El Torero Taqueria Oakland Reviews
We got a carne asada burrito, carnitas burrito and tacos. They all hit the spot. They were nice enough to let me use their bathroom and got to peep their kitchen. It was clean and I knew our food was going to be bomb when I saw a woman cooking in the kitchen 👌👌 yup. Server was friendly. Would definitely come back!

Great food and the service is excellent. Im always greeted with a smile
Absolutely fire!!! This little place is amazing, have the tacos and you’ll see why!
The food is good and the prices are too really enjoy eating there.
Best carne asada and lengua (tongue) burritos in the whole east bay. Lengua is not easy to make but Beatrice knows how to perfect it. I’ve been coming here since I was 13 which is 19 years in 2025. I remember when the burritos were 5 bucks! The recipe has never changed. They also have the best green hot sauce that go great with the burrito. They also have really good menudo. The ribs plate with red sauce is also one of my favorites. I’d say everything on the menu won’t disappoint. She makes everything homemade, even the tortillas.
This place is a hidden gem. I have been going here years and the staff are always great. They communicate with you well and serve you in a timely manner. The food has always been consistently great. They have the best carne asada burritos in Oakland hands down.
Great little restaurant. Employee staff are very nice and respectful definitely would recommend this place and will be back! 😁
Expensive but real Mexican food soups breakfast plates chorizo and seafood and burritos tacos
Better than expected. The ladies are holdin it down in there. Carne Asada was on point, very tasty, not dry or bland. Chicken was just right too. Friendly staff and it felt like i was out of the country for a second. That's a good thing lol
Great food. Papusas are amazing! Always friendly. Love the home made chips and salsa. Everything I've tried here has been great.
This family Mexican tequaria is my FAVORITE OF 50+ YRS. I have been a customer going on 10 years. Their menu doesnt lack anything, Shredded chicken, pork, steak, beef, are all cooked to your liking and served with prime choice in their varieties of ingredients. I've shared this wonderful place with many friends and Im always told how they felt the breeze of Cancun or Panama. The service is quick, the food is hot, if your portion isnt enough, no worries cuz they'll top your plate with how much you want. I love the outside dining area, you'll be sure to see something interesting right at that crossing of International and Seminary.
The food haves a lot of good taste small place but good food 💯💯
Great tacos and flautas. My time there way quaint and joyful. Watching the game to hablas en Espanol con patrons. It way near where I was going so convenient for me but any one else our of the way on international and 58th nothing else around but the Gatorade company
Short walking distance from my house. Their wet burritos are too die for ! Definitely a must try if eating here .
Awesome. Good food. Good service. Outside or inside dining area. Good music on the jukebox.

Sitting in the parking lot at 7:30 in a Tuesday and they are closed. No note on the door, nothing online about why they are closed. What a waste of time. Nice job guys, won’t be back.
Vegetarian burrito here was at the bottom of the taste scale we have experienced so far: All ingredients tasted at least day-old, the lettuce was yellow and dry, rice-beans-cheese were mushed together beyond recognition, and the salsa was way too spicy (we had asked for something mild, like pico de gallo). In addition, they had no black beans, just pinto or refried, and my son ended up with stomach cramps all evening. Minor irritants were that it took comparatively long for the burrito to be done (especially since no other guests were waiting to be served at the time); the outdoor table at which we waited was sticky with food leftovers (the server had cleaned other customers' table earlier - why not this one?); the burrito then arrived so piping hot that we had to take it home instead of eating it on the spot; and it was way overpriced, at $14 for a blech basic burrito and a small agua fresca. Speaking of which, that "agua fresca" came in a styrofoam cup (not a green business practice) and had very little strawberry in it, just some artificial-tasting flavor in lots of water. Hm. Not at all what we would have expected from a place with otherwise good reviews, in a Latinx neighborhood. Quite disappointing!
Over priced &for the amount of food its not worth it. Was going to eat at the taqueria across from it, but the reviews were better for this one. So it was disappointing&misleading. I ordered chilles rellenos, which in the menu was priced at about $9 and got charged $12. Just two plates&2drinks and it was about $45! Which wouldve been ok if the portion of food was actually a good amount. The food tasted ok&was edible, but definitely not the best. Not worth it.
they no longer accept ebt, although there are still signs inside and outside stating the opposite. poor form.
