Zigzag Pizza Oceanside Reviews
We really enjoyed this little pizza place. We came on a clear day in February. The weather was a little chilly but beautiful. We didn't wait in line at all and were able to sit facing the street so we could people watch and eat. We paid about 45 bucks for 2 pizzas and a beer. A little expensive but the pizza was really good and it was a cool little setup. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick. All in all it was a nice little dinner and we will be back again for sure.
Good pizza at a reasonable price. A single pizza can feed 2, or one can have leftovers (they aren't nearly as good when cold though.) Rock music themed pizzas, as well as build your own. Salad also available.
My first time experiencing ZigZag pizza. What a great atmosphere, Very kind staff, very quick service and a beautiful location!
The first thing I noticed is that this place smells like a proper pizza parlor. We ordered 6 different pizzas, and 3 salads and all of it was served in under 15 min. I had the "Ticket to Paradise" and it was delicious. The rest of my party of seven also enjoyed thier lunch. No complaints, nothing wasted.
This place is not just another pizza place! The staff is very sharp and I’m a health but so I customize my pizza cauliflower crust, feta, parm, mushroom, fresh basil and garlic and olive oil not sauce and it’s amazing and they get it right every time and it’s DELICIOUS. They have so many options from standard to artisan. It’s right near the beach so Zig Zag your way.
Honestly really good pizza. The crust was light and airy, not greasy or droopy. I really like how you can create your own pizza here. They have plenty of sauce options, and cheeses, as well as a variety of toppings. Their signature pies are pretty worthy, as some are traditional and others exotic. The pizza was made fast and they had ben & Jerry ice cream togo. Definitely a good choice if you are in the area. The parking is limited, most of it is meter or pay lot. But its worth a quarter or 2
We built our own pizzas. We got Mexican coke with it. We didn’t order salad but I saw them making it they looked good too it’s good to see more and more new restaurants are coming in Oceanside downtown. I m glad we tried this place. It was decent place to bring in family and have good pizza right by the Oceanside pier.
My favorite pizza place in Oceanside. You can build your own pizza for $9, as many toppings as you like. They have salad options too. I like building a BBQ chicken pizza with bacon, red onions, cilantro and mozzarella cheese. Great selection of wine, beer and Root beer for the kids. There is outside seating to enjoy while eating your favorite food. Steps to Oceanside Pier. Friendly staff. Happy hour specials. If you like pizza and beer you must check it out.
The restaurant itself is airy and clean, and service was polite and fast. The pizzas we ordered were really good - the "#1 Hit" had a lot more garlic than we were expecting (in a good way), while the "Maggie's Farm" was loaded with fresh vegetables. The pies are also really inexpensive, which is a huge plus.
If you are looking for a reasonable eatery near the pier, this is the spot. Prime location right across from the pier, you can dine in or take out to your nearest hotel or to snack at the beach. Pizza is not bad either, thinner crust and many toppings to choose from. I would definitely come back if I’m craving pizza around the area. 3.8/5 ⭐️
Good place to grab pizza and a salad. Quick service. Pizza comes out super hot so be careful of the first bite. The salad is a meal for sure. So it was pepperoni pizza and the Garden Grove salad. That salad because not only did it look good but also because I lived there for 5 years when I was a little kid. Both were very tasty and filling. They had Dr. Pepper with real sugar. Yum. Overall a pretty good place and very well located on a corner where you can find lots of parking.
Pizza, beer and ice cream. What a great concept. Great cheap date. Lots of toppings, $9 flat. I think there are a couple special ones that are $9.50. Happy hour specials and a legit beer selection. My only issue is the dough. Seems like the dough all the other "make your own pie places" use. Blah.
Great pizza, decent customer service however they're constantly closing 30 minutes early. As someone who worked for an independent quick service food establishment, I know some nights you close up shop due to lack of traffic or the team worked hard whatever you'd like to call it. Even when asking them before they said they cant justify staying open without enough sales. I was in there tonight with multiple other people before me, in line as well as finishing their meals and they began to pack up chairs and sweep around guests. Obvious prep for closing however it was a little over 30 minutes to close. Not cool, at least edit your dang hours.
We went here because it was connected to our hotel. The gluten free pizza was pretty ok. Like many places it was burnt but that’s par for the course for many gluten free pizzas. The sauce was pretty good and the ingredients pretty good too. But they got both of our pizzas wrong. They left off half the ingredients and my wife’s pizza didn’t even have any cheese. They were crowded and I’m not mad. But it was weird how many things they missed. Maybe on a less crowded evening it is better. But for us, we won’t go back.
