Crepevine Oakland Reviews
One of the only places on College Ave serving dine-in breakfast when I visited. Highly recommend the Santorini crepe with pistachios and coconut. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of outdoor seating available. Bathrooms were nice and clean.
Amazing and very versatile place with very many gluten-free options, from pastas and crepes, to waffles (waffles served only until 3pm or so.) They also have beers, cocktails, freshly-squezeed juices, and MANY more. Seating outside and inside available, dog-friendly patio. Great and quick service!
Crepevine Restaurant in San Francisco excels in providing a high-quality dining experience. Its use of fresh, healthy ingredients, diverse menu with dietary accommodations, welcoming ambiance, and strong reputation among diners make it a standout choice. This review, informed by the restaurant’s official website, review platforms, and mentions in culinary lists, supports a 5-star rating, reflecting its excellence in food quality, service, and overall experience.
Been many times! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good and plentiful. it’s incredibly busy on the weekends, so I always try to go early. Today, Memorial Day, in the early afternoon, it wasn’t as crowded as I’ve usually seen it on weekends. My dining companion and I both noticed that they also serve adult drinks. You could get a pitcher of margaritas for under $30. We’ve already planned on coming back some weekend in mid June! We’re taking either BART or an AC bus. Both of which are conveniently located nearby.
Love the franchise and this location is one of the best great service and quick , the crepes are great and tender my favorite is the San Francisco with fresh salmon spinach capers and pickled onions yamm , comes with a salad and choice of home potato or fries ( recommend the home potato ) and they get U generous portions , outdoor patio sitting also and nice vibe around the area
The food was so good, and the patio was comfortable! There's enough sunlight let in to enjoy the day, but not a blinding amount let in, and the pario even has heaters for those cold Berkeley mornings. Excellent breakfast date spot. The house and patio were packed, so we were shocked with how fast the service was! My partner and I shared a side order of chicken apple sausage and a Benedict with a very creamy unique hollandaise and excellent veggies, with a sweet crepe to follow up. The portions are generous enough that we could've been satisfied with just the Benedict if not for the sweet tooth factor, haha. So delicious, very friendly and helpful staff, definitely recommend if you're in the area.
This place was suggested by a good friend, thank goodness that we took his advice. Crepevine offers different varieties of food that will excite your taste buds. You can taste the fresh ingredients in every bite and the coffee can definitely warm you, specially during those cold mornings. From start to end of our time dining in, their customer service is suberp. We are definitely coming back to this place to share their delicious food with our family.
I've had a savory crepe - 1st time having a crepe and loved it. I've also had the pancakes and cinnamon raisin French toast. Be hungry if you get a side of potatoes - a whole lot. I would come here again.
Been going for decades, consistently good. Not cheap, not expensive, ample portions. Not an intimate experience, more like a Cal student cafe, without the students. Pay at register and food is brought to your table. Broad menu of sandwiches, egg dishes and salads. Close to BART and Market Hall. I like the Greek choices, but so much more to choose from. Street or BART parking.
You ordered at the front bring your food to you. Many items to choose from..I had a savory Thai wrap my friend had a Tuscany wrap.. They give a good portion of food.. Wrap comes with FF or home-baked potatoes. They also have a good selection of drinks.. if I ate there again. I would probably get a sweet crepe. Many sandwiches to choose from. And breakfast.. I would go back there..You won't be disappointed.
This is a good brunch spot if you're looking for a decent meal without the long wait that comes with some of the more popular brunch places nearby. We went on a Saturday afternoon—no wait, friendly service, and the food was good and reasonably priced. Portions are generous, and the French toast exceeded expectations. The Benedict was also quite good. I’d skip the fruit bowl though—bland and overpriced for what you get.
Still like this place after all these years. It’s comfortable and has quality food. Only thing is that when I first came to Rockridge 12 years ago, I remember that my Bangkok salad had 6 strips of chicken, which went to 5 some years back and 4 on my last trip. I guess this is the price of progress... 2023 update Unlike my last visit 4 years ago, my Bangkok salad is back up to 6 strips of chicken, but of course the price has risen like at all other places. The seating is still comfortable and it’s a great place to hang around with friends.
Nice crepes. It’s relaxing sitting outside. Good vibes. I wish I could also try the savory crepe, such as the one with eggplant. The restaurant is located is a lively stretch of College Ave in Lower Rockridge. It’s a lovely area. I will come back to try the breakfast too. The only surprise is the credit card processing fee.
If I were trapped in a small mountain village in a blizzard for a few days, I'd be happy eating here. Otherwise, I can't recommend it. The flavors clash in unsettling ways and bear no resemblance to french savory crepes. (Why would you chop the ham into a julienne??) The potatoes seemed made in-house, but didn't have any flavor nor texture. If I do come back, I would only try their sweet menu, like french toast or a chocolate crepe--they already fooled me once on savory options. Be aware you're asked to tip before you receive your food or any table service.
Food was okay with a few problems. Eggs Benedict poached eggs were overcooked and so was my friends burger. We had a missing item as well but this was taken care of. Service and speed was decent. We were seated within 10 minutes in a Sunday afternoon. Total came out to $80 after tip for a party of 4.
Ordered from this location via door dash with express delivery. Ended up getting horribly sick with an upset stomach and vomiting violently a few hours after eating. I had the Palermo with grilled chicken. It tasted fine when I was eating it but was very oily. The garlic bread was inedible, burnt, and oily. My mom tried the El Dorado burger and instructed it to be cooked well done, it was still pink, and we had to cook it longer at home. Really enjoyed the French fries. They have decent portions for the price. We also got the ceasar salad, which was just okay. Paid $70 in total. The pasta is what made me extremely ill. Will not be returning and would not recommend this spot.
I’ve ordered here a few times now each always being a different consistency of quantity. Each time just palatable enough, but never Quite matching the first time I ordered it. Yesterday I reached out to the restaurant at this location, because the order I placed was missing a food item. I reached out to the email provided by this restaurant’s website, where I was told that this restaurant doesn’t use uber eats. Just yesterday you were able to find a contact email at the bottom of the website, which now seems to have been removed. This was a place I was recommending to people, now I have to back track to let them know I have to change my stance. It’s a true shame that those in charge of this place doesn’t seem to know where things are being offered, and that the service given is dismissive. I’m not sure how far management is out of the more detailed processes, but it would seem that those in charge should re-familiarize themselves with the workings and offers of the restaurant. If by chance these email responses I’ve received aren’t from anyone in charge of this restaurant, that is even more egregious it was listed on the website but has since seemed to be removed. I hope the service and food preparation process can get in order here, so consistent food of decent quality can be made, and friendly service given during customer concerns.
