McAlister's Deli Odessa Reviews
I had just gotten out of a surgery and went to this location to get some good food to-gonand noticed how nice their remodel was. There was an amazing girl behind the register, I believe her name was Nellie. She made mine and my husbands day. The only thing that was unfortunate was a woman who I believe was the manager was in the back having a full blown yelling match with a man. They neglected making our food, so it took around an hour to get it out and there was hardly anyone in there. Our cashier kept apologizing for the wait and eventually we witnessed her and another girl back there getting it all ready for us. I don't often make reviews for the people, but we felt the need to this time because that girl was hard worker, great customer service, and just over all the most pleasant part about our experience. I've been in the restaurant industry for 15 years, so I just needed make it known to y'all that you have an employee with great potential and a willingness to learn, give her the opportunities she needs to hone it.
Great tasting fresh food. Although I continue my hunt for the best old school diner clubhouse and pulled turkey breast.
Service was far above most restaurants in that area. The food was good. But the atmosphere did not match the quality of Service the managers and workers put into their jobs. The owners could do to invest in their shop..
Summertime means I have Fridays off from work. It’s the perfect time to go out for lunch and get a break from cooking. Today, I had the McAlister’s Club sandwich, potato salad, and lemonade. 5 stars! Everything about this sandwich screamed quality and care. It was stuffed full of meat and cheese and lettuce and the honey mustard spread was glorious. This sandwich is every bit as good as what I’d make at home, except I didn’t have to make it! And the potato salad was so tasty and creamy I wanted to order a tub to take home. This restaurant is a step above the usual sandwich shops in town. Whether you eat in the restaurant or get your meal to go, it will be a yummy experience!
Visited this location while I was out of town working and it was as great. The pickup window is only for online orders but the employee was pleasant in letting me know. I drove around and walked inside and easily placed an order. My food was ready in no time and I was able to move along with my day smoothly.
Nice place for food and you get free ice tea as much as you want and can drink, has enough parking space and seating place, sometime becomes noisy but overall food is good !!
You’re telling me the macaroni is 6.19 cents and the tortilla soup is pretty much the same AND THATS THE SIZE I GET FOR THE MACARONI. This has got to be a joke. I drove a half hour to get this and a half hour back home only to realize this. I’m so dead serious this better be a mistake and I feel I should be reimbursed whatever the difference is if this is wrong. On top of that the half sandwich wasn’t even five inches big. The avocado was browning. There was no chipotle ranch at all. I’m so disappointed it’s not even funny.
I normally have a good experience but not so much this time. I ordered the pick 2 and ordered a half baked potato and a half broccoli cheddar soup with a sweet tea. I requested sour cream and butter on my baked potato and did not receive any so my baked potato was not very good. I guess I will have to make sure in the future that they put it on there before I leave since I ordered to go.
I would have given it a 5 star but the price is extremely high. The food and service is excellent. But $70 for 3 people is excessive. We only had a sandwich & drink a piece. Nothing added nothing really even filling.
This restaurant has really taken a dive. It used to be a clean, lively place. Delicious, fresh food, and the best tea in town. Now you get asked for a tip when paying with card. Sometimes the food doesn't make sense, the tables are generally unclean. As for that signature tea, forget about it. They are now using disgusting city water. I won't be back. It's the end of an era.
They forget some of your order so you get home ready to eat and your missing half of it
every time i go to pick up my order from the window they always have me wait for the longest ! even if i show up a little later than the pick up time or when im on time they take forever ! don’t work there if you don’t want to
Went in to McCalisters like I have locally for over 10 years, hands down my worst experience. Debbie or whatever manager on staff 11/17 at 11:20AM. I tried to pay with $100USD cash, and was refused. The manager decided to openly and blatantly ridicule my choice to use cash and said “For $17.XX, I’m not breaking it” in a rude and condescending tone to my face. The cashier was obviously embarrassed and apologized on her behalf. Seeing how managers treat their customers and staff openly is ridiculous. I didn’t have an attitude, and didn’t disrespect anyone. I just walked in for Christ sake. Then she proceeded to get my coworkers order wrong and rudely deliver it and then double down on the rudeness after he expressed confusion of the order. What’s happened to fine local establishments hiring fine local people? I understand a work environment is stressful, but openly venting that frustration onto your customer is definitely a way to lose business. I love McCalisters deli and hope to keep loving it. Definitely won’t be enjoying it at the west county location anymore.
They wait to make doordash orders until the dasher arrives and talks to an employee. This leads to extremely long wait times and dashers have to wait for employees to take orders and do other things before they are even acknowledged. This is completely unprofessional considering the doordash customers ordered and paid for their food well before the dasher even arrives at the store.
Did a to-go order went to go pick up my order was completely wrong told them what they were missing gave me the smallest portions that they could and then only gave one ranch for three salads no au jus sauce for any of my sandwiches customer service sucked bad will not come back to this one on West county road Ever
I have noticed that 4 out of 5 times when I order a salad, the lettuce has gone bad. This time is not as bad as some iv'e had in the past, but I feel people should know there's a high probability that they are eating expired salad mix. Haven't gone back for over a year, ordered the same salad and the results are the same. Old lettuce.
