Massimo's Fremont Reviews
Went here for a business dinner. Professional service and very reasonable price. The drinks were on point and my NY Steak was cooked to perfection. For a tiramisu for desert and that hit the spot as well. Overall recommend this place.
Wonderful wonderful everything was great! Highly recommended we had our company Holiday dinner there and it was everyone's 1st time and the food was amazing!! The decor beautiful, customer service was awesome the even coordinator and owner made sure it all went smooth we all had a great time! Thank you! (See you next year!)
Everything about this wonderful place is five stars ~ from the comforting flavors of 3 Michellin star Chef Massimo Bottura , to the welcoming face of our server, Sunny, to the soothing, recessed lighting surrounding cozy booths. It's so reasonably priced, too that we can come every month: especially because if you come in January for your red envelope: two years in a row now we've gotten the "one free appetizer a month," which is just what we wanted ~ something to bring us back to this family restaurant month after month. Massimo's isn't just a restaurant to me: it's like a vacation to Italy, a retreat from the stresses of life, a romantic getaway, and memories of sitting around the family table with all of my Italian relatives making and eating delicious food, all wrapped into one. I love this place so much. Thank you to everyone here for all that you consistently do.
Only our second time at Massimo's but we'll be back for many years to come. They went above and beyond for our parents 75th birthdays and made it such a special night for our family. And the food and ambiance with the live music was the chefs kiss.
If your looking for great service and Food JAIME the waiter WOW GREAT SERVICE. The best dinner Service & Drink so Far this month. I usually sit at the bar, today it did not disappoint I sat the Larger tables they are elegant very classy seating New & upholstered.Thank You Jaime and staff ..
Wow wow wow wow, this place is amazing. We had a 50/50 shot at having Italian, on one side of the street was Massimo's and the other side Olive garden. Thank goodness we chose Massimo's. What an amazing place. The ambience, the service, the food come with a live music this place is a great place to take a client to take your significant other, we had such a good time. We ordered the bolognese, Petrale Sole, drinks and Sorbet All of which was incredibly tasty, hot and enjoyable. The service is incredible, our waiter was just amazingly attentive, watched our table recognize when we needed something he was there Johnny on the spot, the food was incredible, they had live music which just really set the tone for the whole night. Highly recommend you check Massimo's out, we will definitely be going back. 5 out of 5 stars. Can't wait to go back and have the bananas fosters made out our table.
Extraordinary dining experience our check in with Fara without a reservation made us feel welcome and her friendly demeanor sat us at a great table with an excellent waiter David. He said there we're only 2 prime rib dinners available we thankfully said sounds perfect. The prime rib was a generous portion, seasoned and cooked to perfection. We ordered thei limoncello cake with carmel topping for dessert absolutely delightful. We hane prime rib left overs for lunch. Last time I dined there was +20 years our new ho to.
Haven’t been back to dine in since the pandemic started - they’ve made changes to the decor, there’s now open spaces between the bar and dining room which brings a nice lively environment to the dining room. Ordered table side Caesar salad 🥗, I’m a huge fan of dinner and a show items like this, this style of showmanship has been going away over the years in many restaurants and I was glad to see that they were still performing it!! Bananas foster isn’t being offered any longer :( but wouldn’t take away any points on the rating due to this. Had calamari steaks (reminded me of a all time favorite dish of mine scalone steaks (scallops & abalone) with delicious mash potatoes and fresh green beans with carrots & clams and pasta (their were a ton of clams on this dish it was delicious!!) When we were done and got the check, we scanned the QR code on the check and we were able to pay via Apple Pay!! Service was fantastic, Food was delicious, Company amazing!! Stay Safe out there and God Bless
One of the perks of traveling all of the time is getting to try some amazing restaurants - and this one did not disappoint! Nice ambiance, excellent service, of and the food was pretty amazing too. We started with the Seafood Louis Salad. My host had the Chicken Marsala and I stole more than one taste. But Scallop Risotto is one of my favorite dishes and this one may be one of the best I have tried.
Tiramisu (4.5/5): soft delectable texture and great flavor and presentation overall. It was topped with a white sauce that was a bit too sweet, but the chocolate sauce was a nice change from cocoa powder. Chicken picatta(4/5): Risotto was nice and el dente. The chicken was also nicely flavored and relatively soft. The veggies specifically the broccoli and romanesco were a too tough.
Massimo’s Restaurant in Fremont is a well-known local favorite that’s been serving the community for years. It’s centrally located, making it a convenient option for both weeknight dinners and special occasions. One of its strong points is the ample parking — a welcome relief in the busy Fremont area. The food at Massimo’s is solid and satisfying. With two drinks, one appetizer, and two entrees coming to around \$120 before tip, it’s moderately priced for a sit-down meal with good portions. The menu leans classic American and Italian, with reliable staples like steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes. The cocktails are well-prepared, and the appetizer selections, though not adventurous, are flavorful and well-executed. Where Massimo’s falls short is in ambience. While the restaurant is clean and well-kept, the décor and overall atmosphere feel a bit dated and lack the charm or energy of trendier spots. Still, it’s clear that locals appreciate its consistency, friendly service, and familiar menu. If you’re looking for a no-fuss dining experience with quality food and easy access, Massimo’s is a dependable choice. It may not wow you with style, but it delivers on comfort, convenience, and hometown appeal.
my wife and I came here for the first time to celebrate an anniversary. we made a reservation. the hostess was initially going to sit us in the lounge area. seriously, why would we make a reservation if we wanted to sit in the lounge with TVs going🤦🏻♂️? Easy to resolve cause the place wasn't busy. It's a very nice place. Our server was good and food came out at a good pace. For Italian it's a bit pricey but overall ok. My wife and I both had the specials. the lasagna for her and halibut for me.and we shared the soup. we'd likely come again but it's certainly not an itch if you get my meaning.
Went here for dinner on a Friday evening. We had a prior reservation and hence did not have to wait a lot. The place is much bigger from the inside than what seems from the outside and has good separated dining spots for groups. We ordered a couple bottles of Kaiken "Terroir Series" Malbec and started with their Baked Garlic Bread and Fried Zucchini. For our mains, we ordered Fettuccini Carbonara, Crab and Spaghetti, Cedar Planked Salmon, Chicken Breast Marsala and Fettuccine Primavera. Food was delicious and each dish had its own distinct taste. Pastas were good too. Will go here again soon.
My first time here despite having been in Fremont for quite sometime. So the experience here starts right at the door with the nice ambiance and interior. Next up was the host and she was super nice. She got us the table and checked in on my kid brother. She asked how his school went and what he learned. That was an excellent touch and probably the best part of the entire visit. Next up was the service and the food. Now the food was good. I can’t say it was great but it was pretty good. And for the price they are charging the portion size was pretty decent as well. Now moving on to the negatives. First of all we got the bread and butter after getting our appetizer. The second issue was the slow service. At one point we were ready to pack our food and order some dessert and the server just didn’t show up for around 15 mins. The entire dinner from getting table to paying the bill took around 1 and half hour, maybe a bit longer. This was a problem as my kid brother had to get back and finish his homework and get to bed since it was a school night. Overall I feel it’s a decent place with some room for improvement. I definitely plan on coming back after sometime to possibly try a few different items on the menu.
Service is ok but doesn’t fit the upscale vibe. The servers were rushing and not being very polite. The employees were talking and laughing loudly amongst each other. I think encouraging everyone to act more politely would go a long ways. The food was pretty good. I got the halibut and it was cooked well.
Had a reservation but still waited 45 min for a table. Filet and new york strip steaks were good not great. Mashed potatoes were warm and hard on the outside. Deserts were fair. Creme Brule topping was barely caramelized even though we asked the wattress to do this. The whipped cream on all the dessert tasted like it was made with sour milk. We told the waitress who went to the kitchen and then came back and said that it was bad! Despite this, there was no adjustment on the bill. We had 5 adults and one child and still paid almost $80 a piece.
3 of us had dinner here and all 3 dishes in addition to my Salad were drenched in sauce and cheese! My Wedge Salad’s lettuce had so much Blue Cheese on it that was dry! I had the burger which was served w Cold fries from a frozen bag! Fries were not from fresh potatoes! Our server was also ill prepared to answer the most basic questions about the menus! He also charged 3 of our credit cards with another Table’s bill and rudely ripped off the paperwork when we asked him to cancel the charges! He should have left the paperwork at the table! We now have to check w the credit card companies to see if the charges were indeed reversed or not! Would not return for the over-priced food and can’t recommend the place for service either!
