El Pollo Loco Orange Reviews
Ran into this place while looking for another place to eat. I'm glad I dropped in to check out. Food was good as well as the the service. I'll be back to try the bento box.
I had et bowl so good friendly staff felt welcome. I had eel acouple of different way I didn't like at all but I was willing to give a other chance. I wish I ordered extra eel. Normally I write a review after my meal but because it so good I did it before I finished it.
you get so much food for what you pay! I love to get the chicken and Tokyo steak bowl, absolutely delicious and the customer service is great! always kind and attentive
They have an electrical outlet outside by the parking lot that works. This is one of the only places someone without a car or a home in Orange can charge a phone when in this city. For that fact alone they get five stars. The food is good and the staff is friendly and helpful as well. It is a good choice to dine here so that this business will thrive and the phones of those who are in the know can stay alive that much longer.
A bit pricey and takes quite some time to get your order. Good parking spaces. Really good tasting food. I get the half chicken half steak with veggie bowl. This is good but wouldn't drive a distance for it. Friendly staff and decent clean dining room. Table and chairs with no booths.
Healthy and tasty! The food tastes right off the grill. This is a no frills place especially for diet friendly food. I come here maybe every other week!
My entire family loves Fuji Grill. Food is consistently good and priced well. Always come for their lunch special and Alaska bowl. Highly recommend trying it out.
I started coming here almost 20 years ago and I'm so glad they are still here! Both their beef and chicken are good, but I do prefer their beef. The taste and smell of it is very nostalgic. Their sushi is also good value, so there's something for everyone here.
I had posted a review about this place a few months ago but I want to add a 3 other people to the "hard working crew" folder, the food as I stated in my previous review is always great, but what makes you want to return to a place is not only good food but also good service, when I go to any place I like to watch the workers and see which ones enjoy what they do, there is a young guy named Fernando that goes out of his way to make sure orders are correct and always has a smile, now there are 2 young girls one is Marisol, very nice girl and always moving around doing something and then this girl I had not seen before just as courteous and hard working, her name is Anabel, all 3 deserve a raise or at least management should aknowledge their hard work, keep up the good work and big props to management for choosing the right people!!!
This Pollo Loco is the fastest one I ever visited, great food, customer service and efficiency.
Got order right in the drive through & were fast & friendly!
Great service, great bowls, good prices. Hard to find all three with the price of everything going up.
They have pretty good food here...I don't usually eat chicken as fast food at all but we were looking for a restroom on our way home from the beach and the AmPm one was under maintenance so we found this place and decided to eat here and I was pleasantly surprised! The birria tacos were good and crunchy and the cheese melted just right over the chicken that was nice and tender! Good service as well
Good for a quick stop if you want basic teriyaki chicken or beef. The usual sides and rolls are on offer as well.
Service was excellent. The server was very friendly and served with a smile. The food was more like a 3.5, but it’s hard to expect a lot from a fast casual spot. Tempura was fried in oil that was a bit old and the beef/steak option wasn’t great. Chicken wasn’t bad and the California roll wasn’t bad either.
Chips weren't as great as usual, but this is a pretty consistent location.
This El Pollo Loco is Great sometimes though it is not consistent. If you visit when busy it's always Good. The times when it's slow then much of the Chicken and Other items have been cooked and are not as Fresh. El Pollo has Some Tasty Food and the Sauces are pretty good too.
Food is phenomenal, tastes healthy, and has decent prices! The girl at the cash register was almost non/responsive, rude, and multiple times said “we don’t do that” when it was listed directly on the menu. I felt rude myself but had to ask to be sure multiple times and she would act annoyed only to realize I was right. Prices on the menu boards do not match the actual prices we were charged.
I like the presentation of the good the sauces were incredible. But the beef wasn’t up to par for the traditional teriyaki bowls or plates that I’m used to! Much more of a nerve filled meat and chewy.. I’m used to chunks of beef or not as chewy! Still would say it was generous in portion so worth the money! If the beef were up a notch I would give a higher score but nonetheless it wasn’t terrible so I would say worth a shot to try! Friendly staff as well!
This place use to be nicer. Ever since they hor rid of the cashiers it makes the process so much harder to deal with. My mom stopped going all together. Most senior citizens turn around once they see a machine. I use it off and on. But the machine always has some issues. With a coupon or pretty much anything else. We are down to eating el pollo loco once every 6 months. We use to eat it twice a month. My mom would buy dinner, now we just order Pizza.
I love El Pollo Loco in general but this time the chicken in all of our meals was very overcooked and very dry. I tried the "Keto Burrito" for the first time. Only 11 carbs apparently! It was enjoyable eating a burrito again, since I'm low carb, I usually only get chicken or one of the salads. I like that they offer low carb options! The burrito was pretty good.. except for the dry chicken. Another disappointment was that the avocado salsa is different. It's thinner and it's WAY TOO HOT. All the salsas seem less tasty overall and all much hotter than in the past. There used to be fresh cilantro in the pico salsa. There's very little taste to it. The new "cauliflower with cilantro side" was also lacking. The picture showed actual cilantro in it, but it was completely white with no evidence of cilantro. It was very bland. Restaurant was clean and service was efficient but a little slow. (We ordered inside). There were a few people eating inside but the drive thru was busy.
We requested juicy chicken, but was given the dryer ones that are darker in color for being cooked longer. We took it back and asked for the lighter chicken which is juicy. We assume it was the manager insisted that the cook give us the chicken that we wanted. It was awesome and want to thank her. She is the best. The rice, we think needed more water added to it, because it was a little crunchy. They were so busy, that we had to clean our own table. Other than that. The food was good.
Giving 3 stars since the food tastes fine and the staff seem nice, maybe they are overwhelmed and need more staff? Occasionally give me the wrong order. Have to constantly ask for salsa and dressing at the window. I think this why the line always moves so slow. The customer has to make sure their order is accurate and make sure there is dressing for salads, and that salsa and utensils are provided. Most of my orders are small. For large orders you are really going to have to double check what you receive at this location. I hate to complain but wish them the best to hopefully improve.
Over the past few years, I've found that the quality of their chicken has really gone down. The chicken pieces were larger and LOOKED like chicken! Now, the pieces of chicken are much smaller and it's hard to tell which piece of meat it is. The taste is still good, but why are pieces from other chicken restaurants larger and recognizable? It's really sad. I have always loved Pollo Loco, but the public wants their money's worth when eating out! Sadly, it's not anymore for me.
classic tostado lots and lots of lettuce no cheese 1/2 teaspoon sour cream very little chicken. they must make a bunch on these if they all come like that!! very disappointing won't be back
I ordered the carnitas combo and the meat was a bit old but to my surprise the taco was super spicy! That is the first time I've had carnitas tacos that were spicy! Nowhere did I see that it claimed to be spicy! What if I had a allergy to spicy food? I don't like spicy food, my mouth was on fire 🔥 after a bite or two. I can't enjoy food or taste it when my mouth is burning! The women working there were not professional, I felt ignored. One lady started to speak in her native language which I find to be very rude! The guy/young 🧒 man was nice. He was the one who took my order.
So about once a year I retry El Pollo Loco (which I swear I loved as a kid but as a grown up it has never lived up to my memory) so tonight I was excited to try their new fit bowls and my standard BRC burrito. First of all, the picture and menu description are a little decivieng- there is very little protein, the avocado is more like guacamole, and it's on a bed of (mostly) ice burg lettuce. So disappointing, they could have easily made it delicious, but instead it was mostly lettuce. To top it off the guy taking my order forgot my burrito. Sad. I would recommend smaller family owner local places for really good grilled chicken- you'll get more food, spend less money, and it will be more than just lettuce.
We ordered 4 bowls yesterday around 6:30pm and when we arrived home to eat. The chicken was burnt and tough to eat and something was off like it was old chicken. I called in this morning and talked to Eric the manager or owner and he was rude and only would replace if we brought back the bowls which we through away. Horrible service and we really love this place, I guess its time to find a place closer to us.
Food was too overcooked/burnt to eat, didn't find out until opened bag to eat at home. Management does not return my call/email for refund. You have been warned!
Been going there for many years, under the old management. Food was great and price too. Now, things changed. Food quality has changed. I asked to have the edamame in the side as usual, and they said they couldn’t. That they do do that any more! Wow, simple request and wouldn’t do it. Also, the rice is not the same. I used to love this place but now won’t be returning anymore… oh and all my friends who also would be there all the time. Also, they stop taking order early, but they keep doors open and open sign on. I hate writing bad reviews but this time I had to.
Ordered my food for pick up at 7:15pm. The food was getting bagged up at 7:20 when Marisol triple stacked the salads and one hit the ground, while the second tostada salad slipped out of the bag and sat on it's side - spilling all of it's contents out of the tostada. The 2 other employees stepped over the mess and just looked at the second salad sitting on it's side. The spilled salad was remade incorrectly. Since the spill happened the staff completly forgot to finish the order, so our chips and guac were left out. The staff definately needs some retraining and focus on what good customer service actually is.
Horrible brc burrito. Update: the night manager was very polite and offered to remake the bad brc burrito. My burrito had nocheese and no beans. The remade burrito had extra rice, no cheese, and one teaspoon of beans. Cold and flavorless. Not up to the franchises fresh and tasty standards. A bit unclean, and panhandlers camped out at the electric socket charging phones and collecting soda cups. El pollo's SOP is to provide 2oz portion of beans per brc. Train workers correctly.
