Sticky Rice Cafe Oakland Reviews
Came after they closed for a pick up DoorDash order and they were kind enough to not only stay open so I could get that order but also gave me a wrong order made so I had more food than I ordered. Everything was absolutely delish. Cannot wait to return here to try out more of their selections!
It was delicious! Don't be fooled by the photos posted here, just go to their website and see their full menu and pictures there. You can order there to go or pick up too. We had dinner in the place and wanted to try different things. The place is small and cozy, the decoration is beautiful and the space looks clean and nice. The service was fast, and welcoming. Also the server made sure as we were ordering to much, to let us know when it was too much, and we appreciated it. When the food arrived we were so happy all looked so good and tasty and it got even better when we tried it. So good and so generous! The spring rolls were so tasty and the sauce was great too. The Cashew nut Chicken wok was sweet and savory and a little spicy with a really nice texture and fresh vegetables. The chicken panang curry was also amazing, with a taste of coconut and fresh vegggies. Really nice food. We (2ppl) ate enough to be full and brought home some left overs. The total price was 48 + tip, which is a fair price for the quality, the service and the amount of food they served us. I'd definitely come back and recommend others to come try.
Hole in the wall Thai place with yummy food! I had the spicy eggplant which was delicious, and we shared the spicy Thai sausage. It’s definitely spicy! My wife had the garlic pork belly which she also liked.
We ordered from Sticky Rice last night on Door Dash and the food was absolute fire! So good. I had Thai sausage, samosas, and green curry with shrimp. Mama bear had drunken noodles and larb salad. We shared the mango sticky rice dessert. Ice cold jumbo Mexican cokes. 10/10. Reasonable prices, fast delivery, and fresh (super fresh) ingredients. Highly recommend. We're definitely going to eat from here again soon.
Best mango sticky rice in the bay! The mangos are always perfectly ripe and sweet and the rice is always deliciously warm!
Excellent quality Isaan-Laos food. Veey fresh and full of flavors. Great rice ball dish. Server was attentive. Street parking. Put this cafe on Piedmont Avenue or Union Square and could charge twice the price.
I love Laotian Thai food. The Pumpkin Curry with Salmon is so good. Creamy lots of flavor and fresh ingredients, just the right amount of heat. They have a fragrant brown rice mixed with red rice.
I found this place randomly on yelp. I’m starving after a long day of travel and wanted some Thai food. After looking at pictures, I ordered through yelp and it was a very easy process. I ordered drunkin noodles with shrimp, crab Rangoon ( which are hard to find in Cali for what ever reason and they are my favorite), coconut curry soup. Everything is delicious! I also ordered a Thai iced tea. I mistakenly ordered 2 soups and they refunded me my money right away with no problem. Great customer service and I will be returning!
The staff is super nice and the food so yummy . Not a big curry fan so I went with the beef prik pao. Sooo good!! Highly recommended
Ordered to go in July since there's a pandemic, great and tasty good!

I like how sticky rice is centered in the main offerings for only $1 extra! What a steal! One of the best tom kha I’ve had. Piping hot and paired with an aromatic Thai Tea.
It is so tiny in there! But I LOVE the food and staff! I ALWAYS pop in when in Oakland. It's close to where I need to work when I am in town AND the hotels on Embarcadero!
This review is for takeout. Food came piping hot and was so good! I ordered drunken noodles with Tofu, and it's honestly way better than the ones from Vientian café. Way more flavor, steaming hot, and a more filling helping. Food was ready on time too. Thanks so much, it's my new go-to now!
This understated hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves up consistently great Thai food! I frequent here often and I am never disappointed!
I’m a bit obsessed with thai curry (green in particular) and have tried what seems like every Thai place in SF, Oakland, Berkeley and Oakland. I’ve eaten at Sticky Rice twice nice and it has the best green curry I’ve had. Also had the salmon red curry, crab fried rice and pot stickers, all of which were excellent. Highly recommend!
This establishment is a small business on the Fruitvale area off of E14th (International Blvd.) Let me tell you the place is small but the food is well worth it. I’ve never really ventured into enhancing my palate but this place did not disappoint!! The food was hot and quick even after I got home, my food was still piping high. The eggrolls were still piping hot, and none of my food was soggy. I was able to eat it a day later and it was still delicious. I’ve only experienced Thai food two other times and was not disappointed. I’m excited to go back and try other dishes. If you’re in the area and you love to try the communities cuisines please go there you won’t regret it. They stay open till 9pm. Most people assume when you’re in Oakland, there’s always so much drama confusion but this little shop is in the heart of Oakland and is thriving.

Rainy day hot porkbelly curry yummy. I've been going to SR for a few years the food is always good. I had the chicken wings I'm going back tomorrow for more.
I have been wanted this restaurant for years. Last week I order in, I had the pork and broccoli sticky rice. They did not disappoint. I will be ordering again. Hats off the the chef👨🍳. I really enjoyed my dinner.
A hole in the wall, but the food is tasty. Best pad see ew I’ve had in 45 years.

This Laotian hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a jade in the mud for food searcher. You need to try their "Crispy Rice Salad".

I had the rice with chicken. Had it delivered. First the restaurant gave the driver the wrong address. Second, I got my food after several bites, I pick up another bite and I picked up a piece of raw meat in my food. Spoiled my entire appetite. Unfortunately because we’ve had at work several times and the food is always good.
