Easily the best sushi restaurant I've been to. No matter where I go I can't find a better place. Their sushi is amazing and they are a super friendly family owned restaurant.

Okay, hear me out people!! Try the sushi burrito!!! It was so good! I was so on the fence about this sushi burrito but when I tell you it was bomb!! I didn't wait long for my order. And it was so fresh and flavorful.

I purchased a spicy tuna roll w/out tip. I was pleasantly surprised by the respect and professional character of Sam's service while I wallowed from my previous mistakes in my life. I left a tip that I could afford since I am homeless. Suffice to say that I was recognized and recompensed with my tip in return and then some... This kind of service and hospitality is holy and beyond capitalism. May God bless this establishment and families tied to it. I am forever grateful.

It's a great place to get your sushi fix quick! Very decent sushi at a nice price. They're generous with the portions so you get a good bang for your buck. The interior is cute too. I finally decided to leave a review because the staff is so nice (the lady who works there is especially sweet)! They more than earned a good review. I highly recommend this spot

Absolutely phenomenal sushi. The owner and chef used to work here before the management left, so he decided to buy the place. Been there for 15 years the cashier told me. I've rarely been to places that actually wow me in terms of food and I can now confidently say THIS is the BEST sushi place I've ever gone to (And I've eaten at a couple of joints at Japan before, but thats another story). I got the Sunshine and Dragon rolls, and sheeesh. Me and my date were giggling like two toddlers discovering bubble wrap for the first time. Will take my mother here for a nice time

Food is fresh and service is spectacular. I just had dinner here. The cashier was taking a phone order and just before she told the customer on the phone she asked how many rolls I was ordering to give the person on the phone an idea of time, to ensure the customer in front of her got their food first. I think this was fantastic and a great way to show a customer how much they are appreciated.

This was a wonderful and delicious place to go to. Great service and good prices. All the food was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend if you like sushi at all. They even made accommodations for my fiance who is allergic to crab.

Family owned and operated, great place for take out sushi. Large selection of rolls. Prices on par or a bit higher than most places in orange. Worth a try if you live in the area.

KAI Sushi & Roll is a true gem in the over saturated OC market. I found this place in a random search for close, authentic sushi and I was not dissappointed. Their rolls are perfectly proportioned with any ingredient that's inserted exemplifying the fullest flavor of every bite. However, where KAI Sushi & Roll really excels is with their sushi. The chef cuts the pieces so well that you can feel the full texture of the fish and taste the clean full bodied flavor of it, too. Put that on top of some of the best sticky rice I've ever had and you have something that is absolutely divine. The attention to the plating is testament to that fact...it's beautiful. If you are a sushi consesieur, try their 8-piece deluxe sushi combo with the spicy tuna roll and you will not be disappointed. In the mood for a "fast food" roll? Get the Las Vegas. I called in my order (it was around 7:40p) I ordered the BENTO BOX w/salmon, also comes with: a salad, veggie tempura, rice, miso soup, and a 4 pc krunch roll It was ready within 10 minutes and the lady was so nice when I came in to pick up my order. Yum! It was very good. I will be back again.

The best sushi in a 30 mile range. We've been hunting for a place to replace this for us but nothing comes close. The food is phenomenal, just the right levels of flavor and spice and clearly crafted lovingly by an artist. Seems to be a small family owned restaurant and the cashier is friendly after a few visits.

Recibimos pedidos por teléfono mientras estábamos allí y entró un grupo de tres. La encargada de recepción estaba muy ocupada; literalmente corría de un lado a otro para atender a todos. Esperamos unos diez minutos por nuestra comida. Pedimos tempura de camarones, rollo California, BSCR y rollo arcoíris. Los camarones tempura estaban fritos a la perfección. Nuestros rollos estaban frescos y deliciosos. Sin duda, volveremos.

KAI Sushi es un restaurante increíble. Nos encanta ir a negocios familiares y apoyarlos. Estábamos en el condado de Orange y queríamos sushi, y encontramos KAI. Vivimos a una hora de distancia y sin duda volveremos. El lugar está muy limpio y parece que hubiera abierto ayer después de 16 años. Been stopping in here for years.. Never disappointing! Worth the stop.. Prices are in the middle for sushi.. Make sure that you are not in a hurry when you come food takes awhile to come out.. But definitely worth the wait.

Mostly various rolls, cut and hand rolls. Had Rainbow roll and Yellowtail roll. Fish was surprisingly tasty but rolls were pretty small and pieces didn't hold together very well.

If it wasn’t for the great sushi you’d only 2 stars! But because of the price issues I can’t give you 4 or even 5 stars! Your prices are all over the place. Webpage say one price (lower), your menu on Google says different price(higher) for same item, and your menu in house says a 3rd price Talk about confusing! Plus the menu pictures on Google map are also a 4th and different price.

Ordered to-go and it took forever even though there were only two tables in there. I got the sushi burrito and the spicy Cali - both were ok. I don’t want to say they were fishy, I think the strange flavor was that they use pickled cucumbers instead of regular ones? Not sure.

Just eh, not the best but not the worst.. Small rolls, small pieces of fish, fresh but could have been fresher, maybe it was frozen? It basically all tasted the same, fish wrapped in rice, couldn't really tell the difference between the Tuna to the Ono to the salmon..

Came on Memorial Day and the place was not full. Service was awful, there was only the cook and an older lady as the server. I had to tell her we were ready to order. The lady was cooking to help cook. The sushi was good but my low review is because of the attitude we got for leaving a low tip and she asked for more. Tipping should reflect the service and attention you receive not just bring the food to the table. Also! No alcohol served.

This is the exact reason why I don't do places like this. First off the woman behind the counter was rude but the most important thing is that the food was gross, like some of the worst I've ever had. The supposedly eel sauce was more vinegar tasting than anything else and the rest of it was just mushy and nasty. The roll was worth maybe and I stress MAYBE $4.00 and DEFINITELY not $12.00. I won't ever eat there again, I won't even drive by the place it was that bad. To those that think this food is awesome apparently you've never had real versions of this food before!!

I come in here regularly, today is my final visit. After placing my order, the cashier comes to me and asks "are you dining in here?" I said yes. Then she proceeds to say because the last time you didn't leave a "tip". They are requiring me to leave a tip every time I come here as if I don't spend more than enough when I come here. For all of you reading this, let me just say yeah I have left a tip here and there, but these guys are over doing it. A "tip" is an option not mandatory.

Fish tastes old and has that fishy smell. Tried this place twice and both times the fish is not fresh. The seeweed is chewy which means it's old or not stored right. From the smell of it, it's old.

Came here with my son a few times before. We have been regular customers. But this time Was the worst experience I have had. The older woman who works here is extremely rude and harrassed me for a tip before I even finished my food! Will not be back.

They open at 11 and me and my family got there at 11:40 and she told us to wait 20 minutes because they’re still opening. After we ate our food my husband approached the cash register to pay which he did and then she got mad saying “excuse me where is my tip?” In all my 30 years of life I’ve never had someone ask for their tip. I was getting ready to leave her tip on the table but she aggressively requested for her 15% tip from my husband. Don’t recommend dining in or you’ll get harassed for a tip.

I was extremely disappointed with the service during my recent visit. I’ve been a regular customer, but this experience made me feel like I didn’t belong in the restaurant. I began placing my order, but the waitress—who I believe is also the owner—walked away in the middle of it without explanation, which I found strange and disrespectful. When she returned, she simply brought water and never once asked if I wanted wasabi, anything to drink, or any extras. Her attitude felt cold, dismissive, and standoffish, despite the fact that I was polite and pleasant throughout the interaction. It truly felt like she didn’t want me there. This level of service was not only disappointing but made me question whether I’ll return. As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Honestly the food was decent but the lady was so rude and hostile that I will not be returning. I paid 15 bucks for a small bowl and she refused to give me a packet of Sriracha sauce . She kept saying “ no you pay for it”. Her customer service is crappy.

Me decepcionó muchísimo el servicio durante mi reciente visita. He sido cliente habitual, pero esta experiencia me hizo sentir fuera de lugar en el restaurante. Empecé a pedir, pero la camarera —que creo que también es la dueña— se marchó sin darme explicaciones, lo cual me pareció extraño e irrespetuoso. Cuando regresó, simplemente me trajo agua y ni una sola vez me preguntó si quería wasabi, algo para beber ni nada extra. Su actitud me pareció fría, despectiva y distante, a pesar de que fui educado y amable durante toda la interacción. Realmente sentí que no me quería allí. Este nivel de servicio no solo fue decepcionante, sino que me hizo dudar de si volveré. Como cliente fiel, espero ser tratado con respeto.
