Shiniyucu Oaxaca Reviews
Cash only, simple humble family run Japanese. Closes at 7pm. Nice noodles with ginger broth, vegetable tempura, mango shakes. No alcohol. A nice find. We will return.
When in Oaxaca…eat at the little Japanese restaurant. Look I just wanted something light and fast and delicious and I got all three here. Will this make my top ten list of Japanese restaurants worldwide? No. But did it deliver on everything I wanted, was the mesera lovely, was the price right? YES. If you’re not giving this joint 5 stars you’re just not looking at it right.
We had a delightful dinner here on a Friday evening. We both had shrimp and vegetable tempura, which was served with perfect sticky rice and some of the best miso I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. A robust diverse menu, with tantalizing Japanese options. We will be back! Cash only.
Amazing little place, great food, fast service, lovely staff. And I mean you don't find prices like that in the center of Oaxaca anymore, especially not for something "exotic" like Japanese food thats also really good. They have a couple of vegetarian options. 10/10 will be coming back and recommending to all.
If nourishment and flavour is something you’re craving at a bargain price - this will deliver. I took the chicken ramen which had a wonderful heat to hit. It’s not authentic Japanese but it does hit the spot. Great wifi and table service. Cash only.
Best service. Food was tasty, and the atmosphere is cute. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Will be back.
While the ramen didn't make my top 5, but for the price quality ratio, this was great! Good atmosphere and service. They also have great japanese yogurt drink.
The noodles here are hand made! Soups are delicious! And the cheap price! Even local people could afford. This is the real Japan spirit. You don’t know how happy when me as an Asian found this Place. I’m done with Mole. Their Ramen saved my stomach.
This lovely Japanese restaurant serves high quality food with great taste for a very affordable price. The vegetarian/vegan options are also great. Definitely recommendable.
Go there!! You won't regret it!! Cute little place. We ate there twice!! The ramen is soooo good! Great service, very nice and polite staff. Great atmosphere, you feel just at home. The cook and owner is a Japanese woman that moved to Oaxaca, she's super nice and friendly! You can feel how much the good service is important to her! They accept only cash.
Love love love Sakura Shokudou!!! It's owned (and the dishes are cooked) by 2 amazing Japanese women, which gives you the feeling of home-cooking. The staff is amazing and the dishes are affordable. 100% recommended if you want geniun Japanese food with a home-made twist!!
I've eaten at this place quite a few times and I have enjoyed their dishes every time, their food reminded me Japan as I used to live there for a year. I recommended 100%.
The tokio ramen was a good noodle soup, but did not remind me of ramen. The flavors were more similar to a light chinese noodle soup. The karaage looked like chick fil a chicken nuggets, tasted fine. I was disappointed that there was no dipping sauce with the karaage.
Good chicken, small portions but affordable for price. Good service. Flavor of food was a bit tame and I'd love more choices like Tontkotsu and curry but overall a decent place for lunch.
Food wasn’t very good and expensive for the portions you get. Rice was dripping wet, you have to ask for soy sauce or any sauce, and specialty drink lacked any flavor. If you’re looking for a traditional Japanese restaurant, not your place, if you’re looking for good food, not your place. If you want some authentic, good, well priced Japanese food, make the trek to Sachita.
