I guess that they’re prioritizing people who ordered to go. Anyways, I’ll be trying other dishes when I come back!
I ordered seafood ramen. The seafood were fresh and the shrimps & scollops were very big! The ramen amount is a little less than I expected but the seafood qualities were the best I have ever had! My fiancé ordered chicken katsu don and it’s also good! We like the rice with fried eggs & sauce toppings. The chicken portion were big as well! Highly recommend! I ordered guava green tea after my meal. The tea is good but there’s no guava favor in it. Their drink comes with a free topping. So overall I had a positive experience here.
Loved this restaurant. Delicious food. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Decor is beautiful. Reasonably priced menu. Couldn't have asked for more. Chicken katsu and ramen were amazing. Definitely try their kimchi. We would definitely visit again.

Really good restaurant and great staff. Food came out fast and great taste. Right by the movies
Stopped by for lunch on Saturday. We got shoyu ramen, special yugo ramen, and chicken karage. All delicious and fresh. The broth wasn't too salty where you feel like you will lose a kidney if drinking the bowl. Friendly staff. Service waa prompt.
I don’t normally review places but we ordered the salmon teriyaki bowl and my jaw was on the floor at the portion size of the salmon. It was delicious and the skin was perfectly crispy. I was so pleasantly surprised at how much salmon we got. The place is clean the vibe is great and the staff are very kind!!
As other vegetarians mentioned, its a hidden gem indeed! Vegetable Ramen is the only option for us though. It tastes ok with no spice. You can order spicy paste on the side and add how much ever you want. One spicy paste side can be used for 3-4 folks.
November 1, 2025: Day 2 of my Halloween adventure ended at this restaurant and thank goodness it did. I love ramen, but the servers made the experience even better. My son, my nephew, and I drove all the way to Newpark to attend Fear Overload. For the price, it was fine, but the travel? I wouldn’t suggest, we came all the way from San Francisco. Either way, we had only 35 minutes left to eat at Yugo, and I thought we were going to be turned away. Thankfully, we were welcomed in and allowed to eat and enjoy some tea. The waitress mentioned they closed at 9:00 p.m., it was around 8:25 p.m., but we decided to take our chances. The tea arrived quickly, within about 3 minutes, and the ramen followed just eight minutes later. It took us about 20 minutes to finish our meal, and we enjoyed every bite. One of the waitresses even took the time to show my nephew how to use chopsticks, which I thought was very kind. My son has known how to use them since he was six, thanks to a kind South Korean lady we met during our travels. I wanted to thank the restaurant again for allowing us to dine while they were closing. These are the small acts of kindness that help build a sense of community.

Nice place in the mall serving up delicious bowls of ramen. We got the signature Yugo ramen, the shio ramen, and the vegetarian ramen. The Yugo was not the best ramen I’ve ever had as it lacked the depth of flavor and the chashu pork wasn’t seasoned properly. The vegetarian ramen was much more flavorful and complex, definitely one of the better vegetarian ones I’ve had!
Spotlight: Chicken Karaage. It was tender and succulent. Really nice! The service was good where you could feel their passion. However, the authenticity of the ramen was a bit short; I’d say it was a flavor more acceptable to American customers.
I had a wonderful experience at Yugo Ramen. The broth was well balanced. The noodles were firm and well tempered. The sides were well prepared. The sweet glaze used on the takoyaki and fries made an interesting mixture of tastes and textures I wasn't expecting. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd take my family here for dinner.

Good Ramen place. Prices are reasonable. One serving of ramen is big, so order only if very hungry or share with someone. Ramen broth and taste is very good.

It's great to have a new ramen option in Fremont, and Yugo gets a lot right. The restaurant itself is modern and clean, with a pleasant atmosphere that’s surprisingly nice considering its in the dead nepark mall. The service was a real standout – our servers were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The ramen is the main event, and it shows promise. We tried the Yugo Special and the Miso Ramen; in both, the broth was rich and the ajitama (seasoned egg) was perfectly cooked. However, a couple of key items missed the mark for us, especially considering the price. The chashu pork was rather bland and not very tender. The bigger letdown was the Okonomiyaki Fries. It’s a creative idea, but the execution involved thick, unseasoned fries covered in an overwhelmingly sweet sauce. We found we couldn't finish them. Yugo has a great foundation with its atmosphere, service, and ramen broth. I'd recommend sticking to the classic ramen bowls and passing on some of the sides.
The service was very good. I did not care for the food at all. It did not have much taste or quality. I tried to octopus balls for an appetiser and two different ramens. Chicken Ramen edible but not excellent.

The milk tea was super watery, with no tea flavor at all. The boba was fine, though. Please let me know once it’s improved, I’d be happy to come back and try it again. Really looking forward to having good boba tea here!!!
