The Purple Elephant Northport Reviews
The purple elephant is awesome! Lots of health conscious options. Their non alcoholic cocktail options are fantastic! They have the best nachos I've ever had in my life, the food is high quality and the atmosphere is so much fun! I've been coming here on a regular basis for years and it just keeps getting better!
The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food was very good and the atmosphere was very nice. I would go back. P.S. try the chocolate avocado mousse. It is fantastic!! Update: I went again this past Sunday, and our server was a lovely young lady, Kristine. She was very kind ,attentive, helpful and friendly. My wife and I were very happy with her professionalism, and of course the great food. Unfortunately I went back, and the service and food was mediocre. That server Kristine was no longer there, which was a shame. The servers were not up to par. They cared more about talking to each other than scanning for their customer needs. I hope they can correct these issues.
2nd time visting this place while on a trip to long Island. Delicious vegan food. Nachos were great. Staff was welcoming and our server was on point. Highly recommended
I have eaten at the Purple Elephant a handful of times and absolutely love the feel of the restaurant and the amazing menu items. The food is always fresh and it is a perfect place for people with different food preferences/needs to share a meal. The vegan options are plentiful and delicious (I drive 40 minutes just for their food). I wish there was another location on the south shore because I would eat there weekly!
>Be me >Order "the gringo" off the menu >Enjoy "the gringo" >Look up the definition of "gringo" >Look in the mirror 10/10 would order again.
I love all the vegan food. Everything is so good and I have tried many items.
I was trying out new healthy spots and I was glad I found this one. I had their vegan Grain Bowl for lunch which was not boring at all like the food sometimes is at other healthy places. I loved it so much, I kept coming back for it and I wondered why was I wasting my time going elsewhere. I can't wait to try more items on their menu as I love the whole concept of this restaurant.
We go every other week to purple elephant and drive 40 mins to get here - why ? Because their food is not only delicious but healthy - they are very consistent and use high quality ingredients- the staff cares and if I had to say people that try it once and don’t get it may need to re try it… your body just feels great after eating here ? Why no bad oils no bad gmo food no hormones no additives but fresh ingredients- the proof is health and the way you feel afterwards - always full of energy and great moods / it’s like doing your taste buds right and your health - the moose made with avocado and coco - always a treat at the end - looking forward to going back
Had a delicious birthday meal on the outdoor deck. Everything was delicious. Desserts served now May 2025) are different than what is listed on their website.
Very unusual menu. Vegan friendly. Great tasting food! You can enjoy your meal on their outside deck overlooking one of Northport's beautiful marinas. Well worth the trip!
Vegan and conventional food options that are sure to satisfy everyone. You can go in casual attire or dress up a bit for a date. Always a good special on the menu. Good portion sizes for entrees appetizers are smaller we usually get 2 apps for 2 people.
great variety of options, nice unique dishes, and good setting
We had dinner there tonight and I can say I have never experienced food that was so healthy that tased so good before. They are amazing and I highly recommend them.
Would definitely eat here again. Friendly servers, mostly fresh, whole foods with vegan options. Decent music. Cute environment.
First time. Greeted and treated nice. My wife is vegan. I'm gluten-free and lactose intolerance. Our meals were delicious 😋. We could only order appetizers due to us only having about less than an hour in the area. She ordered the Mac n cheese and I had the cauliflower wings. OMG!! We are definitely going back. Excellent. Loved the vibe!!!
This restaurant is so vegan friendly with incredible options. I enjoyed the Buffalo cauliflower wings, sandwhiches, Thai wrap, etc. I can’t wait to support this place again!
I absolutely ADORE this place! Before I lived in the area, I would take the hike up just to come here. In the shadow of the behemoth that is The Whale's Tale, you could easily walk right by this place and not even realize. DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE. This place may have a much smaller footprint, but the food is wildly good. Atmosphere: The place has a really relaxed surfer vibe that's instantly inviting. They have a small amount of seating, but having outdoor seating overlooking the water is great in the summer. Staff: Every time I've come here, the staff has been the sweetest. They're quick and know the menu in and out, so if you don't know what to order, they always give great recommendations. Food/Drink: And here it is. The Purple Elephant's shining star. their food. They have great light Latin foods with TONS of vegan/vegetarian options. I get the worst cravings for their buffalo cauliflower and refuse to order that dish anywhere else because I know no place will ever stack up. It's that good. Overall Impression: Go here. Just go. Then go again because you're hooked.
An excellent option for parties with and without vegetarians and vegans. There is something for everyone on the menu. My favorite is the buffalo cauliflower salad. The drink menu has nice cocktails and also NA drinks. The scenery is lovely especially if you catch a sunset from the back patio!
I've been here a couple times already and the menu is impressive. I keep ordering the coconut shrimp and it does hit the spot. The cauliflower appetizers are delicious
Every time I eat here, my reaction is that I don't go here often enough. My wife and I met friends here a few weeks ago. Two of us were on purely vegan diets. The menu's excellent selection of both vegan and "standard" food gave us all great selections. I have to specifically cite the Vegan Mac & Cheese, with vegan sausages, as a highlight of our meal. It was absolutely delicious and I'm sure we could have consumed an entire order per person. Everything else was also superb. On top of that, our friends arrived late and we were concerned about running past closing time. The waiter was very accommodating, first checking with the kitchen to see how much we could push the limits, and then assuring us he would wait for us. Great experience all around.
I was in Huntington last night and STARVING. Vegan btw so it’s ALWAYS a challenge. Found this spot on happy cow ... ordered the Country Fried Seitan (Crispy Fried Seitan, Peppered Vegan Gravy, Whipped Potatoes with Cauliflower, Roasted Asparagus) and my only concern is THIS PLACE DOESNT DELIVER TO MY ADDRESS AN HOUR AWAY!!!! Hubby ordered the Chris G's Eggplant Extraordinaire (Crispy Eggplant, Roasted Tomato, Daiya Mozzarella, Raw Zucchini Noodles Dressed with Basil Oil) which was good but for sure hot as good as mine VERY PLEASE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Chocolate cake and some sort of interesting mousse dessert sealed the deal!!
We came here because I'm vegan and my family isn't. The portions were large and the food was excellent. I had the vegan nachos and stuffed spaghetti squash. Someone else had the chicken Parm and said the mozzarella was fresh and everything tasted great. We were a party of six and they were very accommodating. Hopefully they will still be around the next time I'm up here for a visit. I would definitely recommend this place.
This was our second visit. We enjoyed eating on the deck with a view of the harbor. The food was excellent, and the service prompt and friendly. Looking forward to our next meal here!
One of my favorite places to eat! Consistently good food and service. Vegan and non-vegan food options 😊
The Purple Elephant is amazing. The food is delicious, and they are so generous. They supported our fundraiser with vegan sandwiches. Everyone raved about the eggplant sandwich. All the food is great there. Thank you, Purple Elephant!
While taking a few days to celebrate our birthdays, my SIL saw reviews and the vegetarian menu stuck out in her mind. I looked online and decided to try it. The staff was attentive, water was easily refilled. We ate on the patio and it was perfect weather for it. Looking out was so pretty. It's got a funny name but this place certainly is not a joke. Big serving, good food and perfect company doesn't get any better. Try it...you won't regret it.
Lots of vegan options, delicious and great service. What else can you ask for? Go check it out!
I held my daughter's bridal shower here on 4/5/2025. I cannot say enough about the staff and food!!!! From the start of planning, to the week before with final plans to review, the manager Sam could not have been anymore accomodating than he was, before and during the event! Armondo who took care of my guests was on top of his game, he handled everything, making sure the food was spaced out and not served right after each course, everyone's glass was always full and always with a smile! Everyone could not stop raving about the food and service!! I have eaten at The Purple Elephant many times before and have always walked away stuffed and very satisfied. If you are looking for a wonderful variety of regular and vegan food The Purple Elephant should be your choice, you will not be sorry!!!! Thank you Sam and Armondo for making such a special day in my family's life PERFECT!!! See you soon!
Absolutely a recommended spot for vegan dining! The menu offers a variety of interesting and creative dishes, and the service felt like what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant. I visited on the weekend - it was packed, but I only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated.
Amazing restaurant on the north shore of Long Island. Great mixed fare of vegan and non vegan. A few outstanding vegan meals are the burnt-ends enchiladas or any of the burgers. It’s usually crowded, so make a reservation. They have a back deck that overlooks the water, best in a cool night
The food, environment & drinks were good i really enjoyed everything i ate. The only thing i was not crazy about was the coconut custard brûlée it was a little on the thick side not so creamy but all the flavor was there. I cant wait to go back and try some more things. We ordered Wild huckleberry sparkling lemonade Peruvian "Beef" empanadas Hickory BBQ "Carnitas" Coconut custard brulee Chocolate cake
First time since the old owners left for Costa Rica, but the new owner is par excellence. A warm greeting upon arrival, great seating availability, awesome table service, last but certainly most importantly food was awesome. Highly recommend for any occasion.
My family and I love The Purple Elephant. Even our pickiest eater loves it here and enjoys several different items on the menu. I personally love the surfers’ bowl and can easily have it every day. Whether you’re vegan or a carnivore you will find something you’ll love here. We happily drive almost an hour to get here. So worth it.
Everything except the parking is amazing. Food is phenomenal (neither my husband nor I are vegan or vegetarian) we loved our meals. The decor is surf/ island and they have 45's all over one wall. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can imagine summers are rough with the parking situation but, that is no fault of the restaurant.
This was a lovely find on Long Island, we’ve been looking for somewhere we could get tasty healthy vegan/vegetarian food, it’s been a long annoying search. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer so we can enjoy their outdoor area which has gorgeous views. The food looks rich but it tastes light and yummy 🤤
We stayed with our family for lunch and enjoyed delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and fantastic views of the marina. Friendly staff, Mediterranean Eggplant Wrap and Gluten-Free Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse were just right, bitter and sweet, rich and very delicious! The deck ceiling is surrounded by large fans, and we are grateful for the pleasant breeze, healthy and delicious food and a relaxing and wonderful lunch time.
THE BEST RESTAURANT ON LI! I have been coming here for over 8 years. I have been to so many restaurants on Long Island and I always compare saying I could be at purple elephant. They are so refreshing. Clean healthy food on top of being the tastiest food. Everytime they exceed my expectations. I love them so much!!!!!!
First time dining at The Purple Elephant yesterday, and was not disappointed!! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy. The Pollo Magnifico was just that, magnificent! And the portions so large. Lucky me, I get to enjoy it all over again tonight, as leftovers. Can't wait to return....😋
First time here! Absolutely delicious meal! We had a spiced margarita to start and had the most incredible cauliflower I ever had! We then had the avacado toast and the nachos. Both were cooked to perfection! The nachos were so tasty! Can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere was very vintage, with records and albums and original decor ideas. The mouse dessert was to die for!!!Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to go back.
Another delicious meal at Purple Elephant last night! My husband and I shared the "Our Most Excellent Nachos" appetizer - lots of beans, pico de gallo, vegan sausage and cheese, and their freshly made crunchy nachos. I don't know how they do it, but its meaty texture and flavor more than compensates if you are a meat lover. My only suggestion: being a cheese addict, I would have loved more of a gooey, cheesy flavor! I had been craving the "Rainforest Burger with Yucca Fries" for about a month! It was delicious as always. Made w/black beans and brown rice on a ciabatta bun and topped w/tomato, avocado, red onion, mixed greens, and vegan cheese, its "meaty" texture hits the burger spot (but in a much healthier way!). The yucca fries are just like steak fries...the yucca plant is a cousin to potatoes, but w/less carbs and most importantly, just as delicious w/a tad bit more sweetness than potatoes. It was a huge serving and I took half my dish home :] My husband enjoyed his "Grass Fed Buffalo Burger", also served w/yucca fries. I tried it and thought it was delicious...a bit drier than beef, but a great alternative flavorwise. Dessert was the not-to-be-missed "Dark Chocolate Avocado Fudge Mousse". Beyond amazing! It's chocolaty, velvety and delish topped with coconut whipped cream and delightful tiny chocolate chips interspersed throughout! Every time I have it I can't believe it's vegan and made with avocados, NO eggs or dairy, so you actually feel good all the way around about dessert. Service was polite, friendly and respectful. It did slow down towards the end of our meal. I asked twice for a hot water refill and we waited a little while for our check. I'm already looking forward to our next meal here. Love their salads too! Pictured: Rainforest Burger w/Yucca Fries; Grass Fed Buffalo Burger (they look very similar!); Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse; Our Most Excellent Nachos.
My personal favorite vegan restaurant to go to!! Always so many amazing options. And the best part is the vegan carnitas tacos!!! I would have them everyday if i could. The place is a bit small but that has never been a problem for me. I like getting to know the people near me!! And now they have table dividers due to covid so eating inside is safe as ever. and the staff is always wonderful. Really great place especially if you’re vegan.
This place is fantastic! I'm not by any means a vegan, nor vegetarian; but every time I go there I make a point to choose from that part of their menu. It's a small, intimate place where we never feel rushed- only appreciated and welcomed. Try the Proper Whopper, you won't be disappointed. They also have some tasty, artisanal cocktails and a nice beer selection as well. I'd recommend making reservations.
One of my absolute favorite places for a Celiac safe (gluten-free) meal. They are the best!!! Always worth the drive. You have to try the nachos they are out of this world!!!
Amazing food and being Costarican it was nostalgic to have Gallo Pinto like from home. My mother loved it and really appreciated having a food from her country with the same flavor. The atmosphere is amazing and service exceptional.
If you are GF/vegan and love Nachos, the "Most Excellent Nachos" are the best I have ever had, and they truly are most excellent. I loved the hearty homemade tortillas. It is listed as an appetizer, but I ordered it with guacamole, and it was enough for two meals! The guacamole was not overly spicy, which I prefer. I went to this spot a few times on a visit to LI, and it did not disappoint. It's a little pricey but worth it for the high quality. I appreciated that they were open on NYE and New Year's Day. Supremely filling and tasty. I will be back, as the menu covers multiple food styles (Thai, American, Latin, Sushi, etc.) and offers so many vegan and GF options. Highly recommended for filling, tasty and healthy food.
We recently rediscovered The Purple Elephant and are glad we did. The atmosphere is cozy, the service attentive and prices are quite reasonable. The food is of the highest quality and taste with a menu that has loads of vegetarian and vegan options along with non-vegetarian ones as well. If you are gluten free, there’s plenty to choose from as well. The prices are very good for the area and quality. This will likely become one of our new favorite places in 2026.
Excellent vegan options excellent food! Really beautiful atmosphere! Something for everyone on the menu. The service was incredible. The prices were right for the quality of food. They even had yummy vegan desserts.
The purple elephant It offers a gastronomic experience based on the Spanish tropical concept, from its delicious fried yuca to burritos that deliver protein from start to finish. It has a wide variety of drinks, including horchata! And its dessert menu features a delicious and traditional rice pudding "arroz con leche" Its charming terrace, overlooking the bay and the boats, provides the perfect touch for a comfortable and atmospheric afternoon.
The atmosphere is super cute, with a purple elephant statue out front. I came for dinner on a Sunday night, and sat on the back covered patio. The waitstaff was friendly and the service was quick. I got horchata to drink, a weekly special, crispy enoki mushrooms as my appetizer, and Gong Bao “Beef” tacos as my entree. Everything was super delicious. The mushrooms were the perfect texture, and the sauce made the dish! The portion size for the tacos was huge, and I ended up having enough leftovers for a hole second meal. Overall, I was really impressed with the variety of vegan options on the menu, and everything I ate was amazing.
A pretty cool establishment that serves mostly vegetarian food. I love the assortment of cuisines, they serve vegan wings, tacos and Asian inspired entrees. The nachos were so yummy and the cheese didn't even taste like cashew cheese. The vegan wings were very good but I wish it came with more than three wings. The stuffed spaghetti squash was also very delicious. The portion is very large and it was packed with green peppers, red peppers, garlic and vegan chicken. It does taste very strongly of tomatoes so you should avoid it if you hate tomatoes.
Amazing vegan food! I have been to so many vegan restaurants in Long Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, LA and this is def top 5 of my all time favorite. The food is delicious, the server was very kind and accommodating with our 6 month old in a stroller. You can eat outside in the back patio where you can see a beautiful view or inside with good Cold AC. Bathroom was super clean. I loved the decoration on the walls and the vibe was very relaxed. People were very relaxed and casual as well. I felt super comfortable and the staff were smiling and very friendly. The vegan food in the pictures were all 5/5 stars! Can’t recommend this place enough. The cons: parking is limited and have sign for some spots that are limited only to 45 minutes. I ignored the time limit and was fine. Proceed at your own risk.
the food was really good. it was pretty quiet when we went and we got sat right down. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The parking was tight in the front but we found plenty of space behind the bulding. The only negative I have is that the food felt a little pricey. To be fair, i'm just visiting long Island and a lot of things feel pricey to me here. It was $130 for 2 appetizers, 2 non-alcoholic drinks, and 4 lunch entrees (3 wraps and a burger).
The Purple Elephant has a reasonably sized menu with a mix of fresh, clean, colorful omnivorous and clearly labeled vegan, South American influenced cuisine of appetizers, salads, tacos, bowls, drinks and desserts. Quality is above average. The side salad and beet dressing were amazing. The vegan Mac & Cheese app a homemade, piping hot, bright, delicious soup of cheese and pasta was probably the best we've ever had. The Sunflower Plaintains and Creme Brulee desserts were perfect. While some food products are a bit high, the price point of the desserts are extremely reasonable and overall cost in the average range, and portions are rather large. Atmosphere is clean, smart, casual, cosy and comfortable, with a classic soft and pop rock music. I'm unsure why there are at least a couple of staff, that do not understand basic orders but otherwise service was friendly and efficient Food 4.5 Service 3.5 Atmosphere 4
Great location very nice that they have vegan and non vegan options. Especially being vegan and my husband is non-vegan. However, with vegan food it seems like they have bland and spicy but nothing in the middle. I'll have to try something else next time. The tofu needs some seasoning not spicy but more flavor.
Lunch Review: Very delicious, lots of healthy and unique choices, decent service. Located in Northport, the parking in-front of the restaurant might be tricky. Inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The fireplace was going, making my experience nice and cozy. The tables were spaced far apart. I felt very safe there. It was very clean. The service was decent, nothing spectacular. I got refills when I asked but other than that, it was just ok. Tried the Horchata drink which was delicious! 5 out of 5 stars The food was so delicious. It’s nice to see a restaurant that has healthier choices. It’s a great place to come if your trying to watch your weight, but still wanting a satisfying meal out. I tried the Thai Elephant Wings as my appetizer. Wow wow wow! These are great for sharing between 1-3 people (the portion isn’t that big). The sauce was fantastic and the breading on the cauliflower was packed with flavor. The Bison Burger was also delicious! Very juicy and a healthier alternative to beef. The multigrain roll was extremely fresh. The yucca fries were just ok, I wasn’t that impressed. 4 out of 5 for my entree. Overall, I’m happy with my first trip here.
Some meals are great and others are flops. Edit: 2.14.20 They expanded the seating and it's really nice. Vegan wing appetizer was really delicious, but you only get 3 for $13. I had the Casado platter with chicken and my wife had the stuffed spaghetti squash. Both were good. 4 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 dinners came out to 95$ before tip.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was amazing. But if you have any allergies PLEASE make sure you tell them. I will not say what happened but confirm before you order and make sure they write it down so no incidents happen. Thank you.
Had a really good time at this restaurant! We got the Thai Elephant Wings (phenomenal btw), Yucca fries (a little too starchy), Burnt Ends Enchiladas (suspiciously sweet?), and the rice pudding (came warm, but had no sweetness to it). Everyone loved the Elephant Wings which were actually cauliflower!
A vegan osasis in a sea of pizza and fast food restaurants. Nice decor, new age. What you would expect in a vegan restaurant. Music is downtempo chillout. There is a mild odor of rotting wood. Probably due to the location on the docks of the marina. Right next to the water..there is outdoor seating on the waterfront. Very nice in the summer. The vegan chickpea "tuna" melt was delicious. The casado platter with rice and beans and tofu was great except the tofu was tasteless. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and prompt. Will definitely come again
Super cute place by the water. Came here with a friend but did what to expect as it seems like it's mostly vegetarian dishes but was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the nachos and the shrimp with guac on plantains. Decor is pretty eclectic. Owner was very nice and staff were great. Will come by again next time we're in town.
The Purple Elephant is a vegan restaurant located in Northport. The Thai Tofu Wrap with Chicken was what I ate. It tasted amazing. There is a small bar inside, and you truly pass a purple elephant as you enter. There is sitting both outside and indoors. Featuring a 45-s record wall and vibrant colors, the theme is somewhat eclectic. There are a lot of options for all tastes.
Loved the ambiance of this restaurant that is set off a wooded street and right near the water. There is outdoor seating on their back bacolony that allows you to view the harbor and a small outdoor area at the front. The Purple Elephant statue is definitely a kid attraction, as they are compelled to climb aboard to take pics. Lot's of Vegan options, as well as some Non-Vegan. The Buffalo Cauliflower was a big hit, as well as the Shrimp Patacones with Guacamole (served on fried plantain patties), and the Onion Rings. I ordered the Vegan Bean Burger with Yucca Fries. Not a fan of the burger, but the yucca fries were yummy. The burger flavor was there, but it was not appealing to the eye and it crumbled out of the bun. I wound up eating it with a fork. We ended our meal with desserts. The mini cheesecakes were delish, but as stated on the menu, they are mini, 2 bite-sized pieces. The rice pudding was delish, but the Vegan Creme Brulee was super dry.
Casual sit down spot with friendly staff and service. Very happy with their expanse of vegan meals available. Pictured are their far out chili yuca fries, uncle Rio's breakfast burrito, and their vegan drumsticks. The burrito was absolutely awesome. Wasn't a huge fan of the seating though, it felt a bit crowded. But the food was worth it.
The deserts are amazing. The food is good for Vegans. I did not like the chicken fingers on the kids menu. But the vanilla cheesecake was so good! The place is nice for the decorations like the nice deck with the boats in the back and the nice bathroom's too. But other people like the food but me NO! They need to ask the customers if they would like drink. They have to have better service to the people.
The food is mediocre, but the ambiance is nice on the deck looking out at the marina. The service was not great. The wait time for orders and check were unusually long. The Churassco & bean/avocado tacos meals were tasteless and overpriced.
Went on a Saturday night and started off with some vegan appetizers and everyone fell it love … after that it went down hill our server didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and service was not great most of the staff were hardly even smiling .. and entrees were very disappointing meat was over cooked , salmon and rice lacked flavor .. may stop by again for a drink and some appetizers if service improves .
First time visit based on reviews. Our waiter, Armando, was friendly, and offered entree suggestions based on demand. However, The shrimp wrap was a lot of rice and the pork tacos were average. Cosmo and Lemonade Mocktail were excellent. Nice view of the harbor. Lots of vegan and GF options. Worth a stop, especially if you’re vegan and or gluten sensitive.
I was in the area & excited to try this place for dinner. Our first waiter didn’t know how to answer our questions & wasn’t informative at all. Thank goodness another server took his place since we asked for more time with the menu. 🦋 inside & outside dining available 🦋 loved the ambience & atmosphere, great decor throughout the restaurant, definitely loved the vibes. Outside patio faces the marina, very nice. Very picturesque, & Instagramable location 🦋I tried the horchata (I’ve had better) and one of the house specials: the porch swing (very sweet) 🦋 Thai elephant wings were good (but mid way felt very heavy, greasy , & it didn’t make me feel good) 🦋I wanted to try the burrito, but they said it’s only available at lunch time… 🦋 creamy pesto pasta…way beyond tasteless…oh my felt like it was fake pesto flavor and mostly pasta…that dish needs to be reevaluated & made with love or something…so dissatisfying 🦋 my friend got the beef tacos…& she was dissatisfied as well…she said the meat was over cooked & she couldn’t finish it.. Overall loved the ambiance & atmosphere…but the food looked good…but the quality & taste wise…Not really
Unfortunately, this place was a complete letdown. Firstly, the service was poor. I was seated with my family for about 15 minutes before anyone came over, and the place was maybe 20% full. Nonetheless, we were excited to try the food as it all sounded good. Sadly, it only sounded good. The execution was terrible. I will not return.
I have been a regular here and everytime I go employee in the front Daria is rude, yells at me, and makes me and my wife visibly uncomfortable. If the order is wrong Daria becomes angry and gives me an attitude when I ask for a replacement. She needs to learn better people skills. This is an ongoing issue. She has been unkind to me for every interaction. Not sure if its racial bias or what but not acceptable for any establishment.
Ambiance is 10/10, but food was a fail unfortunately. This place advertises as having healthy plant-based options, but as a vegan I can confidently say some of these items are just a flop and not tasty. For starters, their pickled vegetables that come with every dish are just terrible. This is coming from someone who loves pickled anything. Additionally, more than half of their menu items unfortunately just have that "too healthy" taste if you know what I mean. They're either dry, flavorless, or simply not what the menu advertises it to be. For example, their "whopper" literally tastes like beans and grass. Additionally, their Greek salad with "feta" is just raw unseasoned tofu crumbled over. Again, this is coming from a vegan who eats relatively clean and enjoys the health food spots in town. It just seems like there was a lack of flavor or effort put into a number of their dishes. Additionally, the food is not cheap. If I'm paying that much, I would hope to clean my plate and thoroughly enjoy the food. However, in contrast, the desserts are excellent (rice pudding/chocolate mouse). I'm assuming they outsource their desserts considering the vast contrast from their food. I would say it's worth picking another spot for dinner and heading here for dessert.
First time eating here, service was awesome and so was the atmosphere…. But when I tell you , it was definitely the worst burger I’ve ever had…. Either they gave a bad piece of hamburger meat or their meat they use for their burgers is just disgusting…. I would’ve enjoyed a burger from McDonald’s …. It was that bad!
Extremely over priced and under seasoned!!!!!! They need better chefs you guys think this little northport joint is good? You have not been to New York City. I’m spoiled now. This food is absolutely bland. I suggest the owner goes and net works out of Long Island and gets a taste of flavor !!!!
