Skipolini's Oakley Reviews
The best pizza in Oakley by far. Great service.
Had delivered big for a small pizza lots of toppings great pizza ad delivered fast tku
1st time trying the pizza was amazing. Don't usually dip pizza in ranch but it tasted so good defiantly a great compliment to this pizza. I was sad I didn't take ranch home for my leftovers lol. We had the previous pizza
I’ve been going to Skips since I was a kid, we always order pizza and a salad, always delightful, never disappoints. Tonight I got a wild hair to try the pappardelle bolognese. When I tell you it was outstanding, I truly mean it. The pasta was perfection, thin ribbons tossed in a bolognese with a little spicy kick. So satisfying, 10/10
My daughter is obsessed with their kids’ pepperoni pizza—she orders it about three times a week, and it’s hands-down her favorite meal.
Amazing experience for a celebration today! Manuel, the manager, came to chat with us and made sure everything was well! He gave all the props to his team and workers in the kitchen. So much fun playing cornhole too, and the food was amazing too.
Great pizza, variety of beer, craft, or tap. Big TVs for sporting events, a private event area, outside seating, and a pretty extensive menu. Great for the family or a drink with friends.
Good delicious pasta dishes. Fast service (we came on a Wednesday night) and friendly customer service. Cozy ambience and beautiful murals. Bruschetta was not to my liking. The balsamic vinegar was sweet and thick. The Mozzarella was sub par. Eating it with a basil leaf makes a big difference! Will come back to try the other dishes.
It's such a great location. Corn Hole offered for the enthusiasts or curious. Old fashion had a perfect square cube of ice. Didn't really taste the bitters, but it was good. My date got the kids "chef special/ build your own pizza" for less than $10 it kept him entertained, and he really really loved his cheese pizza. I got the peperonni option just in case he wanted to deviate from his normal path.... he didn't 😆 This is a great family spot with delicious food at a fair price. 👌
The calzones are amazing. Finally had the time to try dining in, and was blown away by the two calzones that we ordered. I honestly would love to go back and just repeat the order. Delicious.
Nice ambiance, but joined a party on 2nd floor. Food was delicious, service was fast and friendly, and easily fit a group of ~100.
we started off with a caprese bruschetta, ordered a cherry bomb shot that was delightful . We also Ordered a pizza that was half creamy pesto and half vegetarian with sausage :) Everything we ordered came out delicious. I’ll be back.

My family and another family needed a place to grab lunch after an event, but needed the 4 kids to get their energy out before nap time. This place has a small playground which was perfect since we could sit right on the patio! Food was great and will definitely be coming back!

I was referred here by a good friend. He did mention to me it was similar to other pizza chains where you walk through a line and tell them what toppings and they will apply right then and there then bake it. I would say he was correct. It tastes very similar. Very filling I will have to admit and has a decent taste. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had though. I do however enjoy the crust the most. That was the best part for me. Everything else tastes similar to those other chains and wasn't very unique. Service was quick and fast. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. I could find myself having a gathering here. I did not tour the bottom floor as I was getting take out but I did get a chance to check out upstairs. Very open and good for parties. As from what I could see, there are bars located on both floors. Overall, I would come back here again based on my experience with the service and atmosphere and not for the pizza.
Always a great place to bring the full family together. Reservations makes it easy. Staff always treats us well no matter our party size. Food is yummy and hot. The playground is great for little ones.
First visit on Mother's Day. First to walk through the doors when it opened at 11am. Service was OK. I did notice other tables were treated nicer and friendlier as it started to get busy. The server seemed annoyed and in a hurry with all the questions we had about the menu. Again it was our first visit driving from an hour away. The food was very slow to come out after ordering, but delicious. I have to say that much. The Eatery had a nice setup. Outdoor seating is available. Lots of spider webs outside. Could use a power wash.
Love Skips, but I feel like lately the pizza has become overly soggy. It's still not bad, but I don't recall it being so soggy fresh out of the oven. Great atmosphere, inside and outside seating. They have cornhole and a small playground for the little ones.
The restaurant food was excellent; I ordered a simple half cheese, half pepperoni pizza🍕😋. It arrived perfectly cheesy and hot and was verpleasant🔥. Also, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for my toddler🍝👶. My friends ordered pasta and were quite satisfied🍜. I've dined here several times, but this is my first review📝. I highly recommend this pizza place if you're in the area 👍. You'll certainly receive good value, and the atmosphere was very pleasant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
We came here on Valentine’s Day because it’s probably the nicest restaurant in Oakley. We order Fried Ravioli, BBQ chicken salad and a white sauce Palermo pizza. The pizza was great. The ravioli and the salad were average.
Lovely place with delicious food. The pizza is great and you have to get the bacon wrapped jalapenos 👌🏼 I tried a raspberry cocktail and it was delicious (sorry, forgot the name of it) anyways, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the place was pretty dirty 😕 our booth had crumbs all over the table and seats and they still sat us there, which honestly we didn't really mind. We grabbed a napkin and cleaned ourselves but it just doesn't look good. I noticed they were short on staff, hence all the empty tables with dirty dishes still on them. We also waited a really long time for a server to take our order but once we got the food it was all good. The food is definitely worth it! Our server was also lovely once she got to our table.
Prego pizza, Calzone, bruschetta, garlic cheese bread and calamari.. Mediterranean pasta.. Food isn't bad. Delicious actually, clean environment, just needs more tentative service. Our family plans on returning😊
Skipolini's makes in my opinion, a high quality pizza. I've eaten here before and had a positive experience. Today is date night for me. My wife ordered pizza, calamari and a salad from the Skipolini's web site. They mixed up the salad with fried green beans. The order was problematic. But at the end of the day, management went out of their way to fix the issue. We didn't order the green beans but I must report that they were a unique and excellent treat. We did get our salad. It appears to me that Skippolini's looked into the mix up and made changes to figure out how to improve accuracy. Sometimes it takes a bump in the road to work out kinks. The ownership here has a great attitude and is responsive to issues. Thank you.

Great food options besides pizza. Delicious but a bit pricey. Service was great but no waiting area or seats.

Food is good, atmosphere is good, staff is nice. But I had to wait on my waitress to stop talking to another waitress toward the back, it was frustrating! Ain't gonna lie, I really like it here, just don't go if you're short on time.
Average at best. It seemed like a nice location. They were out of several items and food I got was just ok. It was very warm upstairs with the afternoon sun coming through the windows and no blinds to block it. I'd like to try their pizza and give it another shot sometime. May have just been an off day.
Pretty disappointing dinner experience this time. My wifes eggplant parm was not prepared properly. The egg plant was very tough and then it was overfried. Pizza was OK but very thick dough for such a small pizza. Ceaser salad was good. The old fashioned was very good. The waiter was so attentive when we ordered yet didnt check in with us again until we were ready to leave.

I had the same dish within two days. Today I was charged $1.50 for having noodles. I asked for the supervisor who was by the register but instead of coming to my table. He waited until I left. They also wanted to charge for a side of bread. Not sure if there that good of a restaurant to be penny pinching customers. It’s not about the extra charge but the inconsistency of charging not charging. Italian restaurant with no bread with their pasta unless you pay. interesting. First time, it took so long to get the check. Today, in a almost empty restaurant the supervisor didn’t even prioritize coming to my table. I paid and left w a bad taste in my mouth. Restaurant before that occupied this place before definitely had better customer service. TOO BAD the food is quite ok BUT not sure if i would be back and would definitely tell people about my experience.
Ok the first time my wife and I went it was amazing everything was great. The last 2 times we have gone it's been horrible, the waitress wasn't very good the food was over cooked my chicken Parm was black on the bottom and the noodles where lukewarm . The spinach and artichoke dip was hafe warm and the bread was rock hard . It seems you should never go there for lunch only go for dinner.
I am disappointed. I ordered the Cajun Pasta, which comes with chicken and sausage, and asked for No Bell Peppers. My receipt even said, "No Red & Yellow Bell Peppers." When I got home and was ready to dig in ; I received a large amount of Bell peppers and absolutely no chicken. It does taste good even though I can taste the Bell peppers.(yuck). So sad.
Pizza is often made sloppily and undercooked. Knowing this I ordered takeout and selected “well done” only to get home and have to through it in the oven because the pizza was so undercooked it was soggy and wet. I’m not a fan of paying for a hot, cooked meal and having to cook it myself at home because they couldn’t be bothered. Staff here could learn a thing or two from Clayton or Antioch locations, they have things down 100%.

The food is good but do NOT go here Thursday - Saturday, especially Friday. Service sucks. Bartenders only care about people at bar which is about 10 seats. Order it on door dash. It’s loud inside and if outside and busy good luck getting served within 30 minutes. Meatballs were NOT HOT on sandwich. So frustrating
It was our first time. We were a walk-in of two on a Monday at around 6:30. We sat inside near the back patio entrance. The AC was blasting and I wish I brought a sweater. I guess if even the server staff are wearing warm clothes in summer I should layer up. Julie D was our server. She seemed really busy with tables at the patio and it took a while to get our order placed. We just got married but no one asked if we were celebrating anything and didn’t even get a smile throughout the entire evening from her. I wonder why she had tables both inside and outside as it seemed she was more attentive to the larger parties outside. We ordered the garlic bread, ravioli, a burger, and a small pepperoni pizza. We did receive our food (after about 30 mins of waiting) The garlic bread was like nothing I’ve ever had before. It tasted like mounds of freshly ground garlic plopped on top of toasted bread with melted cheese on top almost like a pizza. It was almost too spicy with the amount of garlic they used but, hey, if that’s your thing, enjoy. It wasn’t to my liking. It’s not normal garlic bread by any means. I wish they used roasted garlic. The pizza, burger, and the ravioli were decent. We also ordered a side of the meatballs as well which came out lukewarm and even when we asked to heat it up, even then they weren’t that great. I understand that Julie must have been overloaded but I’ve worked as a server before and I wish I had received better/more attentive service. The only time service was prompt was when we were paying the check. We noticed other servers asking tables if they were celebrating anything special but no one asked us. We were within eyesight every time she walked through the patio door and she never so much as looked in our direction. We did tip, but we felt neglected and I don’t think we will be coming back.
So we’ve tried this place three different times the food is good not the best but decent enough. The service though has always been horrible. We’ve been forgotten about. We receive burnt food at times. We waited a long time to receive our check . The servers didn’t know who had our table. We had to get up and find the server to get an extra plate and a refill on water because they never returned back to the table. If anything I would say order to go.

My wife and I used to dine here all the time, and we loved the food and the service. But the last 3-4 times we visited, the service has declined significantly. Today was the final straw. We were seated promptly, but waited 30 minutes and no server came by, not even an acknowledgement. It's not that it was busy, we were one of only three couples inside. We tried to flag one of the waitresses down, but they were too busy chatting with one another. We finally left, went across the street and ate at Black Bear Diner.
Way too expensive. Tasted awful. Never again. $100 for 2 medium 1 topping pizzas, wings and garlic bread. Wings were barely cooked and we had to throw them on the grill at home for another 10 minutes just to make them edible. Pizza was just plain nasty. Had to bake it another 5 minutes and a slight broil to cook the toppings. "Garlic bread" was not like any garlic bread I have ever seen. Should probably rename it because it looks more like cheese pizza sticks or something. Also it wasn't really edible since the bottom was pretty burnt. Might as well have made my own food at home and saved $100. 😳
Was highly disappointed with the bartenders tonight. My husband and I went in to enjoy a few drinks and it was clear that unless you are a regular you don't get treated the same. We sat there, barely a few words, one bartenders poured a beer full of foam and then said oh well and sent it to the table, we got our drinks which were fine but no sort of hospitality at all. Then as soon as the regulars walked in, all cheerful to then, chatting it up. We even heard the bartender to another couple dining "anything else" with an attitude. We would've stayed for more drinks or came back but after feeling unwanted we left. I recommend not going to the bar unless you are one of their regulars or you will not be treated well.
Went with a friend, Arrived before 11:30. Ordered egg plant parm. Was told it would take 20 minutes. Fine we said, The food was barely warm when it came. We sent it back. They put it in the over (doubtful). When they served it again, it was exactly the same as when we sent it back. My first and last time at Skipolini's. Over priced...poor quality.
Service was so bad last night when we went in. First the table was so loose our drinks were almost spilling over. I asked for a Diet Coke and they gave me a dr Pepper. I didn’t complained but it pissed me off. Then, we asked for clam chowder as an appetizer, 20 minutes later they came to tell us that they didn’t have clam chowder If we could choose something else. So we got the fried calamari. When they brought it to us, they didn’t even give us any kind of napkins or utensils. 40 minutes later, they gave us our food, still no utensils and no napkins. They just dropped off the food and we had to ask for the utensils. It took another 5 mins for them to give us utensils. By then food was cold. Again I was so upset, I didn’t say anything because I would have gone off on them. I should have said something because it really bothered me all night. Yes I left a tip, only because I didn’t want to wait for me change.
I had a disappointing experience here last week, which was unfortunate because I had been looking forward to visiting for quite some time. Our group of 11 placed our orders, but mine came out completely wrong. The waiter took it back to have the pizza remade, which I appreciated. However, twenty minutes later, he returned with the original pizza—now cold—while we were still waiting. By the time I finally received my correct order, the rest of my party had already finished eating and packed up their leftovers. I didn’t even eat. There was no apology, and nothing was comped. To make matters worse, the vegetables on my pizza were completely uncooked, so we ended up tossing it. Really disappointing.
We waited 30 minutes up front for our pizza while the front door girl served ice cream to 9 people while our pizza was ready and getting cold without a proper front desk. Then they mischarged pizza and said they would give a credit while my wife and daughter waited in the car, and I said just return pizza and rebill us. That took her 15 minutes to find her manager saying we should just take a future discount while she was the one causing everyone at front to wait and our pizza cold while waiting and family in car. So does that sound like service or an irresponsible high school dance function? Service. Not any. Horrific. Wanted a family pizza we can not really afford and wasted our time and money on a cold pizza we could not have waited longer for with sassy mouth teenager saying take a coupon. Recommendation, hite front desk that sits there for service and hire an high school ice cream scooper to manage the ice cream stand oh wait you have the latter however lack the former. We usually like Skipolini's and dont eat put much as everything costs too much so where we get even a pizza the once a month we do so is a consideration but when we do someone should be at the desk, check Pizza, so does not get cold, no sassy backtalk, and check on pizza then ring up correctly and simply hand over a warm Pizza so we can exhausted drive home and eat and pass out. I did leave a TIP, but youthful workers think a TIP is expected however TIP stands for To Insure Promptness, there was nothing prompt.
Poorly managed or understaffed hard to tell. Too many issues to count. Visit #1 order two pizzas to go -bring them home and both pizzas are wrong! Not even the right pizza on either! Visit #2 we come with a large group and our seated. They are not very busy. The waitress tells us we cannot order our pizza because others are ordering appetizers. We are only allowed to order drinks and apps. Okay. Wait 40 mins. She comes back with the other side of the tables pizza and appetizers. We have no appetizers, pizzas, or drinks! Same table. Same group. Same waitress. We ordered our pizza after she brought out our friends. Because she forgot about the other half of the table Visit #3 I order online and come on time currently waiting in parking lot and they said all their deliveries are behind and I have to wait 20-30 more minutes. It is now 45 mins from when my basic pepperoni pizza should have been ready for pick up. Gave me enough time to write this review. Love their pizza but their customer service makes the price not worth it.
I'm going to start off my review with I did not leave a tip! I was so disappointed after reviewing the reviews. Well I'm a single Patron so I said at the bar. I arrived at the bar set at the end the bartender looked at me and continued to drink her big gulp. That was red flag number one, she did not say anything to me. So when she came over I asked her hey do you know how to make a Hennessy Sidecar she says sure I can do that. I watch her part the Hennessy okay then she picks up a bottle of Citron I know the poor count she put way way over the amount of Citron it should have only been a half an ounce which is why a three count and then a little bit of simple syrup. Well the picture I'm going to give you looks like a lemon drop and it tasted like a lemon drop. So I let her know that hey this drink tastes like a lemon drop and she forcefully in a yelling voice says well I put 2 oz of Hennessy and I said I seen that but you put weight too much Citron she said nothing I said well I want another drink. So I ended up ordering a lemon drop which was no better in The Taste line I ordered a second one the second one was horrible. I go to order the skip skip which is more for a party of four to six people the bread was overcooked maybe it was from yesterday but it definitely was not fresh. The dip of vinegar and oil with herbs was the best tasting thing. This was my first experience at this restaurant I will try again but I will do a table seating and see how it goes. When the locals came in that bartender got turned up she gave them exactly what they wanted I wish I had that experience I was so bummed out. Hopefully my next review will be much better. There was no warm welcome here they just looked at me very funny because I had that brown skin I really felt that way. I'm hoping that the owner of this establishment looks at this review because I sent a review on Toast and have not received a response. And the upcharge on the vodka was really weird.
They made us wait 20 minutes for god knows why even though the tables were empty on the second floor. Food took almost half an hour and the waitress forgot the order for one of us and blamed it on us that we never ordered. One of us had a gluten allergy and the waitress came back 30 mins later saying that the pasta we ordered can't be made gluten free and we had to order a gluten free pizza that took another 15 mins. The pizza was ridiculous and the chef should be ashamed to say that it was a PIZZA (The toppings were raw, it was basically salad on a bread) !! The poor service and inexperienced chefs ruined the place.

Food is great but the service is horrible! It seems that the male server is ignoring our table. I have my sick mom on a wheelchair and is extremely tired, so I have leave and just paid for the soup and my drink. The food that I ordered takes so long to arrive at our table. We got there around 6:00pm and was waiting till 6:30 pm, with no food, so I decided to leave. Every time I visit skipolini’s I had a horrible experience and talk about terrible service!

They put it in the over (doubtful). When they served it again, it was exactly the same as when we sent it back. My first and last time at Skipolini's. Over priced...poor quality.
