Oakdale Cafe Oakdale Reviews
Great service! Food comes out fast and is good, some of it is great! Gravy needs work but eggs and waffles perfect. Very family friendly! Hot cocoas are loaded. Recommend and will return.
This place is amazing! In the menu plates don't look big, but turns are they are. The chicken waffles had the best fried chicken we ever ate. Service is outstanding and fast. Super recommend!
My visit to Cahoots Corner Cafe was a fantastic experience that truly highlights the charm of a great local dining spot. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable and right at home. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish had that comforting, homemade quality that makes a meal feel special. Portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure the experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Their warm and helpful approach added to the relaxed vibe of the cafe. The cozy setting makes it an ideal place to enjoy a laid-back meal. Overall, Cahoots Corner Cafe delivers delicious comfort food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Oakdale.
We came in from San Francisco on our way to Yosemite National Park and found this gem of a café. From the moment we walked in, Jenna took amazing care of us — friendly, welcoming, and incredibly quick with everything. The food was perfect — tasty, fresh, and really high quality. Exactly what we needed before continuing our trip. If you’re passing through, I genuinely recommend stopping at Cahoots Corner Café. You won’t be disappointed!
Holy cow! What an amazing surprise. We stopped looking for breakfast close by to our appointment and it was a great pick. We had the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich we have ever had and the fries where so crispy and fresh. We also ordered the corn beef hash and it was cut in house and you can tell they care about the quality. That meat was so juicy and tender never had corn beef hash like that before. Sour dough bread toast was crazy good too. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a definite winner. Added this place to my favorites will definitely come back.
I meet a team of Disaster relief personnel for breakfast and a devotional. I didn’t know what to expect from this place but it was a second restaurant I visited in a year in Oakdale ca. this place did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Good comfort food. Good portions. Then I looked at another guys chicken and waffle plate. Wow, good looking stuff. The staff were great seemed very nice. Then I noticed something that I was excited to do. There’s a bell to ring near the entrance that says, Ring if you had good food and good service. I rang the bell. Don’t forget to ring the bell. 🤙🏽 Great job Cahoots.
I really liked this place. The servers are very friendly and energetic, and it has a country vibe leading to an overall good experience. The food was enough for the price and of good quality. The menu was quite innovative as well for a brunch place. They don’t have outdoor seating, so if you have a dog like me, plan accordingly. The parking is a bit limited in the complex, but there is plenty of free street parking around.
Every time is a great experience! Every meal comes out quickly and the fries are always hot! Best criscut fries! Staff is friendly and courteous and a huge selection of milkshakes! Always something new to try, my favorites are the cowboy cheese steak and the classic club. Try them! Breakfast special! Strawberry cream cheese French toast !
Absolutely phenomenal breakfast experience! The food was just divine. Fresh. Delicious. It seems to be a popular joint among locals. The place was full. The lady who took care of our table, Julina, was very friendly & had a smile on her face even though she was extremely busy. A MUST, if/when you’re in the cowboy town of Oakdale.
Food is tasty but cook has no idea what medium rare means. Everything else is great, chicken friedsteak is awesome. Atmosphere is loud and the servers aren't great. Bussers are amazing and should be promoted and servers demoted.
Was excited to try this place. I had heard a lot of good things about it. Ordered chicken and waffles, not realizing that the chicken is bone in… different from what I’m used to but ok. The service was quick, which I was happy and surprised, until I ate the chicken. It was crispy and has good flavor, however when I got to the meat, the inner chicken was cold. Definite turn off and that is when I understood that they don’t make the chicken fresh. The eggs were good and their sausage was good. The restaurant was super noisy, so just be prepared for that - not a great place to have a conversation with a friend. Overall, I would visit again and try something different.
On January 18th I visited Cahoots with some friends of mine and while we were enjoying our time, a service member spilled drinks on a friend of mine, she quickly apologized as it was obvious she was rushing and took the time to clean it up. Accidents and mistakes happen, we’re human but what sets apart a business in the service industry is how they create solutions or handle situations in a way that make you want to come back. In this situation they didn’t offer a discount, a free meal, or even a free dessert or appetizer, which as someone who works in customer service, that is the first thing you do, it goes a long way in showing you care and what that person to come back. Was disappointed as I expected more from a place I normally have good interactions at.
Came in with a group of friends for breakfast. Our host dropped several waters and coffees onto one of our friends, soaking his pants and the floor. Staff apologized, but there was no compensation offered for him, even though he had to change clothes. We weren’t expecting anything for the whole table, just disappointed that nothing was done for him after the incident.
