Dickey's Barbecue Pit Ocoee Reviews
One of my favorite Barbecue spots. Family run and service with a smile. Delicious brisket, sausage and fall off the bone ribs. Nice to treat customers to a free vanilla ice cream cone. Highly recommended.
My fiancé and I have never been here. The aroma walking in was mouthwatering!!!🥰I will definitely recommend this place. Food was delicious and fresh. The gentleman and lady that served us were absolutely amazing! And then before we left he brought us an ice cream cone for soft serve ice cream which by the way was delicious 🤤. Ty so much for a great first time experience. We definitely will be back
Loved Dickey's Barbecue. Been around for years in the Southeast. Great smell and excellent food. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was very good (as were the fries). Friendly staff. Comfortable place
Oh my God! I'm not even done eating and I had to write a review. EVERYTHING is amazing. I got the sweet BBQ sauce and the California. They were the best! Paired with literally falling away from the day brisket (which is huge because I originally hate the fat) chicken. These guys know what they're doing and you'd be crazy not too make this your #1 spot for literally ANY occasion. Thank you so much this was my first time here and I'm only staying in FL another 2.5 weeks but I hope to experience this as much as possible before I leave lol.
This is how your plate is going to look. Absolutely delicious, great prices and the best (repeating) customer service. I have been a customer for years and ever since the new owners took over, everything got better. You can taste the love and passion in the food. It's a chain franchise, but it's run by very loving people and you should definitely check it out. This is an actual restaurant, not a ghost kitchen like some other locations closer to the parks. If you can, drive here. It's worth it.
SO Delicious! Okra were perfect. Our favorite tiny ice. BBQ sauce was sweet and delicious!
My first time here and eating at Dickey's. First off staff was very friendly and welcomed me when I arrived. I looked at the menu and when I was ready to order they were attentive and friendly. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich (free thanks to the Dicky's app), brisket sandwich, fries, and a drink. The food too a 3 or so mins to prepare (perfectly ok), and the gentleman who brought my food apologized about the wait... So friendly. The food: all was cooked wonderfully. Pulled pork was tender and tasty, brisket was juicy and flavourful, the fries were perfectly cooked. These were some good fries! Portion size was pretty good, I always want more BBQ, but for the value I would say it was pretty close to the price paid. I would definitely come back here. This location is ran by a family (I am assuming, apologies if not) and they were friendly and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend you checking it out.
Great food, great service! The staff is friendly and welcoming which is rare nowadays. Instead of bitter, angry staff that doesn't want to be working there imagine smiling, happy faces that want to take your order! No complaints about the food.. exactly as expected. I had the Westerner sandwich combo with fries. The brisket was tender and had a good smoke to it and the polish kielbasa had a good flavor.
I'm a hard 5 star giver. But nevertheless, Dickey's is a very good 4. Texas style Q and very good sides. Brisket, kielbasa, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and many twists involving the former, such as brisket chili and other hybrids. The sides are done well also. From barbecue beans to cream spinach and all the other expected sides. And also, try the Bourbon pecan pie. Order on line and and enjoy the experience.
Quantity of the food provided is definitely not worth the price charged at the location in Ocoee, Florida. $6.99 for this small order of Brisket with no sides or drink. Should have driven the extra 2 miles down the road to Sonny’s.
Okay-ish. We’ve been on the hunt for a great bbq place and we’re still looking. The food is bland without much flavor at all. I want bbq that you can eat with or without sauce but at Dickeys, you need the sauce because the meat is very dry. With a 3 item platter, they give a tiny sauce cup that was barely enough for one piece of meat. I ended up having to use a bottle of bbq that I had in the fridge to make it able to be swallowed. It was that dry. The sides are bland and I had to doctor them up as well. Not worth it. We’ll keep looking for a delicious bbq joint in Orlando.
First time trying this place. Not really thrilled about the whole experience. It was an Uber order so that made the food cold in itself. Ordered 3 meals total and 2 had issues. The two meat combo was a joke for what you get. I orders sliced brisket and got chopped with mostly fat. The Jalapeño kielbasa was so dry it just crumbled. No pickles sent and a dry piece of bread. Another order was a potato. That was a good size. Again chopped brisket with a huge piece of fat that was almost all the meat. No sour cream sent for it or barbecue sauce. The only decent thing was the brisket Mac and cheese bowl. Had I eaten there it would of all been returned. Beans were bland. Mac and cheese was good. 50 bucks for subpar food. Sorry but not going back.
Wow worst BBQ for the money. 1st I've never seen such small portions, but to be honest I'm glad there wasn't more of it, it was that bad. All the sides tasted canned or prepackaged. The BBQ was flavorless, and nothing was hot which is crazy because the order was not completed when I got there. They forgot my rolls, and they overcharged me. When I showed the manager the overcharge on the bill he said the regional would take care of it. Of course I have yet to hear from him. I also tried to contact their customer care before leaving a review only to get a voicemail. Over $30 and this is what i got. Update- 3 weeks of back and forth and corporate office says the owner of this location refuses to refund the overcharge. Corporate says nothing they can do but would send me some coupons. Thanks no thanks I won't be eating this sad excuse for BBQ again.
Ordered delivery … very unsatisfactory. The sausage was left off my order and when I called they said they were out so they just gave me extra brisket… Brisket was ok tasting, ribs were ok at best, pulled pork was extra dry. I ordered a sweet potato casserole and the picture below is what showed up! Absolutely disgusting! The spinach dip thingy was the only thing that tasted worth any money I spent! Very disappointed with the meal and service.
I ordered the pork out platter and they forgot my ribs, dinner roll and sauce then I found plastic bag in my food. $36 and this is what I get?????? Never again!! So I took my food back and the manager was not apologetic at all, in fact very rude! I wanted my money back and my meal paid for and he refused! They tried to give me $22.00 but I paid $36.00. I left with no food and extremely unhappy with the unprofessional attitude of everyone there! Thank for ruining my 4th of July dinner and I will pursue this further. I recommend to never order from them or dine in.
**WAIST OF MONEY, WORST BBQ I'VE EVER HAD** * My Order Beef brisket burnt ends - very bland with no flavor at all. Beef brisket chili - I received Mac n cheese covered with a little chili. ( I don't like Mac n cheese ) Baked beans - ok Waffle fries - ok
Underwhelming. I suppose I shouldn't have expected much late on a Saturday evening, but I had never been to this store so I thought I would give it a try. Here's the main issue I have ... the menu pricing doesn't match the prices they charge. And I'm not talking about printed paper menus ... I mean the electronic menu board hanging over the counter. BUYERS BEWARE! I ordered their sausage and pork combo, and the board clearly stated $14. After paying I realized I was charged $15.25 for that plate. (See pics) When I brought this to the staff's attention they just seemed perplexed. The lady there offered to give me some extra sausage, and they were nice otherwise so I didn't go full-on Karen. But how does this happen? Stores use electronic menu boards to make pricing changes easier, and the register and menu boards should be in sync. In any case I just felt dirty after this experience. The food was not especially hot or fresh. I had Cole slaw and beans as sides (even though the receipt shows a potato casserole (?). Nothing special. I happen to like Sonny's BBQ. I sorta set my BBQ bar with them. When I try a different place, and leave feeling like I shoulda just gone to Sonny's that's all I need to know. And with Sonny's and 4Rivers both just a short drive away, this place really needs to step up. In all fairness, I had eaten in Dickeys in Texas in the past and it was much better.
I’m very displeased! My meat was dry and warm to cool in temp. It looked as if it was sitting out for hours. I even went to get the meat replaced with something fresher and was brought out the same stuff. I been to the Dickeys in State College, PA and the food was great unfortunately this location isn’t the same.
Well I got what was supposed to be a Texas style smoked brisket sandwich. I now have no need to go to Texas if that's how they cook. The brisket was like an attempt to smoke a fat laden pot roast. The bun was so stale that the microwave couldn't even bring it back to life. To top it off even the onions had no flavor. If you enjoy pickle chips then I would recommend going there for that. Do yourself a favor and smoke your own brisket for an enjoyable treat.😎
This place was disgusting. I wish I would of read the reviews before ordering this. You were all correct. Trash. Brisket was like roadkill. Smh
