We regularly go here. Two for dinner $30-45. Creative chef who takes common dishes up a knotch. The burger was delish. The cut of meat was outstanding. Pasta is great. Service has been consistantly good. We wiill be back.
I recently stopped at Blue Plate Special in Northern California with my daughter and boyfriend during our drive to Vancouver BC. The spaghetti was absolutely delicious, and my boyfriend enjoyed the enormous Big Joe Burger with perfectly cooked tots. The waitress was incredibly helpful and had a great sense of humor, making our dining experience enjoyable. We loved this little gem of a place!
Not much on looks from the outside or inside, but this was a hidden gem. There is always a daily blue plate special, as the name suggests, and everything is served on a blue plate. The day I went, it was a prime rib dip sandwich with fries. I am not a fan of prime rib, but this sandwich was amazing!! It was a little pricey for lunch, but it was one of the best sandwiches I have had.

Even though inside is still closed they have outside covered eating area that is open. They also have a full bar. I ordered a margarita that was very good and a club sandwich with homemade onion rings which were awesome. And the sandwich was prolly the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend getting this place out

I had the prime rib dip and French fries (the special). They were very accommodating. It's right off the interstate.
The food was exceptional - especially for the price. Freshly made and very tasty. Awesome Lentil soup. Meatloaf was awesome. Cocktail was very refreshing. Prices were very reasonable. Waitress was attentive and Chef cared about what you thought of the fish you ordered. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area. Just off the I-5 Frwy if you are just passing through.

The food here is actually really good!! Try their bbq chicken or brisket. the portion are huge as well.

Food was amazing! We ordered the capellini pasta, pesto pasta, and the spicy chicken sandwich — everything was packed with flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy and super tasty. Great stop right off the I-5 — definitely worth it!
Good little diner. Great service too Got the chicken fried steak breakfast and it was tasty enough. It is not huge portions though. I'm a light eater and finished it all. The gravy is kind of bland and the potatoes needed to be cooked more. But overall it was good enough. Probably wouldn't go back
This place is quickly growing into my favorite restaurant in Orland! The turn around from their previous iteration has been amazing. Of course I have a weakness for Italian food so that helps. It's still growing into its new self, but I highly recommend it.

Very friendly staff, and great atmosphere though.

Don't order the seafood platter picture will follow this post. The scallops oysters and cod was so overdone I was unable to eat them. The prawns were perfectly done. Baked potatoes seemed like they had been cooked twice. My friends ribs weren't very tasty it didn't fall off the bone. But other than that waitress was good.

Country Potatoes were excellent. Sunny side up eggs were okay and steak was very bland with plenty of fat meat. $35 for the meal, outrageous. Service was decent. If you love bland steak this is your place, not coming back.
