El Prez Oliver Court Reviews
Won’t lie, I came here quite hesitant for their food as I usually don’t go somewhere to order tacos, etc. anywhere except in the Chula Vista area. But food was honestly very impressive. I recommend taking the stairs up to the deck to enjoy a couple of drinks or food for some killer views of Pacific Beach. Entrance is a bit confusing but take nothing away from the venue. More for the younger crowd, but Sunday afternoon I went was tame.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT MARGS, GREAT SERVICE!! I am so happy we tried El Prez while in Mission Beach because it truly surpassed our expectations! I had read the great reviews and thought heck yeah, a margarita on a rooftop sounds like a darn good time, so we decided we'd go for happy hour. We sat on their rooftop patio that overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean right off Mission Beach and got to watch the sunset while we enjoyed our drinks. I should also mention this place is like 2 or 3 stories, both indoor and outdoor, with plenty of seating on each level. We ordered the Spicy Garcia and Nina Fresa (both on the rocks margaritas) based on the waitress' recommendation, and they were delicious! We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, a Mixto Bowl (which was a taco salad served in a tortilla shell) and 3 tacos as our entrée. Honestly, if we had known how large a portion the nachos were going to be, we could have easily split those and been fine without entrees! Everything tasted so fresh though and the waitress was so kind and helpful - even though their patio was packed, we never felt forgotten about, she was always there to refill waters and ask if we needed anything else. 10/10 highly recommend trying El Prez the next time you want a really good margarita, bomb good food and a beautiful view!
Yeahh!!! Wonderful and spectacular ocean view! San Diego Sunsets are the best and this is a great spot for everyone BUT it can be loud maybe for ppl over certain edge because is full of college students or girls like us with full energy🙈food and drinks are excellent! Happy Hour time the best for your pocket! If you plan to visit SD you should stop by after you spend time by the beach...parking can be hard outside but they have a VALIDATION for underground parking ask the hostess😉
This place is Amazing! We came here randomly because we wanted a michelada.. We got happy when we had that they not only had Micheladas but tacos as well!! We had the 3 taco platter and we're impressed. The seviche is also good here as recommended by my sister.. my neice & nephew got the chicken strips and the nachos and both were pleasantly surprised how big the portions we're and also delicious. We highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area.. thanks y'all..😁
Soooo this place is my new favorite spot! Although I'm a giants fan and this is a huge packers bar. I still absolutely love this bar! Food is amazing, drinks even better!!! The manager Sean runs a tight ship! He obviously knows a thing or two about running a successful business! He was super friendly and takes care of me and my friends when we frequent this bar! Awesome vibes, greats drinks lots of tvs, and may I add the interior decorator should be rewarded. The dias De La Muertos (day of the dead) theme Is incredible! You have to see for yourself! If you havnt been here yet.... DO IT!!! You will be pleasantly surprised!!!!
Disappointed. I visited a couple years ago and loved the lobster tacos...I’ve been bragging about them to everyone, so when I was back in town my husband and I took his sister and it was a flop. Apparently they don’t have the lobster tacos anymore even though it’s still on the menu not crossed out-it was replaced with a shrimp taco. I went ahead and ordered a shrimp and filet taco same with my husband while my sister in law ordered 2 shrimp. The shrimp tacos all came out with different garnish on them and there was 3 teeny tiny shrimp. The filet taco cheese was burned and I mean burned it was inedible, I sent it back and the replacement was ok. For 4 shrimp tacos, 2 filet tacos and 2 margaritas my total was around $50-worst money spent. I’m sad to say I will not be visiting this establishment again😒
I've been to a ton of restaurants in San Diego but this is definitely at the top of the worst list. I ordered a Presidential margarita that had literally 3 sips (all ice) which the bartender left out the grand mariner. The menu price for this margarita was $14 but when the bill came, they charged me $15 and added a 4% service charge. I kindly asked our waitress and she said that she wasn't the one who added the surcharge and the reason the margarita was a different price was because they're updating the menu. Honestly, it's the principal that they are dishonest. The food was very marginal. The best thing was the service from our server. They do not provide a written receipt either. So, we'll see, when I get my credit card statement, if in fact they removed the service charge as promised. I would NEVER recommend this place.
