Oori Oakland Reviews
Ive been coming here for years. My favorites are the spicy tofu/ grilled salmon/ ahi tuna triangles/onigiri. They also have an ahi tuna plate (over rice) which i get as well. If you get a set of 3-4 onigiris it comes with edamame. My orders have always been made quickly and prices are affordable.
In all my travels, I look for what I call "happy food." Happy food for me is healthy, nutritious, tasty, nicely prepared, and served by smiling people in a clean environment. Oori exceeded all my happy food requirements and then took me for a ride through food blissfulness with each bite. I had chicken teriyaki, grilled salmon, and spicy tuna triangles. On the side, I complimented it with miso soup and ginger. Each flavor was distinct and made my taste buds ooh, ahh, and wow for more. I'll be back here for more without question. I felt like I was dining at a 5-star restaurant and found the food reasonably priced.
5 stars for perfect recipe consistency in superb food quality across multiple locations, superb customer service, food-in--a-quickness and best bicycle accessibility spot throughout the East Bay. 5 more stars for the brown rice option, extra sauce without asking, and for having an affordable menu ...that's good and plentiful. This spot was friend recommended. Taste is equal if not close to my own cooking style. For this reason = 10 stars!! - Pro Chef approved.
First time in Rockridge and randomly popped in for a double unagi triangle. Amazing!!
The tender beef was bursting with juicy flavor, perfectly balanced with savory spices and herbs. The Beef Triangle is a culinary masterpiece! Flavorful, satisfying and expertly crafted.
OMGosh this place is a habit. They are located next to my hair salon so every 5 weeks, yup there I am ordering 2 plates to go. Teriyaki chicken, and spice work with rice. All the rave! I was so excited I forgot to take a picture of my food! Ugh I wanted to show you they taste even better than they look and they look great! A must.
Really pleased with our rice triangles here !!! First timers and definitely will be coming back. We especially loved the spicy shrimp and spicy ahi tuna. Most triangles run just a little over 3$, great lunch. Really appreciated the compostable boxes and plant starch forks.
Salmon taco and 3 piece onigiri soo good the taste is excellent but I don’t like boiled edamame, price is reasonable to fill your stomach
I've never had a rice triangle before, but it was delicious. Oori is great for a quick meal. They've got rice triangles and salads.
First time trying rice triangles and very good and tasty, I want to try all of them 😁

Oori is the most amazing thing. If I am hungry after school, I just stop by oori and get my self a triangle. It is very creative but each triangle is different in its own way. I highly recommend the buldak chicken triangle if you are a spicy food lover. If not, then get the chicken or salmon teriyaki. This is a must go rockridge restarunt.
First time here. Met with some friends for lunch. Food was delicious - i had 3 triangles (short rib, teriyaki chicken, and Kim chee). All yummy. Came with free edamame. Reasonable prices, fast service after you order on the kiosk.

The double unagi rice triangle features large pieces of unagi. The short rib plate is not really short rib but small bites of beef nuggets. I prefer edamame boiled rather than wok fry as the edamame tends to be greasy with wok fry.
Loved the ume. To me, the tofu teriyaki was ok, my kid said that one is her favorite. We both enjoyed the spicy tofu one. We each got a box of 3, they came with some edamame, 12.25/meal
This place was very different and tasty. The rice triangles are wrapped in seaweed with your filling of choice, like a little sandwich. I got the 2 triangle order and it came with edamame. I got chicken teriyaki, which was tasty and fresh, although a bit sweet for my taste. It was my son’s favorite. I also got the spicy Ahi Tuna. Tuna was delicious. I would return.

Really tasty quick rice triangles. Great for lunch. Edit: I'm changing my original review because the restaurant changed the seaweed wrap paper they use and it's super thick and chewy. I hope they change back.
Very tasty food, but the triangles didn't seem to contain the amount of food very well. I'm not sure if the intended experience is that your Triangle breaks apart in your hands and makes a sticky mess. Still, the food was very tasty, filling, and a fun spin on rice and filling.
Take out eat as soon as you can triangles that are very tasty and I got three - saucy tofu, saucy pork, and teriyaki chicken! Excellent snacking!

Food is ok for quick lunch but you have to order on their iPad (no counter service), have your stylus handy so you dont have to actually touch the greasy thing.

This food is fine but the ordering is completely automated. When they make a mistake on your takeout there is *no* way to call the restaurant and resolve it with a real person. The food is fine, but it's just kind of expensive for the quantity, and then if they miss anything you're stuck buying a different dinner because they didnt put a triangle in the bag that was supposed to be there and you have no way to resolve it.

Never again! The staff are hardworking humble people, they’re fine. The portion sizes aren’t the worst, that’s fine. The meat was tender and not chewy, that’s good. But none of this matters when you end up paying $17 for the most uninspiring, tasteless, excessively oily plate of teriyaki chicken on white rice you’ve ever had. Never again. This place is a classic “business” and not a “food” place. They’re clever at setting up shop and putting together just enough of an effort to make it sound like you’re getting “tasty food” when it is instead just a bunch of inharmonious ingredients put together formulaically. Of course not every place in the world can be expected to produce a gourmet experience but this isn’t even about that, even from a fastfood point of view there’s simply nothing special here that would want to make me ever come back let alone pay the prices they are asking! Feel bad, but that’s the truth :/
